               The night ended as the morning sunlight appears shining its bright light into jaejoong’s bedroom. The light alone was enough to provide some warmth as jaejoong starts to stir from his sleep. He groans a bit before turning around and came face to face with Yunho sleeping next to him. His eyes widen in shock as his body froze. Yunho had his arm around him holding him close as he felt the heat of another body upon his. The heart that he shared with Yunho starts to beat faster but even so, he didn’t make any movement to escape this uncomfortable situation. Now that he thinks about it, this is the first time he had seen Yunho slept. The expression on his face was soft and peaceful and jaejoong can’t deny the fact that Yunho really do have a handsome face up close.

“I made his oath to you Jaejoong…from this day forward all of me will belong to you…use me as you please…I will protect you to the best of my abilities…no matter where you are…call my name and I’ll come to you right away…I’ll make sure you are happy and safe…”

Upon remembering these spoken words, Jaejoong felt his cheek become hot as his heart flattered like it had never before. He reaches out and pokes Yunho on the cheek before smiling. Right at this moment Yunho open his eyes startling jaejoong who end up kicking him off of the bed. Yunho ends up falling onto the ground with a loud thud unsure what just happen. Jaejoong on the other hand wasn’t planning to kick him but the minute Yunho open his eyes, he became embarrass and his feet acted before he could think.

“Why did you do that for? I thought we were good after you punch me on the face yesterday” Yunho spoke as he sat up

“T-this is something different….j-just because you save my life and we h-h-had……doesn’t mean you can sleep on the bed with me” Jaejoong tried to put up a strong front

“Tsk…I liked you better when you were in pleasure under me…”

Jaejoong threw the pillow at Yunho as it hit him on the face “D-don’t remember something like that!…in fact erase it from your memory completely!!… I only allow it because it was to save me…don’t think there will be a second time!”

Yunho stood up and yawned unaffected by Jaejoong’s outburst “yea…yea…”

He exits the room as jaejoong sat there on his bed. The minute Yunho is out of sight jaejoong’s face became bright red as he pulls the blanket over him to hide his embarrassment.

“That baster…he didn’t need to bring that part up…” he spoke to himself remembering last night when they joined. Just thinking about it made his body hot as his heart started to beat faster. To allow himself to be embraced in that manner made him felt like he had lost his position as the topper. The fact that it actually felted good made him feel even worst. It’s as if he had completely changed into someone else allowing a man to touch him. Back then whenever someone of the same looks at him with desire and tried to touch him, he will beat them up. And yet he wasn’t gross out by Yunho nor did he hate his touches.

“arrughh!! What the hell is wrong with me?!” he shouted “Wait…does this mean…that I have become gay?”

“What are you doing?” Came Yunho’s voice

Jaejoong remain under the blanket feeling like he didn’t want to see Yunho’s face “it’s none of your business…”

He could hear footsteps made its way toward him and felts Yunho climb onto the bed in front of him. From under the blanket he could see Yunho’s silhouette as it come closer. This made jaejoong’s body become even hotter as his heart beats faster and faster. He was expecting Yunho to do something like push him down but instead Yunho grab onto the blanket and yank it off of him.

“Stop playing around…we need to find out where the dragon from last night went” Yunho spoke with a serious look on his face.

For some reason this pisst Jaejoong off as he stood up and took the blanket from Yunho “If you sleep on my bed again…I’ll kill you myself…”

He storms away leaving behind a puzzled Yunho as he wonders what he did to pisst him off. Jaejoong went to the living room and spots Gummy still asleep on the sofa as she looked exhausted. He had tried convincing her to go home but she wouldn’t budge. She insisted on staying the night. He even offer her to take the bed but she refuse to take it either, saying she will take the sofa. From the look of it, she has been crying as her eyes looked a bit pink. He felted guilty because he had wanted to make sure she never shed a tear and yet he has caused her to cry far more than any of her past lovers. Last night was probably the worst he had seen her cried while holding onto him tightly as her body trembles. It took a good hour before she finally calmed down and released him.

Yunho appears in the hallway as he slips on his jacket ready to head out.

