L’s Point of View

“Hey, Jaelin?” I knocked on her door.

“Yes?” She opened the door and asked.

“Can I come in?” I asked.

“Sure.” She said and walks into her room.

I closed the door behind me and went and sat on the edge on her bed.

“What’s wrong?” She asked.

“It’s just that, can I sleep with you tonight?” I asked.

“Huh?” She looked at me.

We used to sleep together, cuddling on the couch, but why does this felt so weird.

“I mean, it’s fine if you don’t want to.” I quickly added.

She smiled. “Why not?”

“Huh?” I looked at her. Did she say why not?

“I’ll be right back in a minute!” I said and ran out of her room, jumping in excitement.

“L! Shhh!! Keep it down! The kids are sleeping already!” Sunggyu hyung shouted at me.

“Sorry...” I said and went back to Jaelin’s room.

“So umm… I’m turning off the lights.” Jaelin said, I can see she’s slightly blushing.

“Yeah, go ahead.” I said.

We both lied on the bed, back facing each other, feeling EXTREMELY awkward. It was weird that we would even be in this situation.

“I…” The both of us speak in the same time.

“You go first.” She said.

“No, you go first.” I said back.

We laughed an awkward laugh and stayed quiet for a while.

“L, I’m sorry.” I heard her saying.

“For what?”

“Everything.” She said. Is she crying? I swear I heard her sound changed a little.

“There’s nothing to be sorry for.” I said, turning towards her only finding that she was already facing me.

Even it’s dark in the room, I can see her clearly. Her tears were streaming down her face and I was shocked.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked, using my sleeves to wipe away her tears.

“L, I love you.” She said suddenly.

I froze. Am I hearing things or did she just said she love me?

“Huh?”

“I love you Kim Myungsu god dammit! I am madly in love with you till it hurts! I hate myself for being so deeply in love with you, I hate myself for being so madly in love with you.” She said, hitting her head with her hand.

I reached out and pulled her hand.

“Don’t do that. It hurts inside.” I said and move closer to her.

I let her buried her face at my chest, tears soaking my shirt. I her hair and keeps on telling her I love her too.

“Jaelin, you know, you are the best thing that happened to me.” I said, hugging her tightly, afraid that she might leave me again.

She looks up at me and I gave her a kiss. Oh god, I miss this kiss. I miss everything of Jaelin, her laugh, her smile, her voice, everything.

She pulled away and I looked at her.

“Promise me one thing.” I said.

“What is it?” She asked.

“Never leave me again. Under any circumstances, stay with me forever.” I said.

She nodded and sniffed.

“Hey, about what I told you just now? About the coffee shop?” I said.

“Yeah?” She looked at me.

“Try naming it.” I said.

“Hmmm…. I was thinking ‘Fate’s Café’?” She said and I gave a chuckle.

“Why?”

“Because we were bought together by fate.” She said.

“You’re being cheesy.” I said and pinched her nose.

She laughed.

“Well, I think we’re bought together by my bravery.” I said.

“Yeah? Why is that?”

“I made the first move. Why do you think I’m always everywhere no matter where you go?”

“Stalker.” She said and gave me a light punch.

We keep joking around until sunrise and fell asleep. And when I woke up, she was not there.

“Jaelin?” I called. No answer.

I panicked, I know it’s kind of dumb to panic but hey, I really did.

“Hyung! See Jaelin anywhere?” I asked Sunggyu hyung.

“Nope. What’s wrong?” He asked.

“Nothing.” I said and ran out of the house.

I stopped and leave out a sigh of relieve.

“Unnie!!!”

“Yah yah! Kyaa!”

 “Muahahahaha! I am invincible!”

“Wait wait wait wait wat!”

There she was, playing with the water hose with the kids, shouting and laughing like kids.

“Morning.” She saw me and came over to me, giving me a peck on my cheek.

“Ooohhh…” The kids said and looked at us.

“Stop it kids.” She said and blushed.

“Well, why bother stopping, let’s continue. Water fights!” I said and threw a balloon filled with water towards Jaelin.

“Hey!” She said and started throwing balloons at me.

It was fun here. I want to stay here, not wanting to go back anymore.
