I watch her curls into my embrace and hug herself tightly. She must be hurt and I’m a part of the reason why she hurt. I mean I practically force her to open up to me, asking her to open her old wounds and in the end I cannot do anything to erase her pain away. If there’s anything that could ease her a little I would search for it till the end of the world, but she’s not telling me anything, not asking me anything.

And then I’m asking myself, am I worth it? Am I worth her love? I didn’t know, I don’t know. What if she told me she loves me, not because out of love but because she pities me. I am a pitiful soul. Should I stop it? Should I stop her from pretending that she loves me? I know it must be hard to let her go as I start to love her deeply than I think, but if it could make her happy why not?

Jessica’s little sobs was heard. I sigh and put my chin on top of her. it’s useless to say typical soothing words like ‘I’m sorry to hear that’, ‘it’s in the past’, or ‘I know it’s hurt, but don’t give up’ because it sounds so empty and well, I bet she’s already heard it like tons of it and she doesn’t need that anymore. I mean, I’ve been in her position before. Everyone said that to my face, patted my back, treat me a bottle of expensive whiskey, or even stay in my apartment like a whole week and shot me that look. The look that full of pity. I don’t need it. I don’t need all the attention just because everyone think I’m not that strong
