“That doctor said they’ll be awake soon but it’s been nearly three hours!” Changmin gritted his teeth in frustration. “What the hell is that buffoon’s definition of ‘soon’ anyway?”

“I said sit down!” Wrapping a hand around the younger man’s wrist, Heechul yanked until Changmin plopped down on the vacant seat next to him. “Now, fret all you want but just stay seated. You’re driving all of us dizzy!”

Changmin scowled but stayed where he was; a look of helplessness that the team had been accustomed to seeing since Endless Night went up in flames for the second time crossing his face once more. Thanks to Jessica’s connections, they had managed to get Sooyoung, Kris, and Kyuhyun to one of the best hospitals in Seoul, specifically in a spacious room large enough to fit all three patients in a private wing. Siwon had stayed behind to deal with the case; the dark haired officer officially making an arrest once Chief Ahn arrived in the scene. Yunho and Yoona had also stayed behind to help the police in the investigation; the trio pointedly requesting that they be kept up to date with what was going on in the hospital.

They likewise kept everyone up to date with the case; the latest call from Yunho informing everyone that Kyung Dongsoo had been taken to a government hospital handcuffed for a medical evaluation. An accomplice had been identified too as a man named Jang Ohseung surrendered himself to the police; Amber and Jessica gasping in surprise when they realized it was the man they were questioning when they received the news of Sooyoung’s vision.

The suspect was caught but the case was far from over, at least for the police. And for the rest of the team, it wouldn’t be over until their three unconscious members were a hundred and one percent okay.

As it was Changmin and Heechul were occupying the seats on the opposite side of the beds. The rest of the team were soon on their feet, crowding around the healer’s bed as he continued to stir in his sleep; his eyebrows furrowing for a moment before his eyes slowly fluttered open. Kris winced slightly as the light suddenly invaded in his eyes; the blonde man taking a moment or two to refocus his sight before he noticed everyone gathering around him. “What happened?”

“You collapsed.” Seohyun explained. “Dongsoo’s been arrested and the spirits have passed on. But you, Kyuhyun, and Sooyoung got the short end of the stick.”

His eyes widened at the as he looked on either side of him. “They haven’t woken up yet?”

“You’re the first.” Yoona shook his head. “How are you feeling, Kris?”

“Like I ran for an entire week without stopping.” Kris groaned when he tried to move; his eyes shifting towards Changmin and seeing all the questions in his eyes. “Min.”
