"Oh my gosh you're so adorable~~!!" Mei Hwa cooed, dashing up to the one of the new trainees and playfully squishing his cheeks.

"Noona, stop! You're embarrassing him!" Jongin laughed.

"At least ask what his name is before you assault him!" Kris scolded with a laugh of his own.

Mei Hwa gave the boy a sheepish smile and stepped back as he gave her a pout and massaged his cheeks.

"My name's Do Kyungsoo," he mumbled, giving the group a bow.

"Sorry about Mei Hwa, she gets excited a little too easily," Suho apologized, giving Kyungsoo an apologetic smile.

The second boy's face gained a slight colour when they turned towards him in expectation.

"Huang Zitao," he squeaked, quickly entering a bow.

When he stood straight again, he jumped slightly to see Mei Hwa had stepped forward and was giving him a scrutinizing look.

"Ya! Mei Hwa stop bothering-"

"You're Chinese, aren't you," she guessed, a smile breaking out onto her face.

Zitao's eyes widened and slowly nodded, Mei Hwa's smile growing.

"I knew it! You emanate awkward just like Kris and Yixing did when they first got here," she cooed. "Don't worry, we're all family here, so you don't have to be so skittish."

Zitao slowly smiled and gave her a nod as the others walked over, Yixing and Kris greeting Zitao while the others greeted the much shorter Kyungsoo.

"Is it alright if we call you Tao?" Chanyeol asked, Mei Hwa quickly translating.

Zitao gave a good-natured shrug making Chanyeol give his usual toothy grin.

"Well, practise is over for the day, so how about we show you guys to the dorm?" Suho offered.

"Yeah, you'll probably be in the one across the hall," Jongin smiled, throwing an arm across Kyungsoo's shoulders.

"Sunbae-Noona's coming too!" Mei Hwa cheered, quickly dashing forward and latching onto Suho's arm.

"You leech! No wonder he's so thin!" Kris scolded.

"Oi! What's your excuse then? I wouldn't touch you with a 39 and a half foot pole!" Mei Hwa barked back.

"Is it alright for them to be yelling at each other like that?" Kyungsoo squeaked, looking up at Jongin.

"Trust me, this is a tame argument," the boy snickered back.

Kyungsoo's eyes widened and looked back up to the two to see Mei Hwa had released Suho and was now chasing Kris down the hall.

"Oi, Kevin! C'mon we're going to go play!" Mei Hwa huffed, barging into his room and tugging on his wrist with both of her hands.

"Who says I want to play with you?" Kris huffed, not looking away from his laptop.

"You should be honoured! I am allowing you to play with such greatness that I, Lo Mei Hwa! Now come on I'm bored!" she claimed, managing to tug him off of his bed and out of the room.

"Why is it that every time you get bored you drag us down with you," Kris sighed, allowing the girl to pull him down the hall.

"Because you guys would just stay cooped up in the dorm otherwise; you need the fresh air!" Mei Hwa cheered.

She stopped when she got to the living room and released Kris's arm so that she could raise both hands in the air with a grin.

"Everyone put on their winter coats! We're going to go play in the snow~!" she sang.

She got a round of groans and complaints making her huff and plant her fists on her hips.

"Oh come on! An hour or so of play time won't kill you!" she scolded.

"Noona it's freezing out there!" Jongin whined.

"It's only -5…"

"THAT'S COLD!" they all chorused.

"You guys are a bunch of wussies…" Mei Hwa huffed, folding her arms over her chest.

"Go play in the snow by yourself!" Chanyeol huffed, mimicking her stance.

"Fine! I will!" she huffed back, stomping her way into the foyer.

"Is she really going to just go play in the snow??" Kyungsoo asked, slightly baffled by the older girl's actions.

The front door closed making the group of boys roll their eyes and shuffle over to the window.

