I Hate That I Still Love YouPAST
Ji Yeon still remembers clearly how her four year old self met Sehun who was a year elder than her.
Little Ji Yeon was an adorable but tomboyish girl during her elementary school days. Compared to her female peers who plays tea parties and barbie dolls, she prefers playing with legos building unidentified robots or racing cars. But most of all the little bundle of energy likes playing outdoors.
However, the boys wouldn’t allow her to join them outdoors simply because she was a girl while the other girls weren’t too fond of playing with her either. It didn’t really dampened her spirits but rather kept on trying her very best to be accepted by them. No matter how many times she was rejected, she kept on a bright smile.
It was a Wednesday morning when the boys refused her again in their game of football. Nevertheless, she played on the swings enjoying the breeze but at the same time watch in envy at the side-lines as they kick the ball around the mini field.
A thin and frail looking boy was walking towards the group and the next thing he knew, he was being pushed around by them and fell on the grass.
“You’re dumb!” “Look, he doesn’t even know how to speak properly at his age.” “He is really stupid.” “Go away! We don’t want to play with you.” They took turns jeering at him.
Ji Yeon who saw the scene was angry. Being the courageous girl she was for her age and size, she went over and stood up against the bigger boys. “Yah! Stop bullying him or I’ll tell seonsaengnim!” She threatened.
Of course they turn to her and started pushing her instead making her fall and scrape her elbow. It was bleeding alright and she started wailing loudly scaring the guilty ones away. Almost immediately she stopped crying proud that her plan worked and turned to the bullied boy.
