Here Comes Goodbye.

It Started With the Rain!

It was a beautiful Sunday morning.

The winter air was crisp and the brightly shining sun made it more comfortable and cozy. Luhan stepped out of Jongin's car and stared at the hotel with no feelings showing on his face. The crowd of reporters outside at the entrance kept flashing their cameras and microphones at the arriving guests, interviewing them about how they felt about the 'Decade's wedding in the Corporate world'-something the media had termed Sehun and Naeun's wedding to be. Why? Luhan didn't know nor he was interested in knowing the reason.

"Luhan." Kyungsoo squeezed the boy's hand lightly, asking him if he was okay. Luhan replied with a gentle (which Kyungsoo thought was broken) smile.

"It's too cold and way too crowded out here. Let's get inside." Luhan said and took rushed steps towards the entrance.

Jongin and Kyungsoo glanced at each other before following their friend. The ballroom was decorated with deep red roses and black ribbons, the perfect combination of colors for a winter wedding. Long,ta ll windows covered the walls to let the guests experience the view of the city in the morning daylight. Each round table was decorated with a long black underskirt cloth, a shorter bright white table cloth, with each place mat arranged around a beautiful vase of red roses. On the path to the ceremony seating there was a huge rectangular table that held the wedding cake. The six feet tall, five-tired Swarovski Crystal Cake was adorned with God knows how many Swarovski crystals and was created to look like a chandelier. At the top-most layer was ivy that symbolized love  and marriage. Next to it was an equally large table that was decorated with gifts and blessings from the guests. For once, Luhan thought of keeping the small box he had in his possession and sneaking away but he discarded the idea.  He was not a coward. He would face the loss face to face.

It was time for the ceremony to begin and the guests were escorted by someone to their respective seats. Luhan was seated right behind Sehun's parents and he could feel the uneasiness creeping up when they smiled at him with sympathy.

"I will take you out if you are not feeling fine Lu," Kris said.

 "It's fine Kris. Don't wor-"

"I know you are just trying to put up a brave face and like you don't care about this wedding and I really am proud of it Han. But, don't be so hard on yourself. You can tell me when you want to leave and I'll be your knight in shining armor."  The Pres's statement made Luhan chuckle and muttered a 'thanks'.

A little later Minseok and Jongdae joined them at the table, lightening the tense atmosphere. Luhan wondered where Baekhyun and Chanyeol were. He was sure he has seen the taller getting ready and leaving the apartment early in the morning.

But where is he?

Staring for like five good minutes at the wooden door, he finally decided to knock. He knew he'll regret decision once he'll see the groom's face but still, he did it anyway.

After all, he made a stupid promise to the guy and it was time to fulfill it. Leaning against the door, he waited for a reply, telling him to come in but when he didn't receive any,  he panicked a little and pushed the door open in urgency.

"Why were yo-" Chanyeol stopped midway when he was met with an empty room which was actually-unexpected. From what he has seen in the movies and witnessed in Junmyeon's wedding, the groom's room was one of the noisiest rooms with friends and cousins of the groom flooding in like sheep. There was laughter due to some god-forsaken jokes and some educational lectures from the married ones about the dos and dont’s.

But the scene in front of him told a totally different story.

Stepping further, he saw Sehun standing near the window, blankly watching at probably the sky.  Under the sunlight, he looked perfect. With that expensive black Armani suit, his perfectly styled up hair and pale skin, Sehun looked like a prince. Well, he always did look like some prince, and no, not because of looks(because Chanyeol is much more handsome than him and looked much manlier than him) but mainly because of his bratty attitude. But what Chanyeol saw him today as was a normal nineteen-year-old boy who looked broken and devastated. He looked exactly like the replica of Luhan, just a little bit much calmer than his best friend.

The taller of the two was about to make a move when suddenly Sehun's voice reached his ears.

"I'm sorry. Tell him that. Tell him that I tried to stop the wedding because I still love him. Tell him to be happy, and maybe even date Kris. He deserves Luhan."

"Of course he does. At least he does not make him cry. You, on the other hand, are no good for him." Chanyeol scoffed, making Sehun chuckle.

"Yeah. I know. I am sorry for that."

Chanyeol could feel the pain in Sehun's voice and even though he hated him, he couldn't help but feel pity for him. He shuddered when he imagined himself in Sehun's shoes, all separated from Baekhyun. Marrying someone other that than Baekhyun was like suicide. He'd definitely die without his sassy boyfriend. Well, before that could happen, Baekhyun would already have his grave done  so that he could kill him with his own bare hands (or maybe kill him again if Chanyeol died due to the heartache )and then bury him six feet down and believe him when he says that Baekhyun will do it in just a blink of an eye. And then, his beloved  Baekhyun will do his victory dance with his evil laugh and will haunt Chanyeol's dead body for eternity.

Yep.

That's what Byun Baekhyun is people.

A cold shiver traveled to his spine as the scenes of a madly dancing Baekhyun with a shovel in his pretty hands erupted in his mind making him gulp down in fear.

"Sehun?"

"Yeah?"

"Please remind me never to marry someone else, ever. Even in my dreams. I don't wanna die." Sehun blinked, his eyes twitching before bursting out in anger.

"YOU ING MORON! I AM SUFFERING HERE AND HERE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT YOUR OWN ! WHAT KIND OF BEST MAN YOU ARE??!!"

Chanyeol was harshly pushed behind as Sehun made his way out, ordering the elf to follow him.

