HER POV

Back at home. 
A small apartment. 

Cozy. 
Minimal. 
Just the way you like it. 

With a heavy heart, you looked around the room, taking in every single corner into your little mind. 
Two years of memories. 

You heaved a sigh,
You threw your keys at the tabletop and boiled some water. 
You slipped on some bedroom slipper and made your way to your room. 

You sat down on the floor and reached for the box underneath your bed. 
You opened the cover. 
 

• Two pairs of Socks. 
  (Size S and Size L) 

• Two Shirts. 
  (Size S and Size L) 

• Two Coffee Mugs
  (Painted as "His" & "Hers") 

• Two necklaces. 

You picked up the necklaces. 
Each necklace hung star charms. 
You bought two charms every single month after you've reached Australia. 
You brought your fingers to lightly caress all the 23 star charms, on his necklace. 

You're not sure why did you do this. 
It just came to you naturally. 
Maybe your heart has really not forgotten him. 

You pulled your shopping bag closer to you and dugged inside for your newly boughts. 
Two star charms were neatly packaged in a transparent plastic. 
You pull off the sticky flap and reached for one of the star charm. 

You your fingers on the tiny star. 
"Daehyun-ah, I really still love you. 
Is this love? 
Why is it so hard to forget you? 
Seriously, after leaving you two times, I am always left heartbroken. 
Yet it seemed like the right thing to do, every time. " you spoke aloud. 
"To lea-ve, " you choked on your own words. 

You hook the charm into each necklace.
You brought both close to your lips and shut your eyes.
"Faith," you whispered to the charm.


You bit your lips and tucked the necklace back into the box
You pull your knees close to your chest. 


For the first time in two years. 
Your eyes were filled with tears, while your mind thinks of Daehyun. 




HIS POV 

We are heading to our next schedules. 
Like always. 
Four years in this industry. 

I... am not tired of being a singer. 
I'm tired of the life of an idol. 

Schedules after Schedules. 
Always putting on a smile. 
You can never really cry when you want. 
You can never have the private life you desire. 
You can never,.. be with the girl that you love. 

I have been pondering over the reasons why she would leave me. 
Even after she came back, she left me again. 

I guess its because I'm an idol... 
I hope I'm wrong. 

"Hyung... " YoungJae shook me. 
Have I been sleeping? 
"We have reached. " 

Yes... The next schedule. 
Here we go again. 

HER POV. 
You cried till you were tired of crying. 
You never enjoyed crying honestly. 
You don't think anyone would. 
It makes your eyes swollen and puffy, and it makes your face bloated. 

*Sniff Sniff* 

You were about to throw the bag away, you felt some weight inside. 
Oh right, she had a present for you. 

You peered inside. 
It was kept in a red satin box. 

Inside lies, .. 

Two rings. 

You gasped. 
These are really expensive. 
You found a note, hastily scribbled. 
She is such an angel. 

You found yourself crying again as you read it.

Hey Ji Yeon, 
Surpriseeeeee! 
These are memory rings,
I had them engraved maybe about a year back after you told me your story. 
I have been wanting to give you ever since, but it didn't seemed right. 

My dear, 
If his heart stills remembers you, give him one of the ring and keep the other with you. 
If not, just give it to the next person you love. 

If the man is meant for you, it will be. 
No matter after how many difficulties, pain and suffering. 
He will still be with you.

You made a mental note to get her a Christmas present and maybe grab a meal with her before you leave. 
You rarely made good girlfriends, and she's just too sweet. 

You wiped your tears away. 
She's right. 
" Why are you crying?", you scolded yourself. 

If... he still loves me, maybe it is truly fate. 

If not, Just move on. 

For once that night, you smiled. 
You stared at the box underneath your bed. 
"If, Daehyun's... " your lips trembled as you said his name, " heart still has not let me go. " 
You swallowed your saliva, " I'll never let you go too. "
