Chapter 13:

Day 14- UNDECIDED(Monday)

There was three dry knocks on the wooden door of the main office. There were two bookcases behind the desk that had a golden colored plate with a name on it resting over it. There was a skinny plant with giant leaves by its side. There were two family pictures picture frames on the desk. The director, sitting behind that desk, was running through files when it was heard.

“Come in.” He said loudly.

The person, a woman, entered inside and closed the door behind her. She turned around and bowed to the middle-aged man. He smiled and motioned her to sit on one of the black chairs. She sat and arranged her bangs to the side. The man closed a binder and crossed his arms.

“What brings you here today?”

“This…” She opens her jacket to take out a letter she slides onto the desk.

He sees the word on the letter and doesn’t open it. “Ah, this is quite unfortunate for us, why did you suddenly decide this?”

What if you won’t really die? She shakes her head to make the voice disappear. I believe in her!, she thinks. “I… will be moving out, so I won’t be near here anymore.”

“I see, you were a great add to the team. You had great leadership over the employees. I hope you come back here if you ever move back.” He smiles as he hides the letter in a drawer.

She gets up and bows again. “Thank you, sir.”

“It has been a pleasure, Mrs. Lee.”  He extends his hand.

She shakes it firmly and gets out of the office. She walks between the working employees and goes into the back, where her own small desk is. She takes out two carton boxes and start filling them up with paper and documents. She takes whatever is on her desk and in her drawers into them. One of the passing workers, with the annoying loud gum munching and the clacking heels with the never ending y attitude, was delivering some papers when she noticed her packing up. Jooyeon caught a glance of her and gave her a scary look before the worker snapped her shoulder at her and walked away quickly.
