“MURDER?!” Siwon practically yelled at Changmin’s face; the younger man making a face at the officer before he mock wiped invisible spit from his face. “How’s that possible?”

“Your guess is as good as ours.” Kyuhyun replied from his chair.

The team had decided as a whole to get Siwon involved once more, especially after last’s night events, which resulted to one Kim Heechul being on complete bed rest for the entire day after losing much energy trying to remove the invisible barrier and then being possessed by a spirit soon after. Of course, Heechul was quick to protest the arrangements, saying that he was feeling just fine and he wanted to participate in the case. That was until Jessica blatantly threatened to chain him to the bad. Add an additional threat from Kris that promised to induce him into a coma until the case was over if he didn’t rest for the day and the shaman’s immediate fate was pretty much sealed.

“But what if the spirit was just bluffing?” Yunho asked. “Maybe the spirits themselves are the ones covering something up.”

“It’s a possibility.” Jessica conceded. “But what could they cover up that made them stay on Earth for ten years? And if that spirit was telling the truth, then it means there’s more to this case than we all thought.”

“That’s a good point.” Changmin shot Siwon a questioning look. “Do you think you can go over the evidences again? I know they’re ten years old but maybe there’s something that the police back then missed or even covered up?”

“I can do that. I’m sure Chief Ahn won’t mind if we take a look at the old files since, you know, he owes us.” His eyes scanned the room until they landed on Yoona and Amber. “Can you two come with me?”

“Sure.”

“Yeah, no problem.”

Kyuhyun nodded before he turned towards Seohyun. “Would you be okay to do a séance tonight?”

Kris pursed his lips; the blonde man looking away from the monitors before him. “Is that really a good idea?”

“It’s okay.” Seohyun assured both men. “I can do it.”

Sooyoung didn’t look convinced. “Are you sure? You don’t have to do it. We can find another way.”

“I’m sure, Sooyoung. Don't worry.”

“Alright.”

“Seriously. This is completely unnecessary.”

Kyuhyun looked completely amused. “Says who?”

“Says me.” Heechul scowled at the younger man from his bed. “Why are you here anyway? Are you my babysitter?”

He smirked. “Too bad everyone’s against you.”

“I don’t need to be treated like a kid.”

“You sure are acting like one.” Kyuhyun arched an eyebrow, flopped onto his bed, stretching his long limbs before him. “Jessica’s just worried about you. We all are.”

He snorted. “That woman? Worried? She hates me. We fight and fight. That’s what we do.”

The dark haired man left it that, noting that the shaman said nothing about hating Jessica at all. “You wanna know what’s happening out there?”

“Please.” Heechul sat up. “Siwon came?”

“Yup. I think he’s the most shocked out of all of us when he found out that the spirit claims they were murdered.” He scooted up until he was leaning against the headboard of his bed. “He just left a few minutes ago. Took Yoong and Amber with him to look at all the evidences from ten years ago again.”

“That seems best.” A beat passed. “Do you think the spirit was telling the truth?”

His shoulders lifted in a slight shrug. “I don’t know, Chul. We were talking about that earlier too. Everything’s a possibility right now, you know?”

“Yeah.” Heechul groaned. “So what’s the plan now?”

“Seohyun’s going to do a séance later.”

He straightened up. “Seohyun’s okay with that?”

“She said she is.” Kyuhyun replied.

“Okay then.” Heechul nodded. “Now we wait and see.”
