Chapter 3
Watching Over You [repost]
Chapter 3
“So…” I said as we waited for our order. “Care to introduce yourself now?”
“As in right now?” she asked.
“Yup. Right now.” I answered with a smile.
“Kim HyunAe. 25. Uhm… Photographer?”
“HyunAe-ssi..” I murmured. Nice name. “Photographer, eh?”
“Yeah. And I also do some events organizing as a part time job.” She added as she eyed down our meal now served by the waiter.
“Seriously?” I asked as I arranged the food on our table. “What kind of events?”
“Small concerts, meetings, and the likes.” She answered as she sipped her drink.
“Wow. Maybe you can organize our concert!”
“That’s simply impossible.” She countered.
“Wae?”
“SM has its own list of events organizers right?” she asked and I nodded. “See. That’s why.”
Yeah. The company has its own set of Hyungs and Noonas that are doing those things.. “Maybe I can get you in SME.” I jokingly stated.
She nearly spat her drink to my face.
“WHAT?”
“I’m just joking.” I told her as I handed over some tissue. “But if you want to-.”
“Thanks. But no thanks.” She answered with a hesitant smile and gazed at the cars outside.
Geez. Wrong joke Donghae. I told myself as I scratch the back of my head.
What now?
I reached for her hand and touched it gently.
“Hey, Sorry…” I told her. She swiftly looked back at me and I stared at her eyes, telling her that I’m really sorry for the joke,
“It’s nothing.” She said and pulled her hand from mine. “No biggie.” She then smiled.
I smiled back.
“Let’s eat?” I asked her. She just nodded.
While eating, just like what we agreed upon earlier this evening, we talked a lot about ourselves. I learned a lot of things about her. It was like answering an autograph book that girls had back in elementary school.
“Woah.” She exclaimed while I was drinking some water to keep my throat wet.
“Why?” I asked. “Something’s wrong?”
She just showed me her watch.
12.03am!!!
“Let’s go?” I asked her as soon as I saw the time.
She just nodded and started picking up her stuff. I got her big bag and she got her cam as we exited the café.
“Where to?” I asked her since I don’t really know where to drop her off. All I know is that she’s living with her friend in an apartment near Han River.
She pointed out the way to their apartment. Good thing that the roads were clear.
We got to their building by 12.30 and the gate is already closed.
“Aish. Stupid policy,” she said.
Apparently, the building closes down at 12 and no one is allowed to enter or leave between 12am-4am.
“Is it okay for you to stay over at our place tonight?” I asked as we sat down at the sidewalk.
She just looked at me.
