Revealing a Past
His Vow vs. His LoyaltyMike and Niddie made it back home in time. Kon was still an hour away. He walked her to her room and gave her a swift kiss on the cheek before he disappeared to go do his daily chores that he neglected earlier today. She went into her room and hoped that Kon didn't try to take her on a dinner date, she was happy and she didn't want him to know that. The rest of the night passed by smoothly, the next morning Kon was gone again and this time Mike had gone with them. She was free, she called Uncle Pisat and made an appointment to meet him downtown so that they could go to the family's plot. She waited for only 5 minutes when he drove up. She climbed in and they were off. When they arrived the area was beautiful. It was near lush green land and huge cherry blossom trees shaded the areas.
"Wow..." Niddie said as they walked up.
"Amazing isn't it? My parents didn't want a drab depressing area for a cemetary. You wanted to be at ease when you come here."
"That was a great idea...I don't feel sad...I mean I do because he isn't here, but you feel relaxed."
The memorial stones were made of black granite, the etchings of the names in Thai were beautifully crafted in silver ink that made it stand out on the dark surface. She instantly found Golf's, she walked over to it. His high school picture smiled up at her, she smiled back. "I miss you. You big dummy." She kissed the stone. There was so much that she wanted to say, but she couldn't get out. S
