Chapter 23

“HYUNAE-Sshi!” every one greeted her when we got to the recording site.  The members didn’t even bother greeting me. I’m the member not her right?

“Donghae, get yourself fixed by one of the stylist.” Leeteuk hyung said as he approached us.

I leaned down to HyunAe’s ear and whispered: “I’ll be back ok? Stay away from Heechul hyung, Kyuhyun and Yesung hyung.”

It took me about 20-25 minutes to get ready for recording. The stylist changed my usual clothes to more stylish looking ones that we usually wear for variety shows.

When I walked to the waiting area, I saw HyunAe. She’s sitting there alone since the members are testing out the lapel mics.

HyunAe really listened to me eh?

I was about to come to her when I saw someone approaching her. She smiled to the intruder and got the drink that he handed over. Yes. The intruder is a guy. 

I told her to stay away from the three members, which she did, but she’s now with another guy! C’mon HyunAe!

still not contented with that, the guy leaned down to whisper something to HyunAe!

HEY! THAT’S MY WIFE!

I really can’t stand it anymore.

“Ehem.” I made a noise once I made a way to stand behind them. They still didn’t notice me. “EHEM.” I repeated. This time they finally faced me.

I’m older than the guy by about 4 months. And he’s another idol star.

When he saw me, he immediately stood up and bowed down. I didn’t say anything, I just pulled HyunAe up and went to the area where the other members are.

I can see from my peripheral vision that HyunAe even looked back to him. AISH.

I know I was being rude by doing that, but…

“Why didn’t you take my wife with you?” I asked no one in particular as I pulled Heechul hyung and Ryeowook to the side, far from HyunAe who was looking at me so intently.

“Why? What’s the matter? She’s not alone back there right?” Heechul hyung asked. “You told her to stay away from me right?”

“Hyung she’s just socializing with the other guests.” Ryeowook defended.

“Well! You… You left her with Kyujong!” I hissed.

“What’s wrong by being with Kyujong?” they both asked.

“Nothing, really…” I answered and went back to HyunAe.

What’s wrong??? Do they really have to ask me what’s wrong with leaving my wife with some other guy???

As I sat down beside her, she was drinking the iced tea that Kyujong gave her earlier.

I snatched the drink from her.

“Yah!” she yelled.

“I’ll get you another one.” I told her and went to the other table where snacks are placed. I got her the same flavor and brand of iced tea. I drank the one Kyujong gave her.

HyunAe was looking at me as if I’m a retard while I was drinking ‘Kyujong’s iced tea’.

“Waeyo?” I asked her as I placed my elbows on my knees and I looked at her.

“Why did you have to get mine when you’re going to get the same one from the table?” she asked.

“This one got germs on the cup.” I told her and stood up again to get my bag which isn’t far from her.

I took out my bottle of hand sanitizer and took the iced tea from her once again. I just placed it at the table beside us. I held both of her hands and poured a good amount of hand sanitizer on her palms.

“Since you held that cup for a while, some were transferred to you.” I told her as I poured some to mine too and gave her, her iced tea back.
