She shouldn’t have kissed him back given the situation, but Kijoon had missed moments like this so much. Her hands were fixed on Wonwoo's neck, while he wiped away the tears that kept hurdling down her cheeks.

When he pulled away Kijoon only sobbed more. "I'm sorry." he mumbled getting to his feet. "I'll talk to Mingyu." Wonwoo started for the door not realizing Kijoon whispered for him to stay.

Wonwoo waited until he was far enough from Kijoon's apartment to let out a long groan and fist at his hair. "Ahh, what am I going to say?!” He was beating his head on a wall trying to piece together different phrases until he was in front of Mingyu’s door.

“Mingyu, you know my feelings for Kijoon and over a long period of time she’s decided she reciprocates them.” Wonwoo shook his head, “Mingyu. Kijoon has made a choice between the two of us. I’m sorry to tell you that she’s chosen me. No. Nope. No.” He paced back and forth on Mingyu’s door step. “Mingyu-“ The door in front of him swung open. “Mingyu.” Wonwoo let out an uneasy laugh. He straightened his back scrunching his toes in his shoes to push him for extra courage. “Mingyu, I was just with Kijoon –“

Mingyu stepped out closing the door behind him, “Um, we were talking and-“ Wonwoo’s eyes diverted to the ground.

“I know. Just, take care of her will you?” Wonwoo opened and closed his mouth looking like a fish out of water, “The window is open.” Mingyu pointed around the corner to an open window pane. Wonwoo closed his eyes frustrated cursing his stupidity.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interfere with your relationship. I just-“

Mingyu raised his hand for Wonwoo to stop talking. “She’s always had an eye for you. You can tell when she’s with the both of us together. Just take care of her, that’s all I ask.” Wonwoo nodded chewing on his bottom lip. “I’m going to head out. I haven’t left the house all day, you’re welcome to join me if you’d like.” Mingyu started on his way knowing Wonwoo would follow if he was going to join.

It took a minute for Wonwoo to decide whether to follow his broken hearted friend of give him space, but considering Mingyu hadn’t come into contact with any of his friends pushed him to follow. “Where are you off to?” Wonwoo sprinted past walking backwards in front of him. Mingyu hadn’t decided yet, he looked around his surroundings.

“I’m not sure yet. Where did we go last year, as a pair?” Wonwoo raised his hand,

“Three places; the PC rooms, Kijoon’s house, and Park.” His fingers folded into his hand with every place.

“Wow, we were boring. I guess we might as well go to the park.” The two boys walked in awkward silence until they were swinging on some old play equiptment in the middle of the park.

Mingyu was the first to spring a conversation, and to Wonwoo’s displeasure. “Are you going to date her?” Wonwoo looked away grimacing. He wondered why Mingyu and Kijoon were so persistent with their thoughts.

“I- I’d like to. But I won’t if you don’t want me to.” Wonwoo looked over at Mingyu who had stopped swinging and had his hands in his lap looking down at them.

“I just want her to be happy, if it’s not with me then its better with you.” Wonwoo felt his heart tense up at Mingyu’s words. He could tell that Mingyu really was in love with Kijoon, but that didn’t change that he was too. Wonwoo wanted to sigh until all his tangled feelings were gone. “If you do like her make sure you do things for her.” Mingyu continued after waiting in silence.

“Like what?” Wonwoo twisted the metal chains of the swing together.

Mingyu smiled lightly to himself, looking up at the sky and swung lightly, “Make sure you greet her in the morning with a small kiss, so she knows that she’s the first thing on your mind when you start your day. Make sure to leave her sticky notes with little reminders about chores and such, so she can smile while she does them. Make sure to hold her close enough to feel her heart beat, and kiss her long enough so that she won’t miss you as much as she could before.” Wonwoo held his swing still listening to Mingyu list endless things to do for Kijoon.

“Lastly, you know how Kijoon is a day dreamer. Go out of your way to see her smile and be romantic. She compares every life scenario with the ones that occur in her dreams so you’ll always have a standard to uphold.” Mingyu exhaled deeply looking at Wonwoo with a small smile. “She’ll love you entirely if you do those things for her.” He looked down at his watch, “I suggest if you want to get a head start you should go see her now. Her parents come home in an hour.”

Wonwoo was speechless, was Mingyu telling him to go after his severely recent ex-girlfriend? Mingyu raise his hands and shooed Wonwoo away. Wonwoo stood up and took two steps away from his younger, “Are you sure?” Mingyu nodded flashing his teeth quickly. Wonwoo thanked him and went on his way.