“Where are you going?” jaejoong asked

“You saw it and heard it last night didn’t you?” spoke Yunho

Jaejoong paused as he recalls seeing the shape of a dragon flying in the night sky in front of the moon. With its loud roar, it shook the whole city. Who could forget something like that?

“I thought for sure you and Yoochun were the only one left” said Jaejoong “are there more of you guys out there?”

Yunho paused a bit before answering “Maybe there is…maybe there isn’t…”

“Eh? What kind of answer is that?”

“It’s the only answer I’m going to give you…” Smirk Yunho as jaejoong shot him a glare “…I will need to find this dragon before the hunters do...”

“Do you think they will really go after it?”

“Jaejoong ah…hunter’s main purpose is dragon hunting…I highly doubt they will sit still and let this dragon be…”

Jaejoong didn’t say anything as an image of Changmin flashes before his eyes. It made him wonder what could have happen to him. For the last couple of days since that night he went to punch him, he has not seen or heard of him. To be honest, with everything that had happen, he worried about Changmin and is curious to know how he is holding up.

“Yoochun and I are going to search around to see if we can find him or her…” said Yunho

“I’ll come with you…give me a minute to change” spoke jaejoong

“What about her?” Yunho gestured to Gummy as jaejoong frowns “She is worried about you Jaejoong…if she wakes up and you disappear…she will have a heart attack and blame me even more”

“But…”

“You stay here for today and keep her company…base on what had taken place with her being kidnapped and you dearly dying…its best you don’t worry her anymore then this…”

Jaejoong made an expression of wanting to go with Yunho and not stay here but he also understood what Yunho meant.

“Alright…let me know if you guys do find anything”

Yunho smiles at jaejoong “I will…if anything were to happen….”

“Call your name and you will come running right?” Jaejoong finished his sentence

Yunho reaches over and places his hand upon jaejoong’s head “I’ll be leaving now…don’t let your guard down you hear me…that heart is as precious to you as it is to me”

“I know…” said jaejoong as he gently slaps Yunho’s hand away from his head

With that being said Yunho left the apartment as jaejoong let out a heavy sigh before turning to look at the sleeping Gummy who has yet to stir from her sleep. Yunho took to the air as he looks at the direction the dragon was spotted not too far away. In his view, for this dragon to come here to the city was unusual and alarming.

Gummy finally stir from her sleep before opening her eyes. She immediately sat up and starts to look around frantically

“Jaejoong…jaejoong…jaejoong!” she shouted calling out for him before running toward his bedroom. She opens the door and to her horror Jaejoong isn’t there nor is Yunho. She starts to panic and continues to call out to him until he came out of the bathroom fully showered.

“What’s wrong?” he asked with his hair still dripping wet as a towel hangs around his neck

Upon seeing him, Gummy let out a sigh before walking over to him and pulls him into a tight hug once more.

“Thank god…thank god…I thought…I thought I have lost you” she spoke softly

From the look of it Gummy has yet to recover from last night. Lucky he decided to stay otherwise gummy will probably have a panic attack. He returns the hug and gently pats her on the back

“Everything is alright…I’m not going anywhere…I’m perfectly fine…” jaejoong spoke to ease her mind

Suddenly his stomach growls as Gummy pulls away and smiles “You must be hungry…let me make you some breakfast…”

“You don’t need to…”

“Nonsense….a growing man needs a proper meal…”

“I’m already a grown man and I highly doubt I will grow anymore then this…”

“It doesn’t matter…you did even get to eat much yesterday before you collapsed and you slept the entire night as well…you need something to fill you up…”

Jaejoong knew he won’t be able to win this as he only sigh “Alright…”

After freshening up Gummy went to the kitchen to find something to make but frowns when there isn’t anything in the fridge or cupboard. Everything was completely empty with some items that are overdue.

“Looks like we will need to go buy groceries first…”

Jaejoong didn’t feel like it was safe to go outside buying groceries when hunters could appear at any moment. Staying here seems to be the safer choice until Yunho returns. But before he could say no, Gummy had already dragged him out the door.

