Meeting Her
My Unni's Boyfriend (Short Hiatus)Several weeks passed by since the accident, and Seoul was filled with snow. Today was the start of winter break, and all the students at Itaewon High School were excited. Except for three people.
Right after school, Kris ran to the hospital and entered the room Haewon was lifelessly lying in.
He read the news to her, washed her hands with a cloth, and cleaned the air filter. He sat down next to her, her hand.
"Haewon, if I had a Christmas wish, it would be for you to wake up. It's been 6 weeks now, and i miss you so much. Just please wake up now," Kris muttered.
His hopes fell once again, the 43rd time when her eyelids did not twitch. Not a single part of her body moved. He sighed, got up from his chair and started exiting the room. Before he did, he turned back to her and said, "I'll be back tomorrow morning. It will be such a boring winter break without you, you know."

L stayed at school for 2 hours to finish up his make up exams. He had missed the past week because he didn't like the feeling of having break without Haewon. And when he finally finished, he dreaded the upcoming days. It was snowing heavily again, and he opened his umbrella and padded through the snow covered ground. A couple of students throwing snowballs at each other and laughing passed by, and he sighed. He knew that none of that would happen this winter, maybe not even forever.
When the signal changed to the green pedestrian light, he crossed the road to the other side and walked on to his house. Ever since the accident, L had not taken the bus. It was filled with too many memories of her.
He couldn’t bear the thought that she was not here to make his smile anymore. He walked the opposite direction of his house, which was unwelcomed. He was about to walk past a large building when he noticed someone familiar. He was tall, lean, and foreign looking. *Kris..?*
He watched him as he went inside the taxi, and drove away. *What is Kris doing here?*
He looked at the building he was standing next to. Seoul International Cross Hospital. L’s eyes had widened and couldn’t help but think, ‘Could it be...?’
Could it be the hospital Haewon was staying in? He had to see, he couldn’t restrain himself anymore. L slowly walked into the hospital building, and walked to the front desk. He’s dazed at the feeling that Haewon is somewhere nearby him in this hospital. He misses her so much; her smell, touch, laugh, voice.
Just the presence of her.
“Sir..?” The front lady asks.
L wakes up from his dazed expression and looks at the lady.
“Do you need assistance in anything?” She asked.
“Yes...I’m visiting a patient named...named Park Haewon,” he said the name so carefully. Her name felt like her existence to L, it was that beautiful and precious. He hasn’t said the name aloud for the past month, and saying it felt like saying a spell.
“She is in Room 116,” The lady told him.
“Thank you,” L quickly muttered and went to find the room. His heart started racing when he saw the number that was engraved on the door. 116.
He thought of million things.
What should he say to her? How should he act llike? He took a deep breath, and opened the door
