You were changing your clothes, putting your hair in a bun and putting on your jacket.
“Where are you going?” Your mother asked seeing you getting ready.
“Meeting a friend” You told.
“Oh” You heard the disappointment in her voice. You knew what she was thinking. She was really hoping that you were meeting Kris, but you knew better than that. Kris wasn`t going to return now, he was serious that day.
Leaving the house you stood by the driveway and noticed a car. Walking over you slid right in when you noticed Chohee bending over opening up the door for you. As you got inside the two of you greeted but none of you exchanged any words after that.
“So, how are you doing?” Chohee asked looking at you than back at the road.
“Alright, what about you?” You tried to sound as positive as possible, even if you weren`t feeling that well.
“Fine too” She nodded and then the awkward silence placed the car again.
Not managing to hold back anymore Chohee pulled her car over at a random street and rolled down the window trying to inhale fresh air.
“You okay?” You looked at her and she nodded. “But I know you aren`t” She replied turning her head towards you. You were taken aback by her words. “Stop fooling around. How are you? I heard about the divorce” She spilled it all out, making you look at your feet. “I am sorry, sweety. I wish I could do something” She sighed. Tears were already streaming down your cheeks and she unbuckled herself reaching out to you