“What’s wrong?” Gummy asked as she noticed him looking around uneasy while filling the shopping cart with foods.

“I-it’s nothing…” he smiled nervously

She only raises an eyebrow before returning to picking out ingredients

“You are buying a lot…just how much food are you making?” asked jaejoong as he look at the cart full of foods.

“You don’t have anything to eat in the apartment…I figure we fill the fridge and cupboard with some few items...”

“You don’t have to do that Gummy…I don’t want you wasting your hard earn money on me”

Gummy looks at jaejoong before smiling feeling like de ja vu. In the past, Jaejoong use to say this exact line to her often.

“Do you know why I work so hard…?”

“Why?”

Gummy pick up a large cabbage and smile softly “because of you…in the past I didn’t know what I wanted to do…working has become tiring and I didn’t have any motivation to do anything nor did I know what my future will be like…I live everyday just trying to get through it…I even come to dread working and was thinking of quitting….but then I meet you…you were rough all around…always getting into trouble with the law…I had to take up extra shift at work to bail you out of jail…”

“Most people will hate it…”

“Yes…but oddly enough I didn’t because it made me felt like I have a purpose….and that purpose is to take care of you…it became my motivation… my determination to work hard so you won’t have to suffer like you did…before I knew it…everything I do…every decision I make…involves you and it makes me happy”

Upon saying this Gummy flushes a little feeling like she had let a bit of her true feeling slip out.

“I admit I was a brat…but I’m a grown man now gummy…you don’t have to constantly look after me and take care of my needs…”

“That’s true…but…it will make me lonely thinking you won’t need me anymore…” she spoke before placing some more food into the cart

Jaejoong could see the sadden look upon her face as he couldn’t say anything anymore. He only let out a heavy sigh “I’m craving for some Ddeokbokki…”

Gummy’s face lights up “I’ll make that then...” she walks down the aisle to pick up some ingredients to make the dish jaejoong wanted.

After getting everything they needed, they start to head toward the register when suddenly they heard a loud sound of items being knocked down onto the ground nearby. They turn to their right and notice a few cans have fallen over. A woman who looked to be in her early 30’s is seen there being grabbed by one of the employee. From the look of it, she was trying to steal some food. The employee was not going to release her as this became a huge scene. She kept pleading for him to let go but he refuse to. She started struggling as the employee became more forceful with her. Jaejoong walks over and grabs the employee’s hand and glares at him.

“She is with me…I’ll pay for her food so let go of her otherwise I will break this arm…” he spoke

The employee became afraid of jaejoong’s glare. For one thing, he is quite well known around this neighborhood. Everyone knows of the troublesome things jaejoong does and usually try to stand clear of him. The employee finally let go of the woman as jaejoong bends down to pick up the dropped cans of food. He gently grabs the woman before taking her to where Gummy is.

Getting her out of that sticky situation was all Jaejoong wanted to do. He can’t help but feel bad for her and yet here she is in his apartment eating her can of foods with a smile on her face. After learning that she was hungry, Gummy invited her back to the apartment like the kind person she is. He picks up one of the empty can and look at it. He wonders what is so good about these foods; it smells like dog food and even look like it.

He let out a sigh “Well…at least she doesn’t look like a hunter” he thought to himself before noticing her staring at him making him feel uncomfortable “What is it?”

She only smiles at him “People say that once a person is embraced, he or she will shine brighter than before emitting an aroma of sweetness…”

Jaejoong only rose an eyebrow at her unsure what she is talking about.

Changmin once again visited his grandfather being the only one who actually shows any kind of concern over the previous head of the shim household. He brought with him a new bouquet of flowers as he enters the room.

“Good morning grandpa..,” he greeted him like usual before making his way toward the table near the bed where the flower vase sat “Today I brought you your favorite flowers…”

He laid the bouquet down before removing the old flower from the vase and tossed them into the trash. He took the vase and pour out the water in the sink before filing it with fresh water.

“You look happy?” came the voice of YongHwa who found it strange because not too long ago, whenever he visited his grandfather, he will have on a depress and distress look on his face.

