Chapter 22

The whole week was full of joy and don’t forget, stress. It was relly hard being a father when you’re not prepared. But the experience made me want to have kids soon. I just want to play around with them and take them to recordings. Even concerts!

Weekend came and it was time for them to go. I cancelled one of my schedules just to be with them until their last day with us.

Lee Ajumma came around noon  and the twins knew that they have to go. Jaewoon and ChaeYon obviously didn’t want to leave. I can tell by the way they hold on to HyunAe and me.

I had to talk to both of them to tell them the situation. I know that it is hard for them since they spent the week with us. And it would be the same feeling for us.

Good thing neither of them cried. If one did, it would definitely mayhem since I would cry with them and I guess HyunAe will too.

We went down with them to the parking area to accompany them to their car.

So it is goodbye eh?

As they got in, HyunAe clutched my arm, as if trying to get some strength from me. I held her hand to assure her that I’m just at her side. As the engine and the car started moving, the kids looked out of the window with their tear-stained faces.

When the car disappeared from our sight. HyunAe and I managed to move from where we were standing and decided to go out and eat lunch somewhere.

Since I knew that we somehow needed some privacy, I took her to the floating restaurant in Han River. After eating, we walked along the shores of the river.

After a few more hours, we decided to go back home.

The whole time that we were going back to our unit was pure silence. I didn’t dare saying anything since I know that she’s still thinking about the kids.

We sat down at the couch right next to each other. Still not letting go of he hand.

“I miss them.” I told her.

“Me too.” She said as she placed her head on my shoulder. “But we knew it that even in the first place that they have to go back.”

I docked my head on her head and closed my eyes.

Does that mean that someday soon, HyunAe and I would have to part was like that too?

“Donghae-ah..”  I heard someone call and tap my arm.

I slowly opened my eyes. AISH. I fell asleep!

“Donghae-ah…  You’ll be late for your schedule.” HyunAe said.

I checked my wrist watch and saw that it was already 10am of the next day.

I immediately ran to the bathroom to have a quick bath. when I got out, trying to wear my shirt in a fast manner, I saw HyunAe at the couch.

“No work for today?” I asked her.

“Day off. “ she answered shortly.

As I fix my shoes, I looked back to her. “Want to come to our recording?”

“You sure?”

“Yeah. Sure, why not?” I told her and fixed my slippers to the shoe bag. “Go get ready.”

She went back to her room for about 5 minutes and when she came back, she got different set of clothes on.

“Not taking a bath?” I asked her since I know that she’s a neat freak.

“Done with it even before I wake you up.” She answered and grabbed her bag. “Let’s go?” she asked.

I scanned her outfit first and turned her around so she can face her room.

“Go get something longer than that pair of shorts.”
