To Yuya,

You’ve always been a strange one, you know.

Why?

Almost all of my memories with you have one thing in common- rain. Yes, rain as in the droplets that fall from the sky. (Honestly, what other definition of the word ‘rain’ is there?) Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised even if you told me now that you have some kind of power to control rainfall. 

...Well, okay maybe I would. But anyway, back to the point, the times I spent with you were mostly filled with rain. Take our first date for example.

For your first date, Yuya had brought you to the amusement park but on that very day, there was a sudden downpour.

“Let’s go ride the rollercoaster after this!” Yuya suggested. You nodded. After spending an hour or so in the indoor section of the park playing games at the various stalls and trying a hand at  claw machines, you were eager to try out the outdoor attractions.

Walking through the automatic doors, you took in a breath of fresh air. Beside you, Yuya chuckled. “What?” You stared at him.

That made him laugh even more. “N-nothing…” He tried to stifle his laughter. “It’s just that you seemed to have been deprived of oxygen in there or something…”

“There were so many people in there, so it was really stuffy, okay?” you defended yourself, playfully slapping his arm.

He nodded while still laughing. “Okay, okay. Now let’s go!”

After walking for a while, Yuya turned to you. “Is it just me, or is it raining?” Curious, you stuck your hand out. Not feeling any drops of rain, you retracted it. “I don’t feel anything… The weather forecast said that it wasn’t going to rain today.” Yuya shrugged and both of you continued on your way to the rollercoaster.
