I could tell how Taeyeon was beating herself so hard about that incident earlier. I don’t know what else I could do or say so she would stop doing that to herself.

I do want to get out of this island as much as she does but I don’t really think too much about it anymore. I do want to go home but as long as I have Taeyeon next to me, I don’t think it would matter where I am. As long as I know that she’s by my side, then I think I will be fine.

Yes. We will be fine.

“Taetae, stop beating yourself please.” I told her as soon as I sat next to her. She was drawing lines on the sand with a twig. “If we saw one today, I’m pretty sure we’re going to see another one again. We might not even know it, but what if they did see what you did earlier?”

“How could you know that?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. But, what I know is I don’t like it whenever you’re beating yourself like this. It’s not even your fault, Taetae. You’ve done so much already and if it weren’t for you I don’t think I’ll be even alive up to this day.”

Taeyeon just shook her head. I really wonder how I’ll be able to make her see her worth and everything that she’s done. I guess I will just have to keep trying until that day comes and when it does, I’d still keep reminding her.

I took her hand that was still busy playing with the twig and held it tightly before turning her head towards me by her chin. “We’ll be fine. I am fine. We’ve been doing well since day one so please just let it go. I just need for you to be okay so I will be okay too.”

She was looking at me like a lost puppy and I couldn’t help but smile. She’s just too cute for me to handle at times.

“I’m fine as long as I have you,” I told her again.

She was still just looking at me with those gentle eyes and I couldn’t help but be drawn deeply by it. Then, she leaned and I was wrapped in her arms. I’ve never felt so safe and secured in my life.

I can feel her slowly relaxing in my arms. She moved a bit, adjusting her position so she could just snuggle closer to me and I just held her tighter. I had goosebumps all over my body when her lips brushed against my slightly exposed collarbone.

“Why don’t we go back to our shack?” I asked her, hoping that I was able to hide the shakiness of my voice all thanks to what she’s currently been doing to me.

I stood up bringing her with me and I almost lost balance when she suddenly jumped on me and wrapped her legs around me.

“Oh gosh. Can you please at least warn me before jumping on like that so we both won’t fall down?”

Taeyeon started giggling. Well, at least her mood has improved already. I shook my head as she nuzzled my neck.

“Are you okay?”

She hummed against my neck sending shivers down my body. Okay. This won’t do. My footsteps became more rushed and next thing I knew she was already on top of me as soon as we got inside the shack and my back hits our made up bed.

I thought she has something else in mind but I guess not. She just snuggled up on me and nuzzled my neck as she wrapped her arms around me. I scolded myself for letting my mind be in the gutter.

I was going to shift us so we can be on our sides and see each other eye to eye but she wouldn’t budge at all.

“Can we just stay like this for a while? Please?” She pleaded and how could I ever say no to her?

“Of course, Taetae.”

“I like it whenever you call me Taetae.” She mumbled as I felt her taking a deep breath.

One of my hands went up to her arm and the other to her hair. My fingers were running through her hair as I write invisible lines through her arm. I felt her shivered under my touch and I know I’m smiling like a fool for feeling so damn good for knowing I have that same effect on her.

“I love it when I call you Taetae. My Taetae.”

With her lips pressed against my skin, I felt her smiling. Soon enough, her whole body relaxes on top of me and her breathing was slow and steady. She fell asleep with her arms still around me tightly as if trying to make sure that I won’t go anywhere. I don’t mind at all because I don’t want to be anywhere without her too.