So much for fulfilling the stupid promise they made like what, two years ago?

It was time for the groom to enter and Luhan was doing everything in his might not to break down in front of everyone. He didn't want to be a burden to his friends and also, didn't want the guests to feel low of Oh's.

The background music changed and the eyes were now focused on the right from where supposedly the groom and his best man was going to enter.  The anticipation in everyone's eyes made him wanted to go blind. The world was enjoying right now. They came here to attend the wedding and give the newly wedded couple their blessings and good-lucks and maybe, also to gain some new contracts and build new business relations, unlike him who was there, witnessing his love being claimed by someone else. There was no graveyard he could mourn by, there isn't even any coffin to bury.

His heart was broken and what beats inside was merely a mass of muscle that will never ever function properly.

The door finally opened and entered the hall the groom, his ex-boyfriend, Oh Sehun with his best man-WAIT-

"IS THAT ING CHANYEOL?" Kris gasped a little too loudly, gaining the attention of the guests. Jongin muttered an 'I don't know who this idiot is', Minseok and Jongdae hid under the table (causing more embarrassment than Kris did) and poor Kyungsoo just hand palmed himself.  Luhan, on the other hand just had his mind going back to the night when Sehun had proposed to him where both Chanyeol and Sehun promised each other that they'll be each other's best man in their weddings.

"But then whose best man will I be?" Luhan pouted.

"You will be my wife's bridesmaid Lulu! You are not as manly as us, Princess!" Chanyeol teased and Sehun just chuckled.

"DONT.CALL.ME.PRINCESS." Luhan hissed.

"Oohh~ baby.. then whose Prince Handsome I am?" Sehun pouted.

"Of course mine baby!" Luhan was about to blow a kiss to his boyfriend when both Sehun and Chanyeol broke into laughter.

"YOU ADMITTED YOU ARE A PRINCESS!" Chanyeol yelled and Sehun rolled on the floor laughing.

"YOU HUGE MASSES OF-URRGHHH! TAKE THAT BACK! I'M MANLY!"

Blinking away the tears threatening to fall down, he clutched tightly onto the hem of his blazer and forced a smile on his face.

 He was manly.

 And men don't cry, right?

The groom and his best man stopped at the end of the aisle, which unfortunately was right in front of Luhan's table and the doe-eyed boy couldn't help but took a quick glance at Sehun who looked amazingly stunning.  A model straight out of a fashion magazine. Luhan hoped to see any kind of emotion on his ex's face but all he was met with was his infamous poker face. What made you think he'll be crying, stupid?

He is Oh Sehun. He doesn't care at all!

Now, the music changed again and a small boy of not more than seven years came hurried down holding a lighter. Following directly after him was the procession of the bridesmaids in a pastel pink floral dress. Eunji and Chorong were the last ones in the line of bridesmaids and when they finally finished their walk, there came another cute little girl dropping the rose petals down the aisle. Once the flower girl had safely made it down to the end of the aisle, all of the music stopped and everyone stood up. The moment everyone was waiting for, except Luhan of course, was about to happen. Some soothing melody started to play and Luhan found it harder to keep his feet on the ground.

"Do you want to leave?" Kris softly whispered in his ears and hell he wanted to answer it with a 'yes' but he didn't. He will be there, watching every moment of Sehun being taken away from him.

"I need to be here." he replied.

From around the corner, Naeun, wearing a beautiful white dress came into view with her father. She looked pretty and stunning- a perfect match for Sehun.

Their child was gonna be a heartbreaker for sure. Luhan thought.

With every step taken forward by them, he felt his heart butchered, his love being taken away bit by bit. Throughout the walk, Luhan kept on resisting the urge to stop the wedding. The tears made him lose his sight and the loud and exceptionally fast beating of his shattered heart made him feel like he was going to die.

Nobody said it was easy. Neither anybody told him it was going to be this hard.

Sehun gracefully held on Naeun's hand and weakly smiled at her father. Luhan's blurry vision tortured him by making him see the couple walking towards the pedestal and stop in front of the pastor. The pastor opened with a prayer and then he began with the ring ceremony. Chanyeol hesitantly handed the ring to Sehun who nervously took it and when he was supposed to drop it in his bride's finger, the golden ring dropped down, rolling all its way to Luhan. Everybody in the hall had their eyes as wide as Kyungsoo, who at the moment had the biggest wide-eyes ever.  It actually took a few seconds for everybody to process what has happened.

"Even the ring doesn't want to be in that 's finger." Minseok sneered.

Yeah, maybe.

Maybe it was fate's sign that told Luhan to be strong and claim what is his. Maybe Sehun wanted Luhan to fight for him. Maybe after all this , the bond they share is still there. Luhan was still in his dazed state when Mrs. Kim ordered someone to bring the ring back so that they could start. But before that someone could come, Luhan reached for the ring and walked towards the couple.

"Here. Your ring." he handed it to Sehun and smiled.

Don't do this Sehun. Tell everyone you belong to me and I to you. Even the ring knows that! Why can't you?

"T-thanks," Sehun muttered and took the ring.

Tell me to stop and I will! I love you Luhan. Only you. That ring, it knows it too, right? This only belongs to you.

Luhan nodded and walked back to his seat.

"You did well." he self-encouraged himself before turning to face the reality. The harsh reality where both of them were too coward to stand up for their love. And at that very moment when he saw Sehun reading out the vows, he came to know what love is.

Loneliness, misery and a forever with a badly broken heart.
