Chapter 21

As promised, we picked up HyunAe from work and had dinner together.

My shirt got stained from all the sauces and drinks that the twins splattered while we were eating, so is HyunAe. Well, I got most of it.

“Appa,” ChaeYon called. I turn around and saw her holding a kimbap in her small hand. “Eat.”

Augh… I’m really full… but I really can’t say no to this kid…

I don’t have any other choice. I have to chug down this one too.

I tried my best to eat the next two pieces of kimbap since I know she will be sad if I don’t eat it.

I was really having a hard time walking after eating too much.

On our way back home, the twins fell asleep. Too much for today eh?

“Had fun?” HyunAe asked and I just nodded. “What happened today?”

I told her everything, even the incident between Jaewoon, Heechul hyung and Jessica. She laughed hard hearing those. Who wouldn’t?

“How about Chaeyon?”

“She… she’s actually looking for you.”

“And?”

“I told her you’re at work, which is true, and that we’ll pick you up from work for dinner.”

“So that’s the reason why you picked me up?” she interrogated.

“Sort of.” I honestly answered. “I was thinking about it since it’s our first anniversary.”

I carried sleeping Jaewoon, my bag, HyunAe’s bags, and the baby bag while HyunAe got Chaeyon as we went up to our unit.

We used the elevator, and for the second time, a mailbox was waiting for us inside.

HyunAe got the letter inside since I’m currently occupied in every aspect.

My jaw nearly dropped with that announcement. Not that I don’t want the twins, it’s just that we have to deal with the schedules and everything again.

I woke up with small voices creeping up my on both of my ears. As my eyes opened, I saw my kids. My kids eh?

“Appa?” they called at the same time to verify if I’m really up or not. I just smiled for confirmation. “Appa, let’s eat.” They said as they pull me off my bed.

I know I’m not that heavy, but for their age, I already weighed a ton.

“I’m up. No need to pull me.” I told them and stood up.

Both the twins asked me to carry them up, and I wasn’t able to say no.

“Is your Umma up already?” I asked them. They just shook their heads.

“Appa. Hungry.” JaeWoon said as we walked out of the living room.

“Ok. Let’s see what we have in the fridge.” I told them and walked to the kitchen.

All I saw were ingredients for a simple omelette.

I placed both of the kids on the kitchen counter and took out what I needed.

“Don’t touch anything, araso?” I told them and them just nodded.

I prepared everything before heating up the pan. Onions, eggs, etc.

I was about to open the burner when I heard a loud ‘CLANG!’.

Knowing that the noise were from the kids’ area, I immediately turned around to check on them.

“Oops…” they said in unison as they clamp their mouth.

The spatula is on the floor. With the chopped ingredients.

 I guess I have to do everything all over again… good thing I reserved some of each ingredients for emergency purposes. Phew.
