Contrary to Seoul, it was always a warm Christmas in Gold Coast. But it wasn't humid, just breezy and cool, with Christmas fair at almost every corner of Gold Coast.

On Christmas eve, Kyuhyun drove to Brisbane to have lunch at Olive and Angelo, since Sungmin's appetite has improved, now that she has reached her 1st trimester.

Olive and Angelo is an Italian restaurant, situated at 12 Edward Street in the city of Brisbane. It offers amazing authentic Italian food, and the venue itself is lovely with the outdoor garden.

"Kyu, after lunch, can we drop by Woolworths? They are having Christmas Eve sale. We can buy foodstuff for the guys when they visit our home"

"Yup, okay. We can buy baby diapers too" Kyuhyun said, turning into Edward Street from Turbot Street.

"It's still early for diapers..."

"Woolworths in Brisbane are hypermarket with large department store, so it is cheaper than Gold Coast..."

"Okay, but we don't have to buy a lot, because we might not have space..."

"Okay, we'll just buy a dozen" Kyuhyun said, looking for a vacant carpark slot.

"A dozen??!!"

"Why not, usually they are packed in boxes, so we can just keep them in the store room" Kyuhyun smile at his wife. "Ohhh there's one slot there!" Kyuhyun quickly drove to the slot and started parking.

He led his wife to the restaurant and was quickly shown to their reserved table. The good thing about having a pregnant wife was, people tend to give way to them or attend to them first, because the locals here generally care about pregnant women and the elderly. 

Kyuhyun found out that being pregnant in Australia has a lot of advantages. In Australia, pregnancy care in a public hospital or birth centre is free because it is covered by Medicare, which covers Australian citizens and long term visitors to Australia. He just need to buy Medicare insurance for his wife, and all the pregnancy cares would be free since he was holding employment Visa.

The food was delicious and Kyuhyun felt thankful that Sungmin could finished her food without throwing up. Earlier when she was in her 2nd month of pregnancy, she couldn't eat anything, other than apples and milo. Everything that went in, would be vomited out and Sungmin kept losing weight instead of gaining weight!

After lunch, Kyuhyun drove to the nearby Woolworths Macarthur Chambers at Queen Street Mall and when they stepped into the mall, it was so crowded! Everybody were everywhere in practically every shops, for last minute shopping for Christmas presents. 

Kyuhyun held his wife shoulder and steer clear of the throngs of shoppers. They reached Woolworths safely and took a shopping cart trolley. 

At the babies section, Sungmin said "Kyu, the price is really cheaper here! And they have more variety of diapers...". She compared prices and the quality of the diapers and she agreed with what Kyuhyun had said. They should buy here rather than in Gold Coast. So she decided to take two boxes of Huggies. 

"Wait Min, I'll get it, you don't carry the box" Kyuhyun stopped her. But instead of just taking 2 boxes, he added another 2 more. 

"Kyu....!!"

"We will need them, so why not just buy..?"

"I'm only 3 months pregnant, so we have plenty of time to buy. We don't have to buy now"

"My love, since it's cheaper, might as well grab them. It's not like they will turn rotten"

"Fine fine, but take the new born size, for now"

Kyuhyun checked the size, the box that he grabbed was size S and the other box was size M.  "Ohhh.. so these things got size?" he laughed at himself because he needed to learn a lot of things about babies!

Sungmin pulled him away from the babies section so that they could start buying food items and snacks. While queueing to pay, Sungmin wanted to go to the ladies.  Frequent urination is annoying but it's a common pregnancy symptom, so as her tummy and babies grew, her babies' heads put pressure on her bladder.

"Kyu, I go to the ladies and wait for you outside the supermarket after I come back from the ladies okay?" Sungmin said, started to move away. 

"Min, be careful. Do you know the way?" Kyuhyun became worried to let her go alone. 

"I saw the sign just now before we came in" 

"Be careful..." he called out. His wife turned her head and nodded and walked off. 

Kyuhyun noticed that the customer lady in front of him had started arguing with the cashier, making Kyuhyun became impatient. He wanted to quickly finish paying so that he could wait for his wife but the lady was delaying everything. 

"Excuse me, perhaps you can complete your payment first, so that you don't delay all of us?" Kyuhyun gestured the long queue behind him. 

"I wanted to use vouchers to pay but she said these vouchers can't be use here" the customer lady impatiently pointed to him her vouchers. 

Kyuhyun stepped nearer and observe the vouchers. "Ma'am, these are Big W vouchers. Though Big W is an affiliate chain to Woolworths, but it can only be used in Big W" 

"But my son said these can he used" the lady adamantly told him. 

