After the fire has cleared and smokes have faded, the police officers and firefighters were able to enter the area hoping to help anyone who was trapped within the flames. When they walked into the area they were in complete shock. Buildings were destroyed, street lights and trees were broken in half and holes were on the street. This place didn’t look like it was burnt by ragging flames but it looked like an epic battle took place here.

“My goodness….this will not be easy to clean” spoke one of the officers

“Is this really cause by the explosion?” asked another

They begins to look around the place to see if there was anyone trapped inside these fallen building. No matter where they looked, no one was found waiting for help. One of the fire fighters end up stepping on something as he pause upon the sound of a small object breaking from his weight. He steps back and bends down to look at the object and notice it was a broken amulet.

Jaejoong and Changmin were walking down the street and further away from the scene. They can still hear the sound of sirens heading that direction.

“Did the fight ended?” changmin asked as he glance to the direction they came from wondering what has become of the two dragons.

Jaejoong didn’t say anything as he begins to get this heavy feeling slowly surfacing from within him. It was like something is stuck there and no matter what he does, it wouldn’t disappear. He placed his hand over his heart where the heavy feeling was the strongest. It was hard for him to breathe normally making him short of breath. He closed his eyes and an image of Yunho flashed before them. This jolted something in him as he stops walking.

“I…I have to go back…” spoke jaejoong

“What do you mean go back? It’s dangerous” said changmin

Jaejoong turn to look at changmin with a frantic expression worrying about the dragon who fought for his life. This was a surprise to changmin who is used to seeing a calm and well collected jaejoong no matter the situation. He had known jaejoong for a very long time and had spent a lot of time with this beautiful man. He had seen him fight with smile on his face, seen him turn his back on people who fought next to him and unfazed at the sight of knife or gun pointed to him. In fact jaejoong didn’t even as much as flinch or worried about the people in his circle of friends that are getting beaten up. To see him suddenly made this expression made changmin speechless. In a way it kind of irritated him knowing very well that this sudden change must be due to Yunho.

“You can’t” spoke changmin “I won’t allow you to go back”

Jaejoong only turn around and took a step before changmin reached out and gripped his arm tightly “I won’t let you go” he spoke again

“Let me go changmin…this was my fault…I didn’t listen to his warning…I didn’t take him seriously…it isn’t right for him to take upon the responsibility that should have been mine…”

“And what can you possible do? You are a human jaejoong…your opponent is a fire dragon who can easily crush you…”

Jaejoong didn’t say anything as he tries to yank his arm away from changmin who only grips it tighter to insure this beautiful man can’t escape him.

“This is a fight between dragons…it isn’t something for human to interfere…” said changmin

“Are you trying to say that I am weak?” jaejoong glared

“You are not weak! You are strong…possibly the strongest person I know…however you should also know that you can’t win against a dragon…it’s impossible!”

Jaejoong pause as he lower his gaze and look away from changmin “let me go…” he spoke

“No…” changmin responded without hesitation.

Jaejoong clenched his fist tightly in anger. He knows that changmin is right however this heavy feeling inside him won’t go away. It was driving him mad as if it’s constantly telling him how weak he is for leaving a wounded person behind to fight. The more he thinks about it the heavier this feeling become.

“Let go of me!” jaejoong snapped

“No!” changmin responded

This was fueling jaejoong’s anger as he forcefully yanks his arm away from changmin and end up pushing him. Changmin stumbles a bit before losing his balance and fall. He groans a bit as his injured leg banged on the concrete floor. Upon noticing what he had done jaejoong’s expression soften with guilt

“S-sorry…” he apologizes

“Why…” changmin asked “why must you put yourself in danger for him? Did you forget what he did to you? He almost killed you in the beginning? He had his hand inside you ready to rip out your heart”

Jaejoong pause as he too wonder what the answer is to that question because even he isn’t sure why. He usually doesn’t care for these things or for others in that matter and yet right now all he can think about is helping Yunho. Could this be his guilty conscience that is at work for running away? If so it’s doing a very good job.

“Sorry changmin ah…” spoke jaejoong softly as he turns around and started running back the way they came from.

“Yah jaejoong ah!!!” Changmin shouted

He stood up hoping to catch his friend but the minute he got to his feet someone appear right before him blocking his path. This person was dressed in an eerie black cloak with a symbol on the back graced in gold color. The identity of this person was hidden under the shadows of the hood that has been pulled over his head. Changmin only looks strangely at this person before him

“W-who are you?” he asked

“I have been order to come fetch you Young master” the man before him spoke in a deep and husky voice as he shows respect to changmin.

“Are you…by chance sent here by my grandfather?”

