Papers were flown everywhere. 

The loud chattering started. 

The agonizing sound of the desks and chairs screeching were heard. 

More than half of Class 3-3 of Itaewon High School exited the classroom, elated. Some students went up to the board and started scribbling and decorating it. 

‘Fall Prom, TONIGHT!!’ 

Haewon slowly packed her bag and rolled her eyes at the mess the class had made. It was a natural thing for the class president to be amused. Because she too, was looking forward to prom. 

Kris was waiting for her at the door, getting impatient. 

“Bye Haewon! See you later at prom!” Students in her class shouted at her. 

She meekly smiled and exited the classroom. 

On her way down the hallway, she received more greetings. 

“Hey! Are you coming tonight?” One guy asked in her grade. Kris frowned. 

Haewon nodded and smiled. “See you there, Minseok.” 

When Haewon reached to her locker, Kris pouted. “Why can’t I be popular like that?” 

All she did was roll her eyes. “I never wanted to be popular. They’re all just in for my sister.” 

Haewon started putting textbooks into her bag from her locker, since she wanted to study extra over the weekends. 

“Nah, I think you’re way more prettier and cuter,” Kris whispered so softly that she couldn’t hear. 

But meanwhile he was saying such things, Haewon had a wave of dizziness and placed a hand on the locker for support. She closed her eyes, waiting for the nauseous feeling to go away. 

“Hello~,” a muffled voice called her. The pain still didn’t go away. 

“Hello!” A much more clearer voice called her again, and the pain was gone. 

She looked up,  only to see Kris with a confused face. 

“Huh? Oh sorry, I was just feeling sick.” 

Kris now had a face of concern, but she waved her hand at him. “Come on, it’s nothing. It’s probably that I’m too excited about the prom tonight, that’s all!” 

“But you never have headaches. And the last time when you did was like in 8th grade. and like the day after you were almost went to the emergency room. Are you sure?” Kris said, still concerned. 

Haewon just giggled. “Don’t worry Kris, nothing’s going to happen to me. Just over-excitement. Plus, stop being so superstitious.”
