"Elizabeth! Lee Chaeyeon!" My manager shouted across the corridor during my dance break the next morning. He jogged across and panted really loudly. Jeez, he looked like he really need some exercise. I made a mental note to make sure that I will drag him to gym whenever our schedules allow.

"Yes, oppa? Why are you panting so hard? You should start exercising! It's good for your health, especially after all the meat and soju!" I said as he took his time to recover from the slow jog.

"Yah! Thanks to you and your roommates, I barely have the time to sleep. Let alone exercise. I don't have the luxury of time!"

"That is bad, I will make sure I create less trouble for you to handle!" I promised.

"Anyway, that's not the point. The point is, I just received the news from above that you will be debuting really soon! CONGRATULATION!" He literally shouted the news in my face.

What? Me? Debuting? Already? I stood there staring at him with my mouth opened in shock for a good 10 seconds. That can't be right, I must have heard it wrongly.

"Huh? I am DEBUTING? But I have only been trainee for a month! Are you sure?!" I questioned when I have finally managed to overcome the shock.

"Yes, the company decided that you should debut this year with a new rookie group! They made that decision after watching your monthly evaluation yesterday! They think that you are ready for it!"

"Really? Omg! I have to tell my parents!" I nearly screamed out loud in joy.

"Yes! Everything is in preparation now. You will join the new girl group line up and you will be replacing Yejin."

"Wait, she's been cut again?"

"Unfortunate, but yes. And she has also terminated her contract with SM."

"WHAT? Why? I thought she was doing well?"

"I am not sure of the details. But I suggest it is best you stay out of the gossip as well since you are replacing her position as the group main vocal and visual."

"Hahaha!" I laughed out loud. "Me? Visual? Are they going to put me under the knife?"

"Knife? What knife?" He asked, confused.

I drew a circle around my face and said, "I mean, plastic surgery?"

"Certainly not! You look good enough. Have some confident! That's why Sehun liked you. You are beautiful as you are."

"I am sure he liked me for me and more than my looks," I muttered.

"You should share this good news with your family! But remember to keep it confidential and share it only with your family. We don't want your debut to be leaked before you are officially introduced to the public. Meanwhile, remember to keep a low profile and keep out from the media's attention. Especially regarding your relationship with Sehun."

"I will keep them in mind. But am I still allowed to see him?" I pleaded.

"Usually SM does not encourage dating during debut period because we need your full focus and priority. But many idols have gone underground in their relationships and it made the media control harder since the company doesn't even know if the rumours are true or not. So the company has decided to not break up any more relationships. You need to get your priorities right though. Otherwise, you may get cut even before debuting."