"It can be use, yes, but at Big W, not here" Kyuhyun told her. How could a local Aussie auntie like her didn't know that? He 'face palm' in his mind. 

"Orhhh. Ok then" the lady took out her card and gave it to the cashier. After like 5 minutes, it was finally Kyuhyun's turn. 

"Thank you sir, for helping. I didn't know how to explain to her because she kept arguing" the cashier lady thanked him while started punching his stuff. 

"No problem. I thought she should know better since she's a local" Kyuhyun took out his card to get ready to pay. 

"People like her always try their luck to use other supermarket's vouchers. And they will start arguing hoping to get their way" the cashier lady was struggling to turn the diaper box to scan the bar code. 

"Ohh let me hold the box so that you scan it" Kyuhyun took over holding the box and turned it to the bar code area. 

"Thank you sir. Are those 3 boxes the same?" the cashier lady smile at him. Such a handsome guy but sadly, already taken, she said to herself. 

"Yup, they are the same. Same brand, same size" 

"Okay I'll multiply by 4 then. Okay done" 

Kyuhyun smile, passing his card to her. He put all the items back into his trolley shopping cart and when the cashier lady passed him his card and receipt, he said with a smile "thank you and Merry Christmas!" 

"Merry Christmas sir" the cashier lady smile at him. 

Kyuhyun saw with relieved that Sungmin was sitting down on a bench outside the cashier area. 

"Wow, the cashier girl was so friendly to you" she said with a tinch of sarcasm. 

"Ohhh... because I help her to settle the voucher problem of the lady in front of me. So she was just being thankful" Kyuhyun adjusted their cart so that it would not obstruct the walking area. "You found the ladies?" 

"Yeah" and Sungmin got up and walked ahead. She was a bit annoyed because the cashier and her husband were being friendly with each other! 

Kyuhyun hastily pushed their cart to catch up with his wife "Min wait, don't walk too fast!" and he caught up with her and held her hand "Min, walk slowly" 

He sensed that she was angry, but why? He couldn't understand what made her mad. 

Somebody nearly bumped into Sungmin but luckily Kyuhyun pulled her in time. He wrapped his arm around her to shield her from the guy's big body, and pulled Sungmin and their shopping cart slowly towards the wall area on their left. 

Sungmin got scared and was thankful that Kyuhyun shielded her. She hugged him and buried her face on his chest. She didn't understand herself why she felt annoyed when she saw the friendly interactions between the cashier and Kyuhyun. It must be her pregnancy mood swing. 

"Heyyy you okay?" Kyuhyun asked gently. He pulled the shopping cart with one hand to be nearer towards them.  'Ohhh great, she wasn't angry anymore'  Kyuhyun smile happily in his heart. 

"I'm sorry, Kyu, I was annoyed just now" 

Kyuhyun soothed her hair lovingly "Why were you annoyed...?" 

"You and the cashier girl were so friendly with each other...." 

"Ohhh because of that...??" realisation hit him, so now he understand! "Min she was just..." 

"I know, you told me" 

Kyuhyun chuckled and held her tighter "My pregnant wife is jealous" he . "How could I go to other woman if I have the most beautiful woman in my heart? And on top of that, this beautiful woman is carrying my babies" he lifted her face and kissed her. 

Sungmin became shy because they were in public. She buried her face on his chest again. 

"Heyyy you lovebirds! Merry Christmas!!" a cheerful voice suddenly came nearer to them, making them turned their heads and Sungmin moved out from Kyuhyun's embrace. 

"Mary!!! Surprise to see you here! Merry Christmas!!" Sungmin said happily. Their library would be closed till a day after boxing day. 

Mary laughed "Hi Sungmin and Kyuhyun! Yeah, last minute shopping for Christmas presents! I took a bus here because I prefer Brisbane stuff rather than Gold Coast.  And I got one present for you!! Oh boy, luckily it was already wrapped!!" Mary said excitedly, and passed to her a paperbag. She had really bought it for Sungmin and intended to give her at their library. 

"Ohh Mary I got one for you too but it's at home!" Sungmin said with regret. 

"Ohh you don't have to, but thank you anyway. Pass to me at the library then" Mary giggled. "You two are cute you know, hugging and kissing at one corner" she teased them. 

Kyuhyun laughed "Your colleague here was jealous of me talking to the Woolworth's cashier. So I was assuring her that she was the only one in my heart" he said and playfully shouted "Ouch" because Sungmin pinched him. 

