Chapter 37

It was just a brief but solemn kiss.

“HyunAe…” I called as my lips left hers and as I stared straight to her dark orbs. “I’m sorry…” I blurted out.

GAH! What am I saying?? AISH! !@#!@$! That was not what I intended to say! Aish. Stupid fish! It’ll ruin everything!

“HyunAe, that’s not what I mean.” I added. “I’m not sorry for kissing you since I’ve been wanting to do that for a quite a long time now.” I was getting frustrated now since I want to correct what I said. “What I am sorry for was… was that we had to meet each other this way. That I have to pretend at first. And that you may doubt what I am feeling inside.”

“Donghae…”

I pulled up her hand and placed it above my heart.

“Can you feel my heartbeat?” I seriously asked. But then she burst out laughing. “What? Hey. I’m serious here.”

“Got that from 2pm?” she asked.

“No.” I answered before holding her hand tightly under mine. “Seriously HyunAe… I don’t know when was the last time I felt this very same feeling.”

“Maybe when you dated Jessica.” She whispered.

“Maybe. If I really dated her.” I answered. This is what I like the most about HyunAe. She’s jealous of things and yet, she won’t admit the obvious. “I love you.” I finally told her and gave her another peck on the lips and smiled.

“Don’t say that.”

“I will always say those words to you. Whether the camera is up or not.” I added and pushed her to the door. “Let’s get ourselves cleaned up. Time to have our wedding pictures taken Chagi…”

“Can I go out now?” I asked the helper/stylist that was assigned to me on the studio.

She fixed my necktie first before letting me out.

As I step out of the room, HyunAe came out of her too. She was wearing a simple strapless white dress with a light blue ribbon tied at the just below her . Her hair was the usual with a small curl at the end. A simple veil ran down at the back and she was holding a couple of different colored carnations and blue roses which was held together by a white canvass-like cloth and a matching light blue lacey ribbon. She was wearing a simple make up. More of like her natural look.

Was I being too detailed? Hahahaha. I saw just too enthralled by her looks. If only we were really married…

“Maybe I should take you to the church across the street after the shoot is done.” I joked as I got close to her. She elbowed me as an answer.

She surveyed my outfit and reached out for my necktie. “I’ll loosen it up a bit. It’ll look better.” She said and fixed it.

The shoot started off in a few minutes.

The first shots were the individual shots wherein I got to watch as HyunAe became uneasy doing the shots that the photographer wanted.

“Chagi-ah… just think of me and smile!” I told her and she smiled. After about 10 minutes, I was asked to join HyunAe on the set.

“Do what you want.” He said

 Do what I want? Can I just take HyunAe to the church since I’ve been wanting to do that for the past… 20 minutes now.

It took me about a full minute before something came into my mind.

I took HyunAe’s hand and ran to the other end of the studio to make it look that we were running together. I heard clicks from the camera ever since I took HyunAe’s hand.

The next idea that came into my mind was to kneel down in front of her and act as if I was putting the ring on her finger.

The photographer helped us on that one.

It was like reminiscing the day that we bought our wedding ring. How time flies…

“For the next shot, why won’t you sit down on the bench.” He said pertaining to HyunAe and the wooden bench near the park backdrop.

HyunAe obeyed on what the photographer asked her to do.

“And you,” he then, pointed at me. “Lie down on the bench and place your head on her lap. Facing her.”

I did what I was asked to do.

“I love it!” the photographer exclaimed as I heard the click sound again. “Can the groom pretend to sleep at this shot?”

So I closed my eyes.

“More!”

More what?

“Okay done.”

I opened my eyes and pulled myself up. I also help HyunAe up.

“That was fun…” I told her thinking that it was done.

Well, it wasn’t, the photographer ran out of memory on his camera and had to change it first.

“For the next shot, why don’t you kiss her?” the photographer suggested as we were both trying to come up of a new pose. “That’ll be fun. I mean, there are couples in the show that had their wedding pictures taken and none had theirs while kissing each other.”

Got nothing else in mind to do for a different pose, HYunAe and I got into position and I wrapped my arms around her body.

Just like what happened earlier.

“Just a peck on the lips okay? Don’t feel nervous.” The photographer added.

With our foreheads touching each other, I gave her a kiss and after that, we both smiled starring at each other.

I felt HyunAe touch the corner of my lips with her hands, and that got me distracted from looking at her.

“The lipstick…” she said and continued wiping some.

I tried to help her remove the stain on my lips but I smudged it.

We both laughed at the sight of my lips and my now red thumb.

*CLICK*

I thought it was over after hearing the first click on our kiss. But it wasn’t.

I should get myself a personal copy of this photoshoot.
