Niddie's dreams were filled with nothing but nightmares. First it started with the incident that first brought her into a depression. That was one of the scariest nights of her life. She doesn't know what happened but all she knows was that she was saved. She had been walking home late one night from a study group when 3 guys had surrounded her and took her to an abandoned warehouse. There they had tried to her, she passed out when one of them slapped her so hard in the face. When the next day came, she woke up and was in the hospital. She was told that she was lucky, they didn't even get a chance to rip off her clothes when she was saved. The only thing she was told of her two saviors was that they were pretty handsome boys. Then her dreams fast fowarded to the day of her wedding, she was dancing happily in Golf's arms, feeling his soft lips on hers, and then he died in her arms. His blood all over her dress...

Niddie sat up in bed and yelled out Golf's name. Mike jumped awake when he heard Niddie scream. They stared at each other. Mike got up and sat on her bed,

"You ok? You should lie back down. You're pretty weak since you haven't been eating." Niddie just looked up at him, his hands on her shoulders. She pulled herself into him and cried into his chest. Mike was shocked, he wanted to push her away but that seemed cruel. Slowly and awkwardly he patted her back and tried to calm her down. She let go of him and looked up at him, her eyes full of tears. Mike looked down at her, his arms still around her. She looked like a scared little kid. He instinctively wiped her tears away, her plump lips looked so inviting. Mike wasn't sure who kissed who first, but all he could think about were how soft her lips were.

She pulled away and put her hands on his face, "I love you Golf," she whispered.

Mike looked back at her confused, "Golf?" He thought to himself. "That's who she thought I was?" He felt strangely disappointed. She closed her eyes and slumped against him, fainting again. Mike shook his head and laid her down. He looked over at the door and saw Emi staring at the both of them.

"Emi?" Mike said when he realized she was there. She turned around and quickly left the room. Mike got up and ran after her. "Emi wait!" he called to her but she kept walking away. Mike caught up with her and grabbed her hand. "Hey...I...I..." Mike wasn't sure what to say.

"You don't have to explain."

"But I feel like I have too. I don't like Niddie like that. I don't know what happened. I can't explain."

"I know thats why I said don't. I saw the whole thing, it just happened. We're just friends. You don't have to explain anything to me." Emi said looking Mike straight in the eyes. Mike looked at her dejected, he couldn't think of anything to say to her. She turned away from him and walked to her bedroom. Mike stood alone in the hallway for a couple more minutes, still in shock. Then he went to his own room.

The next morning Niddie woke up to sounds in her room. She opened her eyes and she felt as if she was hungover. "What's wrong with me?" Niddie slowly sat up in bed. She saw Emi cleaning up the room. "Emi?" She called out to her.

Emi turned around smiling. "Hey thank goodness you're awake...how are you feeling?"

"Like I drank a whole bottle of vodka..." Niddie said rubbing her temples. Emi looked at her with a sad smile. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Do you remember anything that happened yesterday?"

"Aside from being assulted, no. What did happen?"

"Well let's just say that Mike did his job."

"Oh...I guess I should thank him for saving me then huh?"

"Well it's his job, I don't think that is necessary."

"Well I feel like I should."

"Either way, you need to get up and eat something. One of the main reasons you feel like crap is because you aren't eating." Emi scolded her a little.

Niddie looked at Emi, "You know I don't remember the last time I had a meal..." She laughed nervously. Emi looked at her, she was getting frailer by the day. If she doesn't get back into the swing of things soon, it's no telling how much worse she's going to get in this state. Niddie got out of bed and slowly walked to the bathroom.

Once she was done getting ready she followed Emi downstairs. "Wait where's Mike? I still want to thank him for yesterday."

Emi looked back at her, "I'm not sure. I'll go get him for you."

"No it's ok. I'll go find him. I'll meet you in the dining room in a little bit." Niddie said. Emi nodded and walked to the dining room while Niddie walked outside. She found Mike standing around just watching the grounds. "Hi." Niddie said walking up to him. He gave her a sideways glance but didn't say anything. "I..uhmm..just wanted to say thank you for yesterday. You know saving me from the baddies and everything."

"Yeah, whatever. It's what I'm paid to do." He said curtly.

Niddie looked at him confused, "Ok...I--" before she could say anything else Mike interrupted her.

"Look I'm kind of busy right now, you should get back inside." He said with anger.

Niddie glared at him, "Jerk." She muttered and walked away from him. Mike turned and watched her walk away giving her the dirtiest look possible behind her back.

Niddie walked inside and plopped down on the chair in the dining room. "What's wrong Niddie?' Emi asked as she filled her cup up with juice.

"Stupid Mike. I went out there and to thank him for yesterday and what does he do? Give me and attitude. That mother...." she dropped the end of her sentence.

Emi looked at her. "She really doesn't know what happened last night." she thought to herself. She decided to tell her. "Niddie."
