“That was nice, right?” Yoona asked, waving her umma, blowing her a kiss while walking down the streets hand-in-hand with Luhan.

“Yea, she was nice. Very motherly and warm hearted. No wonder you like her so much.” Luhan started to swing their hands.

After a few steps, Yoona suddenly jumped in glee and paused in front of her boyfriend.

“Luhan! I know a small animal shelter here. I used to work there; can we go there, please?” Yoona pled.

Luhan thought for a minute before replying “sure”

Yoona cheered and dragged him forward. The sudden tug had almost made Luhan lost his balance and fall over, flat to the concrete walkway, face first. Good thing that that didn’t happen.

Thank God, that would have been humiliating and clumsy.

“Tada!” Yoona spread her arms to the brown paint covered wall of a small animal shelter. Yoona tapped the window pane, lips puckered as she wiggled her fingers to the puppies on the other side of the window.

“Oh, look at them, they are so cute,” Yoona smiled warmly and waved lightly to the puppies, which they responded positively. Their small paws were randomly tapping on the window while wiggling their short tails.

The sound of bell rang, then came a deep, husky voice caught the couple’s attention, “Yoona? Im Yoona? –Is that you?” He asked, hands in his jeans pocket and eyeing only to Yoona, obviously ignoring the blond-headed man next to her.

“Park Taekyung? –Wow, it’s been a while, huh? How are you, Taekyung-sshi?” Yoona turned to him and gave him a quick friendly handshake before pulling Luhan by her side, “This is Luhan, my boyfriend.” Yoona looked at her man proudly and Luhan offered his hand, which Taekyung took.

“Taekyung, Yoona’s ex-neighbor,” Taekyung introduced himself.

“Luhan, Yoona’s Boyfriend,” Luhan broke the ice.

Taekyung’s attention suddenly shifted to Yoona, “What are you doing here?” he asked.

“Luhan brought me here, to see umma. Since we’re here so I wanted to show him the animal shelter I used to work at,” Yoona answered, which Taekyung nodded.

“Why don’t you meet the little guys, they obviously like you,” Taekyung pointed at the overly energetic puppies by the window, barking for Yoona’s attention.

“Can we?” Yoona asked, again.

“Sure, I work here.” Taekyung guided them in. Yoona headed to the entrance giddily, of course Taekyung was too, but Luhan on the other hand was fuming with jealousy. He knew that look in Taekyung’s eyes a while ago; he wasn’t blind to see it. That man got a lot of nerves to eye HIS girl like that, with that particular expression on his face and that lovey dovey glitter in his eyes. Didn’t Yoona introduce him as her boyfriend, just now?

Oh yes, she did. Luhan even clarified it. So technically, why did he act like he didn’t get that simple explanation when they mentioned it, twice?

Luhan was on high defense mood at this point, no way was he going to let his guard down at any circumstances. “Hey Yoon, check these puppies out,” Taekyung called out for Yoona to the puppies that were displayed at the small cage at the window.

*Did I hear this guy right?* Luhan thought.

Did Park Taekyung just use Luhan’s nickname to Yoona?

There was particular reason why Luhan called Yoona, “Yoon”, and that was because, most of her friends called her by “Yoong” or just “Yoona-ah”, but Luhan wanted to stand out. Don’t know if it had been working, obviously not, because certain someone was just using the same nickname as he did. Luhan made a mental note to make a new nickname for her. That won’t be a cup of tea though, partly because he was terrible at nicknames, maybe that was the reason why because he stuck by “Yoon” the whole time, because he didn’t want Yoona to know that he didn’t come up with any special nicknames for her, although he wanted to make one for her.

Luhan rolled his eyes in annoyance when he finally knew what Taekyung’s tricks.

The old classic trick to get girls; by luring them into their soft sides, with their weapon; cute animals. Those cute and extremely adorable little creatures were dangerous on the inside. But most girls failed to see that. And Luhan hoped that Yoona won’t be much of a fool to fall for this particular effective tactic of Taekyung. What a diabolical man Luhan saw him as.

“They are so cute,” Yoona cooed as she reached out for them and letting one small maltase pup to wiggled himself to her. Raising him to her chest and let him her cheeks, she couldn’t stop her giggle on how ticklish it was and how adorable this little guy was to her.

“Luhan, look at him,” Yoona looked at him, at the same time the small puppy in her arms was looking at him too, with his beady dark eyes. This guy was pouring out all of his cuteness to Luhan; it was almost as if he was promising him his loyalty, to become his best friend. Maybe this was what all men felt to their dogs.

Luhan’s lips suddenly spread into a small smile which turned wider when Yoona handed the maltase to him.

The pup, looked at him with his little tail wiggling and Luhan’s nose,

“Aww, he likes you a lot –I think I’ve already got a competition,” Yoona joked, even though inside she felt heart felt a small tingle as she bear the scene where Luhan, the prince –her prince, who just came out of a fairytale, not to mention, the man of her dreams, was holding a precious little being in his arm. He smiled sincerely to him, and ruffled the soft fluffy fur of his. The scene was heartwarming for her, Luhan looked so sensitive, this softer side of Luhan had really made Yoona swoon over for, badly.

“He’s adorable,” Luhan said, still looking at the puppy in his hands, while Yoona just continue the pup’s fur, complementing its soft touch with her hand.

“We have more at the back; these guys are just for attracting people cause they are happy at almost all the time, friendly too, that one especially.” Taekyung suddenly popped out nowhere.

Just a while ago, Luhan had him erased from the whole picture but he was drawn back in, why?

“Oh really?” Luhan asked, rhetorically.

“I’ll go fetch one out-”

“There’s no need. We have a train to catch, we need to go.” Yoona interrupted his sentence, taking the puppy from Luhan, gave it a small peck on the head and put it back to his cage, where he ran around, playing with his brothers and sisters.

Luhan had his brows furrowed, their train was leaving in an hour in a half; they had plenty of time. He kept quiet though, he didn’t bother to say anything, mainly because he wanted to be far away from Taekyung, no- he wanted Yoona to be far away from Taekyung. FAR away.

After saying bye to the precious puppies and lastly Taekyung, who was waving good-bye to them by the door of the animal shelter as Luhan and Yoona walked down the streets and just when they were out of Taekyung’s sight, Luhan turned to Yoona, “Why did we leave so early? You were the one who wanted to go there, and our train won't be leaving till the next hour plus,” Luhan asked.

“Because, there’s no stopping that Taekyung from being a womanizer, I’ve always known his tricks to girls. He dated most of the girl population in this district, yea, all four. I don’t know how he does it,” Yoona answered honestly.

Luhan mentally applauded his girlfriend, for having such brains to this sort of situation. Luhan was so scared that she would fall for the trick, Luhan was seriously thankful that his girlfriend was smart enough to not be fooled.
