Jiyong’s POV

I looked at my phone as I hung up the call. I probably should go home but with the mere mention of our parents, I just felt my blood boil with anger.

I shouldn’t really be thinking about some other stuff right now but…

Seungri: hyung! Hyung! I think we found the girl you were talking about!

Jiyong: Muo?!

I immediately rushed to the idiots to see what they meant. Since Seungri and Daesung brought their laptops to watch the surveillance camera recordings from the club, I decided to look at what they were so excited about.

Jiyong: you better be sure that that’s her.

Seungri: I’m sure hyung. Look here.

I leaned in and saw Minzy hugging a guy.

Jiyong: wait… Isn’t that recording just a few days ago?

Seungri: oh… how’s you know hyung?

Jiyong: I saw that scenario happen. But I didn’t get to see the guy’s face.

Daesung: I have the other viewpoint for that same recording. The guy’s wearing a mask.

Jiyong: what? (Goes to Daesung and looks at the screen) damn it…

Taeyang: Don’t you think this is a bit absurd? Why would they be in my club? Everyone in the city knows that my family owns this club. They also know that we hang out here all the time.

Jiyong: that’s the point. I think they’re leading us on.

Taeyang: what?

Jiyong: this Minzy girl befriended Dara for a reason. And I’m starting to understand why.

Taeyang: what do you mean?

Jiyong: She’s trying to know who’s close to me.

The three idiots looked at me really shocked.

I know I said something right since they realized it too. If she’s plotting something against Dara, then she wouldn’t have said something like that. The things she said were meant for me so I’m sure she’s somehow connected to that incident.

If only I can find a way to figure out what this is all about.

We still tried out best to observe what they did. The two people that we followed in the video just talked for a while then they left. We tried watching the other videos and they seem to be coming back at the club at random times and would only talk for a few minutes then they would leave.

After watching every single recording, we couldn’t find anything anymore… Since that was the case, we decided to drink it out.

We didn’t even realize that morning came.

Since we still had classes, we decided to just go home and change. Then go to school, even though we’re drunk.

I sighed as I closed the front door of our house.

As I was removing my shoes, I saw some other shoes by the doorway. Then I heard a kid cry. I scrunched up my face, not tolerating what I’m hearing.

Sang woo: I told you to be careful. Now get up and stop crying now. You’re a big boy right? You shouldn’t be crying like that.

Jinsil: oh Yeobo, be nice to your son. He’s still small.

Sang woo: Well he should learn.

I wrinkled my forehead as I listened to them talk. The guy’s voice seems to be awfully familiar. I just don’t know where I heard it before.

The moment I entered the living room, I saw Seunghyun-hyung standing by the entrance while 4 other people were sitting. One was a man probably the same age as uncle Hyunsuk or younger and beside him is a woman that looks a bit older than the one next to her. The one next to her had red straight hair with bangs. She looks like a doll. And there’s the kid that was crying a while ago… and he kinda looks like me? Who are these people?

Jiyong: hyung, I’m home. Who are they?

Seunghyun: (glances at Jiyong and sighs) they’re—

Sang woo: oh Jiyong! You’ve grown so big and tall! (Stands and walks towards Jiyong)

Seunghyun: (blocks his way) please refrain from touching my brother. He doesn’t like random people touching him.

Sang woo: what nonsense! I’m not just any random person! I’m his father! Now come here!

Jiyong: you’re my father?

Sang woo: oh don’t tell me you already forgot me?

I don’t know why but I suddenly had the urge to punch him. But even though I’m drunk I didn’t go that far…yet. I stepped forward and I held his collar.

Jiyong: father? Some father you are.

Sang woo: (grunts) it’s too early in the morning and you smell like alcohol. (Scoffs) you’ve grown just like me.

Jiyong: you? I will never be someone who abandons their child!

Sang woo:  what are you talking about? We didn’t abandon you. We just went around the world for our honeymoon! When we came back you weren’t home anymore.

Jiyong: you came back? When? After how many years? Do you think nothing changed just because you came back?!

Jinsil: Jiyong-sshi… we’re deeply sorry to have caused you pain over the years. But we tried to search for you. When we did, Hyunsuk-oppa said that you guys were doing fine under his care. We did send you money.

Jiyong: money? Who cares about money?!

Jinsil: but Jiyong-sshi…

Sang woo: Jiyong. Don’t dare talk to your mother like that.

Jiyong: mother? As far as I’m concerned I never had any parents!

And I punched him across his face. He stepped back with the pressure of my punch and the red haired girl suddenly stood up.