Sure enough, a couple minutes later, Mei Hwa came out form the building, bundled up with a fuchsia scarf,  hat and mittens and white coat. She tightened the scarf around her neck and spun a couple times before dashing across the street and down the sidewalk a little until she was entering a nearby park.

"Ah~~ I love winter~!" she sighed, stretching out her arms with a broad smile.

She skipped down the small walkway until she found a small area of undisturbed snow, grinning and quickly hopping over to it, then falling back on it with a round of giggles. She stretched out her arms and legs and dragged them through the snow, humming a random tune before sitting up and looking at her snow angel. She smirked before taking her glove and managing to carve out small horns on the spot where her head was.

"Snow angel, psh! My snow devil's cooler," she snickered, managing to hoist herself back to her feet.

A snowball suddenly hit her on the back making her yelp and swing around.

"Ah! Noona I'm sorry!" a younger boy cried. "Ya, Minhyun! Learn how to aim you pabo!!"

"Sorry Noona!" another boy apologized, his face pink from embarrassment.

She couldn't help but giggle and wave it off, the two returning to their friends to play.

Mei Hwa sighed and sat back down in the snow and watched the middle schoolers play, slightly jealous of their jovial laughter while she sat there and pouted all on her lonesome.

"Let it snow let it snow let it snow~♪"

Mei Hwa laughed as erratic clumps of snow fell from the sky and landed on her head, turning around to see Jongin sprinkling snow onto her.

"I thought it was too cold for you," she mocked.

"You just looked too pathetic playing in the snow alone," Kris snickered from behind him, his hands stuffed in his pockets.

Mei Hwa leaned over slightly to see that the others were also there making her grin.

Jongin offered her his hand and managed to hoist the girl off of the ground, Mei Hwa brushing any remaining snow off of her rear.

"Well?" Minseok began.

When Mei Hwa gave him a confused look he couldn't help but laugh.

"You got us out in the snow, so what do you want to do?" he expanded.

Mei Hwa's brow creased in thought for a few moments, bringing her gloved hand up to tap her chin. She found inspiration from a round of younger laughter from behind her, making her grin.

"Korea against China!" she declared, raising a challenging finger up so that she almost poked him on the nose.

"Wait… what??"

"What do you mean Korea against China??" Suho asked, sounded as confused as the other boys felt.

"Jongin, Chanyeol, Sehun, Joonmyeon-oppa, Minseok-oppa and Kyungsoo against myself, Kris, Yixing and Tao!" she declared, pointing to each person at their name.

While the Korean boys talked it over, Mei Hwa bounced over to her three fellow Chinese performers.

"Let's have a China versus Korea game! Will you fight with me my brethren~?" she cheered.

Kris chuckled with a smirk while Yixing and Tao gave her slightly confused looks. When she gave them a pleading look and clasped her hands in front of her they laughed and agreed making her cheer again.

"So what are we going to play?" Tao asked, giving the older girl a questioning look.

Mei Hwa grinned and turned to see the other boys had gathered in a small circle talking amongst themselves. She bent down to pick up some snow and quickly patted it into a ball.

"W-wait! Jie-jie-"

Before Tao could stop her, Mei Hwa wound up and chucked the snowball at the back of Chanyeol's head making him yelp and swing around.

"Snowball fight!!"

With a mixture of battle cries and shocked shrieks, both groups dashed away in different directions, Mei Hwa hiding behind a bench with Yixing.

"You could have warned us first!" Kris barked from behind a tree.

Mei Hwa ignored him and peaked over the bench, only for a snowball to narrowly miss hitting her face.

"Zitao, quick! We need some sort of shelter! Yixing, go help! Kris and I'll hold these fiends off!" she belted, quickly gathering snow and making a bunch of snowballs.

"Ya! No Chinese babble!" Sehun barked.

"Yeah we can't understand you!" Xiumin added with a laugh.

"No fair!" Kyungsoo added.

"You cheater!" Chanyeol hollered.

