“Jaelin ah, let’s go to the hospital.” L said to me.

“Why?”

“Because, there’s good news. And there’s a surprise too.” He said.

“Really? Let’s go!” She got excited and we went there as soon as possible.

“Ah, Miss Jung, you’re here finally.” The nurse said.

“So, who’s the donor?” I asked.

“Umm… Mr. Park Minjae is here already. He’s in the waiting room with the doctor.”

“What? Sunbae?” I was shocked.

“Jaelin!” I heard Minjae sunbae calling my name.

“Sunbae!”

“Miss Jung, here is your donor. And I see that you already know each other.” The doctor said.

“The operation will be done the day after tomorrow.” Sunbae said, smilling.

“That soon?” L asked.

“Yes, the sooner the better.” The doctor said.

“Ahh.. So do I need to sigh anything? Or bring anything?” I asked.

“All you need is the sign this, check if your ID number is correct and it’ll be fine.” The nurse said.

“Thanks.”

“Hey, Minjae sunbae, gomawo.” L said.

“Don’t worry about it. I always take care of my friends.” Sunbae said, smiling.

I was nervous. All my troubles would be over now. I let out a sigh of relieve. I smiled and sunbae nod his head.

“Hey, no more excuses for not coming for work.” He said, rubbing my head.

“Hey, I was only away for a week.” I said and he smiled.

Two days passed so quickly and the day of the operation is here.

“Nevous?” L asked.

“Yeah…”

“Hey, look… All your friends are here.” He said.

I sit up and look. Suzy, Hyosung, Jisun unnie and Hansun they’re all here.

“Guys…”

“Hey, hwaiting! Arasso? We’ll be waiting for you.” Jisun unnie said.

“Yeah, unnie. Hwaiting!” Hansun said.

“Look, it’s hyung!” L said, pointing towords the corridor.

“Sorry, we’re stuck in traffic.” Sunggyu oppa said.

“You guys are here too? Don’t you have schedules?” I asked.

“We cancelled that.” Sungyeol said and smiled.

“Where’s Minjae?” Unnie asked.

“He’s already in there.” I said, pointing at the operation room.

“Jaelin…” Hyosung suddenly cried and hug me.

“Hey, why are you crying?” I asked.

“Hwaiting! You must get well!” She said and Suzy hug the both of us.

“It’s not like I’m dying Hyosung ah…” I said.

“Don’t say that!” Suzy said and the both of them cried harder.

“Aigoo… Okay okay… Arasso…” I said and smiled.

“Jaelin…” L said and holds my hand.

“Guys I think we better let them be alone first.” Sunggyu oppa said and everyone agrees.

“Yeah? Are you nervous too?” I asked.

“Very… See, I’m shaking.” He said.

 “Hey, it’s me going in, not you.” I said, smiling.

“That’s why I’m shaking!” He said.

“Miss Jung, it’s time to go in now.” The nurse said.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine.” I said to L.

“Wait…” He said and kisses me on the forehead. “Stay strong.”

I smiled and went into the operation room. The doctor double check everything and what I remember was I fell asleep.

L’s Point Of View

It has been 3 hours ever since Jaelin went into the operation room. I am starting to get worried.

“L hyung, can you calm down? You’re making us nervous too.” Sungjong said.

“That’s right, L ah… Sit down.” Woohyun hyung said.

“You’re right, you’re right…” I sat down. But when the doctor came in I stood up immediately.

“How is it doctor?” I asked.

“The operation went well. And the patient is now resting.” The doctor said.

“Thank you doctor. Thank you.” I said, bowing.

“Doctor, can we go see them now?” Suzy asked.

“Sure, but they are resting now so be sure to keep it down.” The doctor said.

“Thank you doctor.” Suzy said and all of us went to see Jaelin and Minjae hyung.

“Hey, Minjae, how are you feeling?” Jisun noona asked.

“Tired.” Minjae hyung said.

“Hyung, thanks…” I said.

“No need to thank me… I know you wanted to see Jaelin now… Go to her now.” Minjae hyung said.

“Thanks hyung…” I said and went out to Jaelin’s room.

There she is… Sleeping so soundly, I smiled. I went in and sit down on the chair next to her bed.

“Jaelin ah… Thank god you’re fine…” I said, stoking her hair.

“L?”

“Ah… Did I wake you up? I’m sorry!” I said.

“No, you didn’t… Am I in heaven?” She asked.

“Aishh this girl… You’re not! You’re with me!” I said.

She smiled and looked at me. She grabs my hand tightly and then fell asleep.

“Aigoo this girl…” I said to myself and smiled.

The next day, I called her grandparents and told them everything. They were shocked about everything but I told them she’s safe now and they were relieved to hear the news.

“Myungsu ah… Take care of our Jaelin okay?” Grandma said.

“I will Grandma… I will.”

“We’ll be going there, and don’t tell Jaelin. She will freak out and don’t want us to visit.” Grandpa said.

“Arasso Grandpa.”

“We’re hanging up now. Remember to take good care of here while we’re not there.” Grandma said.

“Nae, arasso Grandma.” And I hung up.

I’m sure Jaelin will kill me if she knew I called her grandparents. But they are her grandparents. They’ll know sooner or later. Besides, it’s always good to have family around when we’re in the hospital.

“L… I want to go home.” Jaelin said.

“The doctor said you still need to be in the hospital just in case okay?” I told her.

“But I’m bored.” She said.

“I’m here.” I said.

“But you’ll need to go for schedules… Besides, I miss the coffee shop.” She said.

“Just a few more days, okay?” I said.

“Okay…” She said and pouted.

“Surprise!” Suzy said and pop her head in the room.

“Suzy!” Jaelin seemed happy.

“And us!” Minjae hyung and Jisun noona said.

“Minjae sunbae! Jisun unnie! What are you guys doing here? Who’s watching the coffee shop?” Jaelin asked.

“Hansun. And there’s a new kid. I figure we’ll need some extra help.” Jisun noona said.

“Ah… Where’s Hyosung?” Jaelin asked.

“She must be lost again.” Suzy said.

“Sorry I’m late!” Speak of the devil… Hyosung came running in the room.

“Whoa…” We were all shocked by the fruit basket she bought.

“What? It’s for Jaelin.” She said and smiled.

“Hey, you guys chat okay? I need to go for my schedules.” I said.

“When will you be back?” Jaelin asked.

“I’m not sure.. But I’ll be back as soon as possible.” I said.

“Don’t tire out yourself.” She said and I smiled.

“I won’t!” I said and went out.
