A couple of weeks passed after the night when Sooyoung tried to encourage Tiffany to find Taeyeon who left for Paris. Things were not as easy as that, in fact. Tiffany had to take care of her father who was recently staying at home due to his health condition getting worse. As the youngest child, Tiffany dedicated her time to him and tried to avoid that feeling, a feeling that really wants to bring her to fly to Paris right away.
 

"Appa, please get well soon. I'm so sad to see you like this." Tiffany poured the herbal tea to his cup and looked at him in sorrow. Michael Hwang looked at her and smiled, then hold her hand tightly. "Now bed rest for your own sake, old man." She joked aside, made both of them laugh.
"Fany-ah... Are you happy?"
"Of course, appa. You don't think I feel bothered about taking care of my own father, do you?" Tiffany smiled.
"How's Taeyeon?" Tiffany chuckled. It was the very first time after that night. She still remembered how it felt for her somehow. She's too young to judge, but it was hurt as hell, it hurt the most. "How could you fall in love with... a girl?"
"Appa, we don't fall in love because it's a guy or a girl. We fall in love because it's a human being." She pressed the blanket to cover her father fully. "You have to sleep now. It's late already."
"I feel so guilty now. Leo was a happy kid back then." The old man looked to the other side of the window. "Until I forced him and hurt him."
"What do you mean, appa?"
"His marriage with Seohyun is a business-related. We had to make it so we can secure the deal." He replied. "He is a good son to me. But the way I love and remember your mother, I won't be able to see it in this grown-up man's eyes, your brother. I made a big mistake." Tiffany was shocked in silence. She didn't know, after all of this time, that his brother married the woman but never in love with her.
"Miyoungie..." Michael Hwang laughed a little. He knows Tiffany really hates her Korean name. "I hope you really want to apologies this old man that caused you pain past months. I'm sorry that I didn't brave enough to tell you this. As a father, I just want you to be happy. As I promised to your mom." He wiped his tears away, remembering his deceased wife.
"Appa..." Tears fall down to her cheeks.
"I hope you and Taeyeon will be fine after this." He said. "Where is she now? Did you meet her behind my back? Now you don't have to, little pumpkin." He her hairs softly then Tiffany hugged him tightly.
"She left to Paris. We never had any contact again after all."
