Chapter 38

The whole shoot was done in more or less 1 hour. The photographer was kind enough to show us the shots before we can even change to our normal clothes.

“Can we use this clothes for a bit?” I whispered to the photographer as something came to my mind.

“Just be sure that the clothes will be back in a good condition.” He said and continued fixing his equipments.

HyunAe is now seating in front of the computer, scanning the pictures that were taken. I stood behind her and scanned the pictures too.

“Done?” I asked her as I leaned down to her right and whispered to her ear.

Startled by my move, HyunAe turned and her nose met my lips.

I didn’t even wait for her response and just grabbed her hand and pulled her out of her seat.

“W-wait.”

I just looked at her with questioning eyes.

“The clothes. We have to change in our clothes.” She said and was about to walk back to the changing rooms.

“They gave us the permission to use it for a while. We just have to make sure that we’ll return them in good condition.” I told her pulled her again.

“Where are we going?” she asked when I drove off.

I just smiled at her and continued driving.

“Yah. Lee Donghae. Where are going?” she asked again.

“Just wait and see.” I told her.

“Yah.”

“To one of my favorite places here… To where I usually relax.” I told her and continued driving.

“You won’t even ask if I want to go there with you?” she replied.

And that hit me hard.

I put the car in a halt.

“Yah. Would you mind putting the car off the road?!”

I did that. I placed the car on the dirt part of the road. We were actually 5 minutes away from the place that I was telling her.

“I’m sorry. I was just excited to take you to that place. I just want to share that place with you.” I told her without looking at her. i was trying to get myself preoccupied by the cars and the orange sky and sea on the other side of the road. “I was just too scared of hearing words of rejection from you at this point wherein I’m certain of my feelings. Sorry HyunAe. Sorry that I disregard whatever your thought about this is. Sorry that I didn’t even ask you if it was okay to kiss you. If it was okay to show you that I’m fallen for you. I’m sorry.”

That was true. Everything that I’ve said was true. From all the other people, I’m scared of the rejection that would come from HyunAe. I’m scared that maybe she’s not feeling the same for me.

There was a long silence before I felt HyunAe’s hand over mine since my hand was still of the stirring rod.

“I know we’ve known each other for more than 2 months now and it’s still early to say this, but… I love you.”

There! I said it!

“Donghae.”

“I know, you might say that maybe I was feeling this way just because we were always together and the show and other stuff. But no. I’ve been thinking about it for the past weeks and I was certain about my feelings for you HyunAe. I’m not rushing things between us. If given the chance that you love me too… even after the show, I would love to be with you just like the past months. If you don’t… then there’s nothing that I can do. I cannot force you into something that you don’t want right?”

I felt both HyunAe’s hands on my hand this time. It tightened its grip on mine. Then I heard her say something in a small voice. Almost not hearable.

“This is something new to me. Honestly, you’re not my type. You’re way far from my type. One of which is your height.”

“I’m 5’9.” I answered abruptly, trying to defend myself.

“But...” she started again, totally disregarding what I told her. “You’re the only person who made me feel this way in just a short period of time.”

This time, I looked at her, but she wasn’t looking at me. She was the one staring at the cliff on the other side of the rail.

“I think… I love you too…”
