Author’s POV

The next day, Jiyong woke up in his car again. But amazingly, he was just outside of their house. When he realized that he was just outside, he sighed and went down his car to go to their house.

He couldn’t really remember much about what happened last night but he knew there was nothing too serious.

When he entered the house, he was surprised to see a pillow and a blanket on the couch. He wrinkled his forehead and looked around. He went to the kitchen to see Seunghyun cooking. He entered and sat by the table.

Jiyong: hyung…

Seunghyun: (looks) ah… Jiyong-ah… where were you last night?

Jiyong: somewhere. Why?

Seunghyun: (sighs) I saw Dara yesterday. She was drenched under the rain. Good thing I saw her or else she would’ve been in a much worse condition.

Jiyong: m-Muo?

Seunghyun: were you even listening to me?

Jiyong: where did you see her?

Seunghyun: some part in the town.

Jiyong mentally cursed at himself. Blaming himself.

Jiyong: w-what’s her condition?

Seunghyun: she had high fever last night. But it went down a bit. I’m sure she did get some rest…

Jiyong: where is she? Did you bring her to a hospital?

Seunghyun: she’s—

Dara: oppa…

Jiyong flinched when he heard Dara’s voice. He slowly looked back and saw Dara by the entrance of the kitchen. His eyes widened when he saw Dara wearing Seunghyun’s clothes.

Seunghyun: how are you feeling? Are you better now?

Dara: (looking at Jiyong) c-coffee-yah…

Jiyong scoffed and looked away. He gritted his teeth and his chest tightened. It was something he hasn’t experienced before.

A little something called jealousy.

Jiyong: seriously hyung? I thought she was sick last night? What is she doing here in your clothes?

Seunghyun: ahjumma wasn’t answering her phone and no one was at their house. So I brought her here.

Jiyong: well why didn’t you just bring her to the hospital? Was she really sick?

Seunghyun: of course she was! I even called Uncle Teddy! What the hell is with this attitude Ji?!

Jiyong: (scoffs) well you probably had a good night together.

Seunghyun: (hits his head) you idiot! I slept on the couch! You saw the blanket and the pillow there!

Dara: oppa… please don’t fight… and please don’t hit him.

Jiyong: (scoffs and shakes his head while looking away)

Dara just sighed and Seunghyun immediately faced her. He leaned forward and put his forehead onto hers. Although Dara was really red because of her fever, it wasn’t obvious that she blushed the moment Seunghyun did that.

Seunghyun: you’re still sick. You still need to rest. And you still haven’t told me why you were out there yesterday.

Dara felt a lump form in . Although she wanted to tell the truth she didn’t want the brothers to fight. So she chose to stay quiet.

On the other hand, Jiyong was still pissed off. He had an internal fight.

He was thinking whether Dara was really sick or they just had fun last night.

He was still having an inner feud when the doorbell suddenly rang. Seunghyun immediately left the kitchen to answer it, leaving Dara and Jiyong alone in the kitchen.

Dara: c-coffee-yah… m-mianhae…

Jiyong: (looks at her)

Dara: (sighs) I’m really sorry… I—

Teddy: what are you doing out of bed? You should still be resting!

Jiyong: s-Samchon… what are you doing here?

Teddy: oh… you’re here!

Jiyong: I live here.

Teddy: ah… mm… Well, this girl here is my patient. I was attending to her last night because she had high fever. Your hyung told me that he found her sitting somewhere in town, drenched and shaking.

Jiyong felt a big lump form on his throat and just like that he felt guilt consume him.

He immediately felt stupid because he even doubted Dara and his hyung.

Teddy led Dara back to Seunghyun’s room and they tucked her back in bed. After a while, Teddy and Seunghyun went to the kitchen to see Jiyong cooking.

Seunghyun: so do you believe me now?

Jiyong: mm…

Seunghyun: (sighs) you know I wouldn’t do anything to her.

Jiyong: yeah… sorry… I just… (sighs)

Teddy: what’s wrong?

Seunghyun: this kid—

Seunghyun was suddenly cut off because his phone suddenly rang. He looked at the caller id.

Hyunsuk Samchon

Seunghyun immediately answered it since it was his uncle.

Hyunsuk: where are you?

Seunghyun: I’m at home. Something came up.

Hyunsuk: what happened?

Seunghyun: Dara’s sick and she’s here right now. No one’s home and ahjumma isn’t answering her phone so I brought her home.

Hyunsuk: is she feeling better now?

Seunghyun: yeah… uncle Teddy’s here to check up on her again.

Hyunsuk: (sighs) I know you need to stay there but I really need you in the restaurant today. There’s a problem with the paper works. And there’s also someone we’re supposed to meet today.

Seunghyun: I see… but…

Hyunsuk: If Jiyong is there, can’t he just take care of dara? I really, really need you here.

Seunghyun: (sighs) de… I’ll be there then.

Hyunsuk: you can go home just right after we meet them. So please come right away.

Seunghyun: mm… arasso…

Seunghyun dropped the call. Jiyong and Teddy looked at him, knowing that he has to leave.

Seunghyun: I’ll be back as soon as we’re done.

Jiyong: mm… I can take care of her while your gone.

Seunghyun: please do… and… ask her what happened yesterday.

Jiyong: I… know.

Seunghyun: what? How did you—

Jiyong: I’ll explain when you come home later. But you should go to uncle Hyunsuk now. He needs you.

Teddy: I also need to go. I still have a shift in the hospital. (Puts the medicine on the table) give this to her after she eats ok? Make sure she drinks it.

Jiyong: I will.

Seunghyun prepared while Teddy left. After preparing, he went back to the kitchen to see that Jiyong had already prepared the food on a tray.

Seunghyun: you owe me an explanation when I get back.

Jiyong: (nods) please be back early…

Seunghyun: I will…
