The next day Emi went to check up on Niddie, she expected her to still be in bed. She was shocked to find Niddie up out of bed looking out of the window. She turned around when Emi walked into her room.

"Good morning." She said quietly, a small smile on her face.

"Hi...I didn't think you'd be up."

Niddie just shrugged, "I'm kind of hungry."

Emi took a closer look at Niddie when she walked up to her, her eyes were so puffy, she had been crying all night. Emi's face filled up with concern quickly.

Niddie turned away from her, "So is Kon going to be at breakfast?" Niddie asked.

Emi was surprised that Niddie would ask about him, "Yes actually he is." Niddie nodded and walked by Emi to go downstairs. Emi followed her, extremely confused. Niddie took her seat at the table and waited for Kon to arrive. When he did, he too, was surprised to see Niddie sitting there. He looked at Emi who just shrugged.

"Good morning." He said to her in his light voice.

"Hi." She said nodding to him and smiling. He smiled back at her.

"Emi can you go get Mike for me? I need him to go with me to work today." He said, Emi bowed and went to find Mike. Kon sat down and turned to Niddie. "I'm a bit surprised you're down here." He said honestly.

"I figure it's best to not fight anything anymore." She just answered.

Kon nodded. Mike walked into the dining room and was surprised to see Niddie as well. He walked over to the table and bowed to Kon. She barely paid attention to him.

"Hey, just wait there for a bit and let me get some breakfast and then we can head out." Kon said. Mike nodded and went to stand at the door. Kon turned to Niddie, "Are you ok? You look kind of sick." He said to Niddie and carassed her cheek.

She gave him a small smile, "A little. But I'm fine now." She answered, trying not to flinch from his touch.

"Thats good to hear. Would you like to go to dinner tonight?"

"That would be nice, I haven't been out of the house lately." She said.

Kon nodded and they started to eat their breakfast talking about random things. It wasn't a tense breakfast but it wasn't the easiest one to sit through either. It was awkward. After he was done eating he stood up and kissed Niddie's cheek.

"I'll see you tonight." He said and grabbed his jacket from Emi.

"Bye have a good day at work." Niddie said to him. Kon grinned and left the dining room with Mike following behind him, not even taking a look back at Niddie.

As Emi went about her daily chores, Niddie sat in the living room watching tv. She'd giggle every now and then, but it didn't seem natural. At lunch, Niddie had it in the living room so that she could still watch tv. She asked that the other housemaids sit with her and watch a drama during their lunch break.

Everyone happily sat in the living room. Emi sat next to Niddie, taking glances at her every now and then. During the drama, the male lead of the show broke up with the female lead, saying that because of their life circumstances, they weren't meant to be with each other. He broke up with her on the spot, and the actor said, "Things got too far, there was a reason you're not with me."

The other housemaids were crying. Emi quickly turned to Niddie, getting ready to hug her...but what she saw instead scared her. Niddie was staring blankly at the screen, no emotion on her face. The scene did not affect her at all, did she love Mike or not?

After lunch was over with, Niddie was still sitting on the couch. Actually she had moved to laying on the couch now. Emi would come by every now and then to check up on her. On her fifth trip by the couch the doorbell rang. Niddie slowly rose up from the couch like a zombie, turning towards the front door, creeping Emi out. Emi shuddered as she went to answer the door.

Kon's mother stood on the other side in a cute little jogging outfit. "Good afternoon Mrs. Niran." Emi greeted.

"Emi dear! How are you?? Still cute as a button I see!" She exclaimed. Emi just smiled. "Where is my future daughter-in-law? Is she up?"

"Yes she's in the living room just watching tv." Emi let her inside and they both walked to the living room.

"Niddie darling!"