“I guess you can say I’m a little excited…” Changmin spoke

“Is it because of the dragon from last night? Or is it the fact that now you have a reason to delay your hunt for the dragon bride?”

Changmin pause what he is doing thinking that YongHwa is a very sharp person who seem to be able to read a person far better than anyone else can.

“Do you really need me to answer that question?” Changmin asked as he continues with the task of putting new flowers into the vase

YongHwa only smile “probably not…I can already guess the answer…”

“Knowing my answer…are you going to distaste me? Are you going to betray me?”

“I follow only you…you are my master…whatever decision…whatever you plan to do I will obey…”

Changmin slightly turn to face YongHwa with an expression he had never seen changmin made before. His gaze alone was enough to send a chill down his spine “Even if I decided I want to destroy this bloodline?”

YongHwa hesitated a bit before answering “Yes…”

Changmin only smiles as he places a few flowers into the vase “I was just kidding… you don’t need to look so frighten YongHwa…this is my family…I wouldn’t do something that will disappoint my grandfather….”

YongHwa on the other hand felted like he wasn’t kidding. That look on his face when he spoke those words was real.

“Were you able to find anything in regards to the 3^rd dragon?” changmin asked

“Nothing yet…after the sighting, me and a few other hunters set out to chase after it…we only manage to follow the dragon till the middle of the city and it disappeared from sight….we had searched around the city, the other hunters are still scouting the ground and air but it’s as if this dragon has completely disappeared…..The dragon scales in our possession that is able to locate dragons has stop glowing as well…as of now…we have no clue where it went….but we are still searching without rest…”

Changmin was quite a bit as he thought about what the best course of action will be “Dragons has the ability to mimic their presence to match those of human in order to blend in and go undetected. Most likely this dragon has taken its human form and is hiding among us….”

“What do you want us to do?”

“Continue the search…report to me of any findings…we can’t have another dragon join them otherwise our chance of winning and obtaining the heart will be zero…going against 3 dragons will be something we can’t risk….”

“Understood…”

“YongHwa...” changmin spoke his name in a serious tone of voice “Our target is the 3^rd dragon….not the dragon bride…do you understand?”

YongHwa look at changmin a bit before lowering his head “yes…”

With that being said, YongHwa left the room as changmin places the last flower into the vase as a gentle wind blew into the room from the small open window. He lifts his gaze toward the sky with a concern look on his face unsure how everything will play out. If Jaejoong and Yunho were to get involve, obtaining the 3^rd dragon will not be easy. But at least with this, he can hold off on going after jaejoong directly.

In the meantime both Yoochun and Yunho were also out looking for the 3^rd dragon. They stood on top of a business building looking down to the people below. They have spent a few hours searching but wasn’t able to find the 3^rd dragon. Yunho still remain hopeful while Yoochun had already given up thinking that maybe the dragon had already left the city.

“We have been searching for a few hours now and still couldn’t find it….is it even still here?” ask Yoochun

“It’s here…the energy isn’t strong…it’s very faint but it’s here…dragons can only be found when they wanted to be found. If you can’t sense them then it means they are covering their presence hiding it…” Spoke Yunho as he became quiet for a moment before speaking “…You saw its scales did you not?”

Yoochun only nodded his head with a serious look on his face. Even though it was pitch black last night, he could still make out the color by the way it shines under the moonlight

“Its pure black…”

“it’s a shadow dragon….I have not seen one for many centuries after they were driven into hiding by my father….they possess great dark energy Yoochun….it’s dangerous to let a shadow dragon roam around here especially when we don’t know it’s purpose for being here….” said Yunho

“Could it be…that it sensed you?” Yoochun asked “Not long after you return, a shadow dragon arrived…it’s not a coincidence if you ask me…if I was able to sense you from far away, this dragon might have pick up your presence as well…”

“That could be one of the reasons…water and shadow never got along and only ill feeling is left after what my father did…but…” the expression on Yunho’s face changed as he felt it last night. Even if this is a shadow dragon that harbors dark energy….it’s not as strong as it should be. It was weak and seems to be fading a bit almost as if its life is coming to an end. It could be that what they are dealing with is a shadow dragon soon to descend to nirvana. As to the reason why it will come here in such a condition is unclear

