I look down at Yongguk, completely baffled by his actions. I honestly didn't expect this at all!

But hey, these past few months have been completely unexpected on their own.

"Yongguk, I-"

"He-Jin, I'm desperate," he sighs, dropping his head. "I think...I've become obsessed. Now that I can actually see what's going on, the feeling of loosing you becomes evermore painful. I feel so empty without you. I lie awake at night, cursing myself for everything I've done. I know, deep down, you hate me, but because of that, I hate myself more. I've made many mistakes in my life. I almost caused a war between kingdoms, I almost endangered the royal family, I... It doesn't matter how proud and bold I act. Deep down, guilt eats away at my soul. It just keeps piling up and no matter what I do, I just seem to cause problems everywhere I go.

"When we were being experimented on, Youngjae kept complaining of how he missed HyoJae so much. I never admitted it, but I was lost, incomplete without the little twerp who took us all in. When I found out Jongup liked you, I would have backed away and hidden my feelings. But I was selfish. I didn't want to give you up..." For a moment, Yongguk's silent. I can only hear the wind, my breathing and my heartbeat. I can feel my body fighting against my mind as the latter tries to stop the former from throwing itself onto the man before me. I hesitantly rest my hand on his head.

"I'm so pathetic...." I hear him mumble. "I'm like those stupid boys in those romance movies that after cheating on their girlfriend, they beg for her to take them back."

A chuckle escapes his lips and he puts his hands on top of mine. "Gonna be honest, I also thought that," I snickered.

"I have no excuses for my behaviour. I refuse to seem cheap, especially with you."

I pull my hand out from under his and grab his arms. "Up you go," I say, using all my strength to pull him to his feet. I dust the sand of his pants and playfully punch him in the shoulder. "You're the matoki leader. Kneeling and begging doesn't suit you."

Yongguk smiles weakly. "Believe me, this wasn't my first idea..."

"What do you mean?"

"Well....I may or may not have asked *cough* begged *cough* the others to help me. I thought about pestering you until you gave up-"

"That wouldn't have worked at all." I say bluntly.

"I knew that! Hence why I went to the others!"

"Okay. Then what were the other options?"

"...Never mind them," he says, laughing nervously. "Let's go back inside. I'm hungry!"

I roll my eyes and wrap my fingers around the door knob again. "I never gave you an answer, did I?" I look over my shoulder to him. "Well, I-"

...oh, so you noticed I didn't finish my sentence. Yeah, I have a good explanation for that. Don't believe me? How about this:

Four human bodies fall right on top of me right after I get a doorknob the the stomach and the door corner to the forehead.

I rub my head first and open my eyes. I find myself pinned to the porch with Adrienne smiling cheekily at me.

"Hey there, beautiful!" She says, trying to draw attention away from the matter at hand. I spot Yongguk pulling (throwing) the guys off, with the forced help from his second in command. Adrie gets off of me and helps me up, casually dusting the dirt and sand off my clothes.

"Let's go eat some dinner, shall we?" Adrie says, preparing herself to walk through the door.

"Not so fast," I say, grabbing her by the collar.

Yongguk orders the others to go inside and closes the door behind them.

"So, the night's really beautiful," Adrienne notes, avoiding our glares. Silence envelops us.

Yongguk is the first one to talk. "You were listening, weren't you?"

"Yeah? So?"

"It's none of your business!"

"Hell yes it is! She like a sister to me!"

"Doesn't matter. There is such a thing as privacy."

"And? I'm making sure your sleazy hands aren't all over her!"

"Slea- what the hell?!"

"That's right! Sleazy! You erted bastard! I don't give a if Shawna is my twin. You don't go messing around with other people when you have a girlfriend!"

"I know, alright! I'm sorry! Is that what you want to hear? I apologize for my actions."

"Um...I'm gonna go inside now," I say quietly. Their argument continues and it's obvious nobody heard me, so I slip into the house unnoticed. I lean against the front door and listen to the rest of the argument.

"This isn't a romantic fanfiction, you ! It's real life. Getting on your effing knees and begging for forgiveness doesn't change everything! He-Jin isn't stupid either. She doesn't just forget about weeks of abandonment because you come crawling back. I'll be happy if she moves on and finds someone else!"

"Take that back!!"

"Grow a pair! You should consider yourself lucky that she hasn't flown back to Korea already because believe me, it was so obvious that that crossed her mind every time she saw your sorry ."

"I've been trying my best to make amends-"

"That lame excuse won't get you anywhere. You can't suddenly realize that you did wrong. Your little underlings can give me as many conspiracy theories as they want, but I don't care, because I've had enough with lowlifes like you."

"But I-"

"Enough!" I shout, interrupting the two. I open the door and look between the two. "Will both of you just shut up and let me think?! Honestly..." I rub my face and sigh. "Adrie, I love you as a sister as well, but if I let you fight all my battles, I'll be weak. I do appreciate you standing up for me, though. Let me handle it from here, okay?" Adrienne nods her head and walks past me into the house. "Yongguk...I'm actually really hungry and I have to tell all of you something important." I turn and walk back inside.

Everyone else has gathered around the table but Shawna and me. I rub my temples in frustration as a headache starts to form and gradually increase it's pain in a matter of seconds.

"As I said...ow... I really need to talk to all of you, but I also need Shawna present." I shoo them away with my hand and walk into the dark hallway leading to the rooms. I clutch my head in my right hand and walk until I see the room I am searching for. I take a deep breath and knock three times.

There is a moment of silence before the door creaks open.

The collar of my shirt is grabbed and my mouth is covered by a cloth. I desperately thrash around, trying to escape the clutches of the person in the dark cloak. My vision moves in and out of hazyness, but just before I go under, I notice Shawna sitting in her bed.

As lifeless as a doll.

That escalated quickly.

I know this was a short chapter, but I have something important to say (and I was kinda nervous writing this chapter).

Important news: Our little psychotic panda will no longer be on this account, or helping out in writing this story. She left it a little too suddenly, so I decided to take over. Please go easy on me, I'm not very experienced in writing.

I'm not trying to gain attention here, but if you ask me the reason for this passing of story, I will ignore you. So from no on, you'll be hearing me.

Anyway.... I've kinda decided that Yongguk needs to do more than beg and plead. I'm sorry guys, but just that isn't good enough. Hopefully, the next few chapters don't .
