There was a girl named Lee Jieun, 19, who lived with her father in the quietest part of Seoul. Her neighbourhood is so safe that she can just wander around without her worrying about getting kidnapped. All her life she lived without a mother’s love. Everyone in the neighbourhood knew that she lives only with her father but no one knew where or what happened to her mother, except for her father, Lee Jinyoung.

Lee Jinyoung is a book collector. It is only normal that Jieun loves books just like her father. They lived in the biggest house in the neighbourhood and have a huge library. Everyone in the neighbourhood often visit their house just to read books in their library. Even though the library was filled with numerous amounts of books, there is still one book missing from the collection. A very important book which have changed the lives of not only the Lee family but the Byun family too. That book is called Black Heart.  And other thing, Lee Jinyoung is not just an ordinary book collector.

On the other end of Seoul lived a father and son who own a bookstore. Byun Baekho is the owner of Byun Bookstore. However, he mysteriously went missing a few months back, leaving his only son, Byun Baekhyun, 20, to tend the bookstore on his own. Baekhyun never knew the reason how his father went missing. The last thing his father left him was two letters, one for him and the other for a girl named Jieun. Jieun will turn up at the bookstore when the time comes. When will it happen?

Somewhere in Seoul, a lonely guy is waiting for his fiancé who apparently has no clue of his existence. The only thing he can recognise her by is through a necklace which his parents showed to him once. Being smart, he registered that picture in his head and he can never forget about it. Not even for a second.

He attended a very special school and made friends with 12 other guys who seem to understand him better than anyone else can. Every day he waits and waits, hoping that he could one day meet his fiancé whom he never thought would change his live, forever.
