Yoona carefully held Luhan’s left arm while the taxi driver help them by opening the taxi’s door and held Luhan’s right arm. Poor Luhan could only limp his way to the taxi. Once they were all settled down inside the taxi, Yoona sighed in relief. She was afraid that she was too rough on him. Their way down just now wasn’t easy, Luhan took his time walking down the stairs with Yoona by his side, of course she was being patience the whole time, and she was very worried about Luhan. Was his injury that serious? She hoped not.

The taxi began to move as the driver drove them to the nearest hospital. Luhan, who was still feeling woozy, rested his head on Yoona’s lap as she continued to caress his hair. Luhan closed his eyes as he could still feel the pounding pain on his head.

Yoona pulled out her phone and dialed Yesung’s number. “Hello Yoong?” Yoona heard Yesung called from the other side of the phone. “Oppa, I’m sorry to bother you but are you at the hospital right now?” Yoona hoped for Yesung to examine Luhan‘s ankle. She preferred Luhan to examine by someone she knew. Yesung was a Radiologic technologist. “Neh. Why? Are you hurt? Did you sprain anything?”Yesung asked.

“No, but my friend is. I think he sprained his ankle. Can you please check? Please.”Yoona practically begged to her sunbae. “Sure. Just tell the receptionist that you have an appointment with me. Okay?”

“Neh, kamsa oppa!” And with that Yoona hung up.

Yoona and Luhan arrived at the hospital. Yesung told her that Luhan had a minor concussion since he told the doctor how his visions were blurry and how dizzy he felt just by standing up and his ankle didn’t help at all. Although the concussion was minor and that Yoona shouldn’t worry much, how could she not. It’s Luhan who was injured here; of course she would be worried.

Yesung had also finished examining Luhan’s ankle. They were right, it was sprained. Yesung advised Luhan to rest and to curtail his activities. He told Yoona to apply icepack onto his ankle every 3-4 hours. Yoona took every detail warily, not wanting to miss any important note.

Luhan looked up to Yoona as he sat on the chair which he entitled as “sick person’s seat.” All his life he never been so careless, this was his first time and he had to admit he was feeling the mixture of scared and timid but he was glad that Yoona was there with him.

He didn’t like the doctor though; they seemed so close that it irked Luhan. When he touched his ankle, Luhan felt like he wanted to kick him in the face if it wasn’t for the pain. If only his foot wasn’t sprained, he would totally kick him all the way to North Korea, at least he wouldn’t return to Seoul.

“So, I think that’s it. Yoong, you have to be his personal nurse for following days or so. And Luhan,” Yesung turned to the lil’ jealous Lulu who was had his arms crossed. “Get well soon.” Yesung wished him with a smile.

*Yea, well enough to kick your sorry .* Luhan added in his head.

On their way back to their apartment, Luhan didn’t talk at all. He was oozing in jealousy, why was Yoona talking to that doctor all the time when they were at the hospital? It didn’t even occur to Luhan that Yoona was taking every note he advised for a speedy recovery for Luhan. At that point he was being a lil’ stubborn brat.

Once they reached their apartment door, Yoona helped Luhan to his room and settle him down on his bed, she was being extra careful to not touch his bed as it was part of their house rule.

“I’ll be right back with your icepack. Don’t move.” Yoona jokingly scolded.

Luhan couldn’t help but smile, Yoona was being his personal nurse. He liked that. He poked his right ankle, “What did I say, Lu?”Yoona came back after a while.

Luhan sheepishly smiled and scratched his head. Good thing was his headache was gone. One less thing for Yoona to worry about. She was glad Luhan was back to normal except for the ankle of course.

Yoona raised Luhan’s wrapped ankle and put a stack of books with a pillow on top for elevation. She then pressed the ice pack onto Luhan’s ankle. All this time Luhan didn’t realized that his icepack was a bag of frozen peas, he giggled. “What?”Yoona questioned.

Luhan only pointed to his icepack, “is that supposed to be my snack since I’m not allowed to walk to the kitchen.” He joked.

“Ani, I just filled paper cups with water then freeze the cup for you to use the frozen cube like an ice cream cone, peeling away paper as the ice melts later, as for now we just have to stick to that.”Yoona pointed.

She set a timer on the side table which made Luhan wondered, “Err, Yoon? What’s up with the timer?”

“It will ring in 20 minutes time.  Doctor said NOT to ice the ankle sprain for more than 20 minutes at a time because your ankle won’t heal any faster plus Yesung oppa said that it can damage your tissues.”

“Wow, you know a lot.”Luhan was amazed on how knowledgeable she was in his situation.

“I asked Yesung oppa a lot just now.” She giggled.

Luhan felt guilty and stupid at the same time. All those time he didn’t talk to her because he was jealous of her and Yesung talking all the time but it was actually for Luhan’s sake.

“I’ll leave you to rest, I have to call Taeyeon that I won’t go to work.” Yoona told him.

“Yoon?”  Luhan stopped her.

“Yea?”

“Thank you so much.”

“Anything for you.” Yoona replied with a smile.