“Out of all the dragons that could come here, it has to be a shadow dragon…” said Yunho

Yoochun turns his attention to Yunho who seemed to be deep in thoughts. He recalls the unbelievable encounter with Boa last night. From the look of it, she intends to appear before Yunho and cause chaos. If Yunho were to see her, what will he do? Does he still have feelings for her? Will it cause the connection between him and jaejoong to break? A lot of questions filled his mind and the more he thinks about it, the more uneasy he become. It’s still unbelievable that Boa of all people were able to obtain a golden heart, the first in history to consume one. Would it have been better to tell Yunho about her before she decided to act or should he keep it a secret and try to deal with her on his own before Yunho notices?

“neh Yunho…let’s say…if someone…someone you once knew from the past came back what would you do?”

“What kind of question is that?”

“Just answers will yah…”

“That depends….is it someone I get along with or someone I hate”

“Let’s say this person once got along very well with you but at the end he or she betrayed you…after a few years later you meet this person again, will you still hate this person? Will you forgive him or her?”

Yunho became quiet, a little confuse as to why Yoochun will suddenly ask such an odd question.

“If this person betrayed me…I can never forgive him or her…why should I waste my time with someone who didn’t want to be with me from the start…”

“What if this person was someone you…once love?”

Yunho raised a puzzling eyebrow at Yoochun who quickly spoke “N-never mind…forget I ask anything”

“Yoochun are you having some kind of love dilemma or something…?” Yunho asked

“N-not really…”

“Are you okay? You seem a little strange”

“I’m fine…nothing is wrong…” Yoochun smiled nervously

Yunho doubt that he is fine, he could tell something is troubling this fire dragon before him but he figures it best not to prey into it.

“Let’s put off our search for now…I can’t have jaejoong out of my sight for too long…”

Yoochun grin “are you that worry about him?”

“Jaejoong has the habit of not listening nor is he aware of the danger that surrounds him…he believes that his strength alone is enough to protect him…and that habit is what I fear will get him in trouble if I’m not there to protect him…”

“That is true…after you two getting it on all hot and steamy last night; I wouldn’t blame you for worrying even more now that you have completed the ritual…”

Yunho became quiet as he lower his gaze making Yoochun wonder if the last night wasn’t good enough or if something else had happen.

“What’s wrong?” he asked

“Even if that was the last option…I shouldn’t have done it…”

“So you regret saving his life?”

“That isn’t it…to embrace one another in that manner involve loves and affection for one another…”

Yoochun sigh “what are you a girl? If you didn’t do it, he would have died especially when we lost the blood hydrangea…was jaejoong upset with you or something?”

Yunho paused as he remembers those words spoken to him by his bride...

“…you are now stuck with me so you better take responsibility…no matter how angry I make you…you won’t be able to part way with me Yunho…I am no saint…I am a curse that will drive you mad so I hope you are prepare…”

Upon remembering this, Yunho’s lip curves into a smile causing Yoochun to raise an eyebrow.

“He wasn’t upset in fact…he made it clear that he is going to make my life a living hell where I cannot escape him no matter how much I try…”

Yoochun couldn’t explain why but hearing this from Yunho with a soften smile irritated him.

“Really now? How great, I’m happy for you…” he spoke sarcastically before stepping on the edge of the building “well…I won’t keep you from returning to your loving bride…”

“Yoochun…” Yunho called to him with a serious look on his face “even if this is a shadow dragon…even if it will become our enemy…we can’t allow it to fall into the hands of hunters…we have to find it first...”

“I know…” said Yoochun as he flew away.

Yunho stood there on the rooftop as a gentle breeze blew pass causing his hair to sway back and forth. He can’t help but wonder where a dragon close to death could be hiding in this city. Just what exactly is it looking for?

