Yoona predicted that the sun would fall in two hours time.

She also predicted that Luhan hated her for spoiling their trip. It was their first ever trip overseas and Yoona messed it up just because she couldn’t pull herself together and faced the reality.

Grunting in shame, she hid her face onto her crossed arms on the table. She waited for her phone to ring. Waited for a phone call from Luhan, was certainly tiring. She wanted to apologized for being such a wet blanket and somehow make up to him for the next remaining two days –one day then they would have to catch their flight the next day which was scheduled to be taken placed early in the morning, 6.30 am, to be exact.

But would call Luhan be a good choice? Yoona didn’t want to disturb his day. Maybe he found another girl who didn’t have as much problem as she did.

“Luhan, I love you.” Yoona murmured, hoping that her saying would somehow make its way to Luhan’s head.

She slid from her seat and looked to the city view of Paris.

How could she possibly feel so lonely in a city crowded of people?

So many voices lingered to her ear as she opened the window yet; the voice she wanted to soothe her wasn’t one of many…

Until the sound of the door suddenly banged opened, revealing Luhan, who was… panting?

Was he running?

“Yoona, come with me right now. There’s someone you have to meet.” Luhan said between his breaths. He inhaled and exhaled speed walking to Yoona’s side, grabbing her jacket and phone with him.

“Hurry, put this on,” Luhan handed her, her jacket and fetched her, her shoes while Yoona was still in the process of putting on her jacket. Why was Luhan such in a hurry?

“Where are we going?” Yoona asked.

Luhan held her hand while his other hand was sliding the card to the slot, the red light blinked and Luhan started to led Yoona to the elevator.

“Lu, you’re not answering me.” Yoona stressed but still walking along with him.

“You’ll see, Yoon. You’ll see.” Luhan vaguely replied.

They all the way to the park, where happy children ran around playing tag or flying kites and the adults were enjoying each other’s company.

Yoona felt slightly warmed up by the addicting happy aura which surrounded the park, seeing these people with smiles on their faces and laughter coming out of their lips was something to remind Yoona to be positive.

“Yoona, this is Stella.” Luhan introduced her to a lady who seemed to be in her late forties, in casual clothing.

Luhan turned to the older woman,“This is my girlfriend that I told you about.” Luhan briefly told her

Stella nodded, which Yoona found to be amusing, because this French woman –or at least, seemed to be a French woman understood what Luhan just said.

“Hello, Yoona-sshi.” Stella greeted her whom Yoona responded with a slight bow and a quick greeting.

“Stella used to nurse your mother in the hospital,” Luhan explained.

Yoona had her eyes widen, much too dazed to believe what was happening.

Did Luhan really go to the trouble for her?

“Why is she here for? Not that I’m trying to be rude or anything. I’m just very curious.” Yoona voice died out in the end to a mumble.

“I know that you feel bumped about the recent news, but Stella had something to share with you. And I think you should listen to what she had to say.” Luhan had an encouraging smile on his face.

Yoona kept looking back to Luhan, to Stella then back to Luhan. Obviously she felt anxious. The last time news was given to her, Yeonhee told her that her mom was dead, and ironically, she felt like she was the one who had her soul ripped from her body.

“Why don’t you sit down?” Stella invited Yoona to the bench, smiling sincerely, like how nurse usually did.

“So you were my mom’s nurse?” Yoona trailed on and the blond woman nodded.

“Yes, I was new and she was my first patient. Pleasant, nice and soft-hearted, that was her. I remember that she was the only one gave me a sincere smile every day, very hopeful smile. It was nice to see that she had faith. She was always so positive despite her condition, she would always say that the day she would be cure, would also the day she returned to Korea to her family.”

Stella smiled and continued, “She frequently talked about her two beautiful daughters and loving husband whom she had to leave behind, but the thought of being cured and reunite with her family kept her faith going. She mentioned about a baby girl. She kept on wondering how she would be, without her mother. That part made her sad, but she told me that no matter what, she would always love her baby and her brave sister, and now,” Stella gesturing her hand to Yoona.

“One of the two is sitting on the same bench where her mom liked to sit on,” Stella paused, "Do you know why?" she asked Yoona who was shaking her head as her answer, she was starting to tear up from Stella’s back story of her mom. “Because it made her happy, seeing children play and grow up here in this park, motivate her to get better so she could get back home and watch her two daughters grow up, side by side with her husband whom she loved just as much.” Stella paused for a while, “I’ve always wonder, who are these two children she seemed so fond of?”

“I’m glad that I have the chance to meet you, Yoona. Your mother would be so happy to see how you turned out to be.” Stella ended her speech when Yoona’s tears fell uncontrollably.

“Thank you for telling me that. All this time, I thought that the reason why my mother left was because she hated me, but –thank you, just thank you for sharing this with me.” Yoona voiced.

“My pleasure, dear. Your mother would want me to tell you that.” Stella smiled, pulling Yoona into a hug, her hair, “Don’t cry, now.”

“Yoon, do you want to go back to the hotel? Stella’s shift starts in 30 minutes and the hospital is pretty far, she needs to go,” Luhan finally voiced out after some time of silence.

“Nice to meet you, Stella. Thank you for taking care of mother.” Yoona bowed.

“Likewise and it’s my job to take care of patients.” Stella replied as she raised from her seat and waved before leaving the two of them.

Luhan touched her shoulder and smiled, “C’mon,” he nodded to the side.

“wait–” Yoona stopped him, and Luhan stared at her

“Yes?”

“You really did all of that for me?” Yoona asked and Luhan nodded. “Why?” Yoona asked for the second time.

“Because you were upset and you felt betrayed that the people around you didn’t tell you anything. I can read you, Yoon, You probably hate me then,” Luhan replied, “plus, you saved money and took a flight to Paris to find answers and I promised to help, I’m just so sorry that it wasn’t from the one you’ve always wanted to hear them from-” Yoona pressed her lips against Luhan’s.

Luhan blinked, but eventually melted into the kiss.

“Thank you," Yoona said against his lips, "And I’m sorry for making you worried. I don’t hate you, Lu. I have to admit that I was upset, you seemed to know about my mom’s death earlier than I did, but you didn’t tell me anything, but I can’t stay mad with you for long. I love you, Xi Luhan and thank you,” Yoona wrapped her arms around her boyfriend’s waist and buried her face into his chest. Luhan had his arms around her, pulling her close and smiled.

“Anything for you,” Luhan raised her chin and kissed her softly.
