Author’s POV

Jiyong felt something cold hit him. He immediately opened his eyes to look at who threw cold water to him. He was about to retaliate and hit the person who did it but he couldn’t move his hands. His hands were tied behind him.

Jiyong wanted to cut loose and search for Dara when he heard a voice that made his senses go high on alert.

Dara: Coffee-yah…!

Jiyong immediately darted his eyes to where the voice came from.

To his surprise, Dara was tied to a post. He scanned her, hoping that she’s alright. But as he looked at her from head to toe, he was suddenly punched down to the ground.

He coughed as his head hit the ground.

Jiyong: w-what do you want from me?!

Minzy: Omo, Omo… you’re wide awake Jiyong-sshi.

Jiyong: you…

Minzy: (giggles) you still remember me right? (Smiling) I hope you do. (Glares at him with a grim expression) Because this face will bring misery to your life.

Jiyong: What did I ever do to you?!

Minzy: You denied me a brother. A brother that should have been there to protect me. A brother who should have been there to be with me!

Jiyong: what are you talking about?!

Minzy: (scoffs) don’t act like a fool who doesn’t know anything. You killed my brother. You killed Gong, Yoo!

Jiyong’s eyes widened with realization.

It didn’t even occur to him that Minzy would do this to him to avenge his brother. But does she even know why her brother died?

Jiyong: this is all a mistake Minzy! I didn’t kill him intentionally! It was self defense!

Minzy: self defense my ! I know what you did to my brother. You killed him just because he wanted to be with the woman he loved. You opposed of their relationship so you killed them!

Jiyong: that’s not true! Who told you such bull?!

Junggi: Bull? Is that what you call the truth now?

Jiyong: (gritting his teeth) Lee Junggi…

At the exact same time…

Seunghyun: Omma… please… rest for now.

Jinsil: Seunghyun-ah… I’m so happy to see you here.

Seunghyun: Omma… I’m really sorry to push you away… but… but I felt really betrayed. Why did you lie to me when you were the one who was really sick?

Jinsil: Seunghyun-ah… there are a lot of things a mother could do for their child… But there is only a few things they can tell to their child. There is always fear that parents will leave their children in a world where no one will be able to take care of them. I’ve always thought that I was protecting you from the things that would hurt you.

Seunghyun: (sighs) why… why did you just leave us when you could have told us the truth? Wouldn’t it be better if you let us know what was happening?

Jinsil: I would have… but as a mother… I couldn’t bear see you go through losing a parent again. But it’s my mistake because it’s happening all over again.

Seunghyun: Omma…

Just as Seunghyun and Jinsil was talking in the room, the doors suddenly slammed open and revealed a terrified Bom.

Bom: Omma! (Gasps)

Seunghyun: Bom?

Jinsil: oh… Bom-ah…

Bom: O-Omma… (Runs to Jinsil’s side) did you do anything to her?!

Seunghyun: why would I do anything to my own mother?

Bom: (gasps) (speechless) mm… well…

Jinsil: aigooo… this child… really… what will happen to you when I’m gone.

Bom: Omma! Don’t say that! You can’t leave me! Not when I haven’t married into your family yet! And I promised to be a wonderful wife to your son!

Jinsil: (chuckles) I know. But Jiyong is still indifferent towards you isn’t he? Aigooo… I told you, you should be married to Seunghyun instead. He’s more mature than his brother and you’re both about the same age.

Bom: ah Omma! (Blushes madly)

Seunghyun: Omma… what are you talking about?

Jinsil: aigooo… this child here seems to have her eyes set on a different man. I know you’re more capable of taking care of her and I know that she will be able to take care of you. But she insists on Jiyong instead. This child is really crazy.

Seunghyun: ah… Omma…

Bom: Omma… Seunghyun-oppa already has a girlfriend.

With that said, Jinsil’s expression seems to have saddened even more. Knowing that Seunghyun is already taken it means lesser chance for him to be Bom’s husband.

Jinsil: If only I could ask for a dying wish… I would like Seunghyun to marry you Bom. But as long as Seunghyun and you are happy with your selected partners… then I may be at peace.

Seunghyun: Omma… please don’t say those things. You’ll live for sure. We’ll find a way.

Teddy: I’m afraid that’s going to be quite impossible.

Seunghyun: U-Uncle Teddy…

Meanwhile… at another place… at the exact same time…

Taeyang: this is serious hyung! We wouldn’t even be asking for your help if we can handle this!

Minsuk: Do you know where they took him?

Daesung: to an old warehouse just outside Seoul. Then they moved somewhere else again.

Minsuk: did you follow them?

Daesung: Seungri is acting as one of the goons there. He has a tracker on him so we can track his whereabouts.

Minsuk: are you kidding me?! Why would you risk your friend to do such a thing?!

Taeyang: This is the best we can do to make sure that Jiyong could be saved! We don’t want to lose him again!

Minsuk: Damn it… Why the hell is this all happening to that kid?!