The boys suddenly let out a round of cries as Kris reached around the tree and threw his own snow balls at them.

Mei Hwa laughed as she aided in the assault, moving with Yixing over to where the two Chinese giants were hiding, Tao already building a small fort.

"I'm hit! I'm hit!"

"No! Jongin don't go towards the light!"

"You will be avenged!"

Sehun swung around the tree he was hiding behind and managed to hit Kris in the chest making him sigh but walk away from the battle field.

"Oi! You useless thing! You lasted all of three minutes!" Mei Hwa roared after him.

Kris simply rolled his eyes and sat beside Jongin off to the side, the younger boy laughing and patting him on the back.

"Don't worry Jie-jie! I'll fight with you!" Tao claimed, jumping up and throwing an onslaught of snowballs at the others.

Mei Hwa laughed and the two sides began their war.

"It's no use! There's too many of them!" Yixing laughed, hiding behind their fort with the other two.

"Then there's no alternative!" Mei Hwa gave a huff and ped her jacket, Tao and Yixing giving her baffled looks. "I'll get as many of them out as I can! For the glory of Haidong!"

"And Changsha!" Yixing added with a laugh.

"And Quingdao!" Tao grinned, pumping his fist into the air.

Mei Hwa took off her jacket and held it in front of her as she ran towards the opposite side. She leapt over the small barrier that they had made and managed to tackle one of them to the ground.

"AH!!! Snow up my shirt SNOW UP MY SHIRT!!" Kyungsoo squealed, flailing around while Mei Hwa got off of him.

"An intruder!" Suho laughed, pointing at her.

"GET HER!"

Mei Hwa yelped and pulled her coat up to block the barrage of snowballs before blindly leaping forward and managing to wrap it around one of them.

"Ya! Who turned out the lights!" Minseok yelped with a laugh, flailing his arms.

Mei Hwa couldn't help but laugh, releasing a surprised yelp when his arms soon wrapped around her.

"Quick! I got her! Get her out!"

"Oppa!!"

The boys laughed as she tried to pry his arms off of her and soon felt her back get pelted by snow. Just when she thought the snow had stopped attacking her, she could feel the collar of her shirt being pulled back, her eyes widening.

"Ya! Oh Sehun you better not do what I think you're going to DO!!!"

The girl let out a shriek as the youngest snickered, pouring snow down the back of her shirt.

"I MAY BE CANADIAN BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I BATHE IN SNOW YOU PABO!! OPPA LET ME GO IT'S SO COLD!!" she wailed, trying to wriggle out of the oldest boy's grip.

Minseok released her and Mei Hwa flailed around trying to get the snow out of the back of her shirt.

"SEHUN YOU'RE DEAD!!"

The maknae gave a terrified shriek and ran out of the small fort, Mei Hwa right behind him. She managed to catch up and tackled him to the ground, taking a handful of snow and shoving it down the front of his shirt, Sehun letting out a shrill scream at the cold.

"NOONA FORGIVE MEEE!!!"

"HONOURIFICS AREN’T GOING TO SAVE YOU NOW MAKNAE!!"

The others howled with laughter as Mei Hwa continued to attack the youngest, Sehun trying to no avail to get the girl and the snow she was holding away from him.

When she felt her revenge had been satisfied, she allowed Sehun to run back to the safety of the other boys, Mei Hwa snickering as she walked over to sit with Jongin, Kris, Kyungsoo and Minseok.

"Would you like your coat back?" Minseok asked with a chuckle.

Rather than replying, the girl squished herself into the small space between him and Jongin, quickly wrapping her arms around either of theirs and bringing them closer to her.

"You guys are nice and toasty~"

"Stop flirting!" Kris teased with a smirk on his face.

"KEVIN!"

"WE WIN!!"

The ousted group turned to see Chanyeol hugging Suho as Yixing and Tao brushed snow off of themselves.

"Sorry Mei-mei," Yixing apologized, giving her a small smile.

