Chapter 8

“Chagi?” I called outside the door of her room. It’s already past 12nn and she’s still not yet up. “Chagi-yah…” I called again. Still, there’s no response from her. She’s still sleeping.

I just went to the kitchen and checked the fridge for something for lunch. All I got were some left over kimchi, roasted chicken, and pizza dough. Home-made pizza?

I prepared some of the other ingredients and from time to time, I check on her door to see if she’s already up or not.

As I popped the pizza in the oven, I went back to her door. It’s already 1pm.

“Chagi-yah.” I called and knocked again. No response. I turned the knob and I was surprised that it’s not locked. “HyunAe-sshi…” I called as I went in. She’s still sleeping soundly at the center of the bed.

Before entering her room, I was sure that I’ll wake her up, but now that I’m watching her sleep, I’m not so sure anymore. But… I have to... time for lunch.

“Chagi-yah…” I called again as I gently tap her. I did that for a couple more times before she finally moved and looked at me. “Finally,” I told her and smiled. “Let’s go, I ‘cooked’ lunch.”

“Go… I’ll just follow…” she said and went back laid back.

“Chagi-yah~” I called in my usual pleading voice.

“I’m up… I’m already up…” she said and pulled herself back up.

“C’mon… we have a lot of things to do later.” I told her and pulled her up.

I was pulling her dozy self over to the dining area and placed her at the nearest chair.

I picked up the pizza from the over and cut it into pieces.

“Charan~!!!” I said as I placed the pizza at the table. “Donghae special leftovers pizza.”

After eating, I told her the plans that I have for today.

“Today?” she asked.

“Yeah, after you finished eating, we’ll go.”

We ended up checking out the nearest mall around the area.

I tried my best to hide myself from the fans but then, the cameras are enough to attract attention from them. Thankfully, they are cooperative and allowed us to do our own thing. Well, some.

“How about that store?” I asked HyunAe, pointing at a store that we passed by.

“Nah. Too expensive.” She said and walked away.

I kept pointing at stores and she still ended up walking away.

“How about this store?” I pointed at the small kiosk at the middle of the mall.

She eyed the kiosk and smiled. “Ok.”

I leaned over at the glass shelf and checked the designs that they have. They have the elegant styles that were usually seen at the high-end stores but there are also simple yet pretty designs.

“Can I see that one?” i heard her ask the attendant that was eyeing me the whole time.

I attendant pulled out the one that HyunAe asked for and handed it over to us.

“What do you think?” she asked and placed it on her finger.

“You like that?” I asked. The ring matches her finger perfectly.

Yes. Finally, we are looking for our wedding ring.

“Yeah. But… what do you think?” she answered and asked again.

It was a silver ring with a few studs on the outer part, covering about ¼ to ½ of it.

“We’ll take it.” I told the attendant, added our ring sized and paid for it. It was a good thing that the attendant is a fan and she deducted half from the original price of the rings. Of course I paid for both.

She was ready to leave when I stopped her and pulled her back.

“Wae?” she asked.

I just grabbed her left hand.

“Chagi-yah… don’t take this off okay?” I told her and placed the ring that we bought on her left ring finger.