In the meantime, the food has been made as Gummy finished setting up the table. All three of them started to eat while smiling and having a good conversation in between. Jaejoong only look at the guest who continues to chow down the food in surprise. For one thing, she had just finished 4 cans of food and now she is eating again making him wonder where all the foods go. He hasn’t even finish his first bowl of rice and she is already on her 3^rd. To make matter worst, she had hogged most of the foods that Gummy spent a great amount of time making just for him.

“Can I please have seconds?!” the woman spoke loudly

“You must have a black hole for a stomach” spoke jaejoong as Gummy kicked his leg under the table causing him a groan.

“Don’t mind him…he tends to speak without thinking…I’ll go and get you some more rice” smile Gummy as she took the small bowl from the woman before standing up and headed toward the kitchen.

The woman turn to jaejoong “It just crossed my mind that I haven’t properly thanked you for what you did for me earlier” she spoke with a gentle smile “I really am grateful for your assistance and you even invited me to eat with you”

“Don’t worry about it…” said Jaejoong as he return to eating his food

“I must admit…I have been in that kind of situation quite often…” she chuckled as if this wasn’t anything serious while jaejoong only give her look as if to say he isn’t surprise by this fact “Most people ignore others who needed help no matter if you are a woman, a man or a child…they don’t want to get involved in something they deemed as troublesome or they are afraid of what the consequence might be…everyone hesitate to put themselves in a situation where they will become the center of attention…” She spoke before placing a piece of meat into “but you…you are different…you did not hesitate nor do you shy yourself away from troublesome situation…”

Jaejoong could only grin “that’s because I’m troublesome myself…”

“I could tell by the way that employee seems to shiver under your intense glare and the way those people in the store was whispering …to me you looked like a beautiful bloomed flower and yet possess lot of deadly thorns that made people stand clear of you….they could only gaze from a far but could never touch…however when someone is determine to approach you and isn’t afraid of the thorns you hope will prick them, they end up coming to understand that you are just a lonely flowers wishing to be love and return that same amount of love…. But be careful…the love you think you found might end up breaking you completely right where it gave you life…” she smiled at Jaejoong in a way that made him feel uncomfortable. It’s as if she can see right into him with those piercing brown eyes. Something about her didn’t seem right to him as he started to get this feeling like maybe he had just let in someone dangerous.

Jaejoong look at her strangely “Who…are you?”

The woman looks directly at jaejoong as she continues to smile at him

“Here you go” spoke Gummy as she return with a new bowl of rice as the woman’s face light up brightly eating away at the food like a child ignoring the question.

Gummy turn to face jaejoong and notice his face became a bit pale and strange “are you okay?” she asked

Jaejoong only smiled at her “I’m fine…”

“You are a bit pale” spoke the woman across from him as she placed a few vegetables into his plate “You need to eat some green; it will help you restore your body…you will need to be at your best after all…”

She spoke the last few words as if it was a warning that something is going to happen making him feel uneasy.

While the other hunters were out searching for the 3^rd dragon, Yonghwa had left his position and reported to ByungChul of what is happening. He made sure not to leave out the part where Changmin mention about destroying the Shim bloodline. Even though he said it as a joke, YongHwa could tell there was some truth to it. ByungChul however didn’t seem to be surprise.

“Rather the young master could kill his friend as he stated or not is something we will have to wait and see…” spoke ByunChul “It’ll even be interesting to see how he will destroy the powerful bloodline…”

“I…think I might be under estimating him…” Spoke YongHwa “when I was assigned to him to protect him from the shadow, he was an innocent and pure child showered with endless affection…he was kind and gentle toward everyone…even as he became an adult, he was still the same. He couldn’t even hurt a fly….he always made sure to do the right thing and never do any wrong doing or disrespect anyone…he even come across as a coward but…” he paused as he recall that look on changmin’s face “but…I have a feeling that behind all of that goodness lies an evil that has yet to surface….”

“Don’t tell me you are afraid of him now?” spoke ByungChul

YongHwa didn’t answer as ByungChul spoke “maybe you will feel better having a partner to work with”

“What do you mean?”

There was a knock upon the door as he smiles. The door open as MinSeok steps into the room surprising YongHwa and Standing right behind him is none other than Boa.