Mei Hwa laughed and shrugged, taking her coat from Minseok before standing up with the others.

"Now what? I'm too hyper to go back inside!" Chanyeol rambled, bouncing up to them.

Mei Hwa placed a gloved finger on her chin again before an idea popped into her head.

"My family always did this when it snowed outside back in Canada! C'mon Jongin, come help Noona! You guys build a snowman or something while we're gone!" she cheered, quickly dragging her dongsaeng behind her.

Jongin laughed and quickly matched her pace as she lead him back to the dorms and up to the one she had once shared with the f(x) girls before they debuted last year.

"Omo! It's Jongin!!"

"Hello Jongin~~!"

"Ya! Back off he's mine!" Mei Hwa barked, quickly pushing the blushing boy into the kitchen.

"But Unnie can't you share~?"

"NO!"

Mei Hwa's dorm mates went silent and pouted as she began digging through the cupboards, Jongin shifting his eyes between the older girl and the others who were now peeking around the corner.

"Um… Noona…?"

"A-ha! Found them!" she cheered, pulling out seven or eight spray bottles from the back of the cupboard. "Here Jonginnie, fill these with water please~"

The boy laughed and took the bottles from her and began filling them in the sink as she hopped up onto the counter and began rummaging through the top cupboard. With another small cheer of victory, she pulled out a rainbow coloured box and hopped down, shuffling over so that she stood beside Jonging at the sink.

"What's that?" he asked, pointing to the box.

"This, Jongin, is a necessary item in every single household even if you don't cook often," she grinned, pulling out a tiny bottle. "Food colouring!"

"Food colouring? What are you going to do with-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Mei Hwa stole a squirt bottle and popped open the small red bottle, putting in four drop of red colouring into the water before putting the head back on and shaking it a couple times. She squeezed the nozzle a couple times until red water came out, making Jongin's eyes widen.

"White snow? Bah! Let's make it tye-dye!" she grinned, handing him the green food colouring bottle.

Jongin grinned and took two bottles, putting the colouring in while she did another red one.

After all of the squirt bottles were coloured, the duo ventured back to the park, only to find the boys had managed to make what could only be described a Picasso representation of a castle out of snow.

"Oh my god just put the poor thing out of its misery…" Mei Hwa muttered with a raised eyebrow.

"I'd like to see you do better!" Chanyeol barked.

"What do you have there?" Suho asked, noticing the squirt bottles the two were holding.

"You better not spray us with those…" Kris warned, giving the girl a look.

"Relax Kris, it's for the snow!" Mei Hwa laughed, walking over with Jongin and handing the bottles out.

"For the… snow??" Minseok questioned, looking at the bottle oddly.

"Yeah, see?"

While he was still holding it, Mei Hwa moved it and squeezed the trigger, red water coming out and dying the snow making the boys give out impressed 'Oohhs'.

"Ya! Why's mine blue!?" Sehun whined. "It's should be green or red!"

"Christmas was two months ago Sehun!" Kyungsoo laughed, spraying his own small portion of the dilapidated castle.

"Wait, we have a castle. That means we need a royal court!" Jongin laughed,

"Well Mei Hwa would be the Queen obviously…" Chanyeol grinned.

Mei Hwa stopped translating for Yixing and Tao to glare at him. "Ya! I don't want to be Queen! Make Sehun Queen, he screams like a girl anyways!"

"YA!!"

"Fine Mei Hwa can be the King!" Minseok laughed.

"Wait, does that mean you guys are like my personal harem or something?? Sweet I'm surrounded by hot men!!"

The boys burst out laughing, many of their faces going pink, and not from the cold wind hitting their cheeks.

"Are you saying you weren't before?" Kris scoffed.

"Not if I was near you…"

"OI! I HEARD THAT!!"

The boys let out another round of laughter as Kris threw a large handful of snow at the girl, Mei Hwa managing to dodge and throw a smaller handful back at him.