Mary laughed and said "Sungmin, how could you doubt him? All of us can see how devoted he is to you..." 

The three of them laughed, and Sungmin told Mary "Come with us, we'll give you a lift back. We are driving back to Gold Coast" 

"Ohh no need dear.  My dad will pick me up. He's working at Roma Street" she told her and her phone started ringing "Ohh he's calling. Ok, see you after boxing day Sungmin! Merry Christmas to you two!!"  Mary waved at them and turned around to answer her phone. 

Kyuhyun smilingly said "She's so bubbly. I think you are right, she's a good match for Minho"

"I thought so too, but it will be a long distant relationship if they hit it off" 

"Let's just see how it goes" Kyuhyun raised his eyebrows and smile. "Min I saw a bakery shop. You want anything for the afternoon?" 

"Ohh where, can we see what they have?" Sungmin said excitedly. 

They ended up buying whatever remaining pastries, muffins and buns at the bakery shelves because it was closing soon. Kyuhyun paid in cash and the friendly old lady owner even gave Sungmin a free cranberry loaf which was the last one on her bread shelve, after seeing Sungmin in a pregnant state. 

Sungmin was surprised and accepted it happily" Thank you very much! Merry Christmas to you! "

"Merry Christmas dear and you take care alright?!" the old lady waved at her. Another customer bought the last 2 buns and the old lady was happy that she sold everything. All the bakery items were home-baked by her and they were fresh and could last at least three days. 

Back in Gold Coast, almost every household has beautiful Christmas lights and some houses even decorated their gates with beautifully colourful lights. Kyuhyun did put up lights too at their front door and along their porch. It was beautiful and Kyuhyun took some selfies holding Sungmin, with the beautiful lights as the background, and sent the photos to their families, wishing them a Merry Christmas. 

After dinner, Kyuhyun led Sungmin to sit at their sofa and kissed Sungmin's cheek, and then gave her present to her. "Merry Christmas, my love. This is the best Christmas year for me, knowing that our babies are growing in your tummy, and having you here with me, sacrificing your musicals. I love you to the moon and back" Kyuhyun kissed her briefly and smile. "Open it..." 

"Thank you, my husband. I love you too. I have a present for you as well!" Sungmin took it from behind two sofa pillow that she had managed to hide his present. 

"Ohhh wow, when did you buy?.." 

"I made it..." Sungmin giggled. She had knitted a sweater for him on days that she was not working and was happy that she could finish it a week before Christmas. 

She opened her present and covered with surprise. Kyuhyun bought her a beautiful pair of diamond earring studs, and a silver chain with a small diamond pendant which matches the diamond ear studs. They were beautiful and she loved their design "Thank you, Kyu" she said happily and reached over to kiss his cheek. 

Kyuhyun opened up his present and was surprised that it was a knitted sweater "Woww, when did you knitted this? How come I didn't see it..." he said happily and got up to try it on. It was dark blue, long sleeves, with "Kyu" words knitted in black, at the top left chest area. "I love it Min! Thank you!!" he said, bending over to gave her a kiss. 

He removed the sweater carefully and sat down again, pulling her into his arms. How he loved this woman! He slowly let her go and soothed her pretty face lovingly "Min, I really meant what I said. Thank you for sacrificing your musicals to be with me here and being pregnant. I just couldn't describe how happy I am..." 

Sungmin smile "I'll be with you wherever you are, and I never regret coming here and leaving  the musicals. My place is here with you and being pregnant just make the situation more sweeter. I love you!" she went back into his arms. 

The whole situation was so romantic being Christmas eve, with Christmas tree and it's flickering lights, and it was a breezily cool night. Kyuhyun kissed his wife passionately with all his love and carried her to bed, continually kissing her and making beautiful love. 

Christmas day was very lively in Gold Coast. After church, a lot of families had barbecue outdoors and Sungmin felt that celebrating Christmas in a warm climate was better than in cold winter. Family members could gather for outdoor barbecue or just having fun with outdoor activities. 

Sungmin had already packed some food and drinks, and brought along a picnic mat too. They would be strolling along the beach today, and then have a picnic, just the two of them. 

She loved every minute of their life in Gold Coast. Their babies on the way, their friends would be coming in a few days time, her own parents coming in end January and Kyuhyun's parents coming in February. 

Sungmin happily put the packed foods, drinks and picnic mat on their small round table at their porch to wait for Kyuhyun, who had drove out to top up his car petrol.  But then, the sky gradually became cloudy and rain threatened to pour down any minute now....
