Chapter 15

“Chagi-ah…” I called on to her after a couple of minutes of silence. She didn’t respond. “HyunAe-sshi?” I called again, and still, she’s not responding. I turned my head towards her direction and saw her with her eyes closed.

I know staring is not a good thing but I can’t but look at HyunAe’s face. She has this certain thing, that I don’t know what, that draws me to her.

I trailed my eyes to every part of her face… and I stopped by her lips.

AISH.

“Chagi…” I called her for the 3^rd time to distract myself and to ask her if she’s feeling cold. She still didn’t respond to my call. Is she sleeping?

After making sure that she’s just sleeping and nothing bad happened to her, I pulled her closer and anchored her head on my shoulder.

She’s dead tired. The housewarming is the most energy draining thing ever. I’m tired too but just by looking at her having fun a while ago and now smiling in her sleep, all of it disappeared.

Good thing that the cameramen are gone for the day and left us on our own now.

“Kim HyunAe-sshi… what if you didn’t come? What if you’re not the girl the show picked? What if my manager refused the deal? Is there a chance for me to meet you?”

Right now, I’m certain about one thing, I’m thankful that HyunAe is my ‘wife’ and that we’re together. This show is a role playing show wherein after a few months, and, if ever, high ratings, everything would suddenly crush back down to what is what before it started,

We stayed like that for the next 10 minutes until I felt her shiver from the cold breeze.

“Chagi-ah.” I tried to wake her up. That didn’t work so I shake her up a bit. Still, it’s not working on her.

Since her head is on my shoulder and she’s basically facing me, I did something that would definitely make the E.L.F.s go ballistic.

I kissed HyunAe’s forehead. And just like sleeping Beauty, she stirred up to life.

She eyed me with confusion and scanned the place we are in. And when the reality came to her senses, she stood up.

“Let’s go?” I asked her as I got up too.

HyunAe hugged herself as a strong breeze passed by again. This time, I took my jacket off and placed it over her shoulders.

“But…” she was about to argue.

“I’m fine.” I replied to her and held her hand as we walked back to our house.

I was walking along the street with just a pair of walking shorts and a thin shirt on.

While walking back home, I remembered something that I’ve read in the internet before. Something about the kiss on the forehead… but I can’t really remember the meaning of it. AISH.

“Sorry I slept on you.” She told me as we take the fleet of stairs since the old elevator is really scary to try at this hour.

“No problem. I know you’re tired from all the things that we did today.” I told her and smiled to assured her.

We just recalled how the boys and the girls mingled with each other during the house warming party and that they definitely would work out good together.

As we reached the apartment, she quickly went over to my ‘bed’ and was about to lay it out. I rushed to her side to her since I know that she’s tired and shouldn’t be doing that for me.

HyunAe and I finished my bed in no time and I walked with her to her room. I know it sounds foolish since we are technically living in the same roof and she’s my wife, but I don’t know. I suddenly had the urge to do such.

“Good night Chagi…” I told her and she just said the same thing to me.

I watched her tucked herself to bed before turning off the lights and closing the door.

On my way back to my bed, I saw the jacket that she wore a few minutes ago, lying ‘comfortably’ in the arms of the couch.

I’m going to use that jacket tomorrow.I told myself before tucking myself in bed and closing my eyes. What a night…