The other man nodded his head as changmin let out a frustrated sigh “Tell him I’ll return when I want to…I have something more urgent to take care of”

He limps pass the other guy but was stopped “It seem you don’t understand that this is more urgent than anything else…”

“I don’t care!” snap changmin who only wanted to get to jaejoong

“Please don’t make this hard for me young master…if you don’t return with me, the one in trouble will be me and I really hate to disappoint your grandfather…”

“Too bad…I don’t care for the fact that you will get in trouble…”

The other man only sigh finding changmin hard to reason with. He was given orders to bring changmin home and he intends to do it one way or another.

“I hope you will forgive me…” he spoke

Before changmin could say or do anything he felt a sudden hit at the back of his neck knocking him unconscious as the other guy caught his body.

“This wouldn’t count as an injury would it?” he wonders remembering the order of bringing changmin home unharmed.

As soon as jaejoong turn the corner to where the fight had taken place he spotted the place flooded with police officers as he quickly hide behind the wall and peeks at the corner. From the look of it the fight had already ended as he glance around but did not see Yunho or Yoochun.

“Did they left already?” he wondered

He pulls his shirt and look at the flower symbol on his chest, it wasn’t glowing nor was he feeling any pain. However that heavy feeling still remain as if something is not right or that something bad has happen to the dragon he is bond to. Jaejoong continued to peek from around the corner looking at the scene before him and now that he got a closer look, the damages are unbelievable. After a few minutes he figures it’s best to leave before he get caught and arrested as a suspect. With all the crimes he had done, for sure they will not hesitate to arrest and trial him.

Jaejoong took a step back and ends up stepping on broken glass as the sound attracted the attention of one of the nearby officers. He cursed for his carelessness as the officer started to walk over to where he is hiding.

“Who is there?” the officer asked as he got closer and closer

“I gotta get out of here” thought jaejoong when suddenly a hand reached out from behind covering his mouth taking him by surprise.

The officer finally turns the corner and flashed his light to where jaejoong is but there wasn’t anyone there. He only scratched the back of his head wondering if he was hearing things.

Not too far away a yellow taxi pulled out of the nearby street and drove away from the scene. Inside is Junsu with his arm crossed and jaejoong.

“Aren’t you the guy that was with changmin the other day?” jaejoong asked

“My name is Kim Junsu…” junsu introduced himself

“Junsu?” jaejoong begin to think and wonder where he had heard that name before when it finally clicks “Ah! You…your changmin’s half-brother”

Junsu only glanced at jaejoong “Let me guess changmin spoke to you about me…”

“Pretty much…”

“He must have told you all the horrible things I have done to him….”

“Yes he did but I think there were more good than bad…rather I care to listen or not he constantly talk about his half-brother living in the US….I swear the only things that comes out of his mouth is dragon tales and you…”

Junsu was quiet as he felt a bit happy knowing that changmin has spoken well about him to others even though he feel guilty for mistreating him when they were little. Junsu will always give him the cold shoulder or act like a bully ruining the things changmin love out of jealousy. Junsu glanced at jaejoong from his hair to the way he dress and the tattoos on his arms. No matter how he looks at it jaejoong looked like a delinquent. From the first time changmin pointed jaejoong out, he had thought of the same thing as well. Just how did a young master raised in a good home end up befriending someone like jaejoong?

“Where is changmin?” Junsu asked

Jaejoong remember knocking changmin down on the ground and left him behind “I’m not sure…maybe he went home…”

Junsu only stares at him doubtfully making him uncomfortable.

“By the way…thank you for helping me…”

“I didn’t do it for you…I thought changmin might be there but instead I saw you….I knew you were his friend so I end up troubling myself…”

“Sorry to have troubled you” jaejoong spoke sarcastically

“It’s also because I have some questions I need you to answer…” Junsu spoke in a serious tone of voice that even made jaejoong speechless.

As night turn into day changmin open his eyes and slowly set up wondering what happen. It wasn’t until he notice the change of clothes and the bed did he realize he is back in the room he usually sleep in at his grandfather’s house. He quickly looks around and wonders how he got here. He remembers the strange guy in the black cloak before removing the covers and storm out of the room.

“Grandpa!” changmin shouted until he found his grandfather in the middle of eating breakfast

“Good morning changmin…I hope you slept well”

Changmin only glared at him before walking over and slamming his hand upon the table “why did you do it?! I didn’t want to come back…I had something more important to take care of…don’t treat me like a child that needs to be told when to go home and come fetch me when you want to!”

His grandfather was calm unfazed by changmin’s anger as he drink his coffee “It’s too early in the morning…I am in a good mood too so please sit and we can discuss this later”

“screw that!” snap changmin as he turn around “I’m leaving…”

He only took a few steps before his grandfather spoke “If you walk out of this house I can’t guarantee your friend’s safety”

This causes changmin to pause as he looks at this grandfather. He remember what Yunho had said to him about how he is born to a bloodline bath in dragon blood and how he will slay the dragon and take jaejoong’s heart. He also thought about what his grandfather had told him about their true family history about them being dragon slayers.

“Let me ask you a question grandpa…”

“Go right ahead…”

“Are you really planning to kill the dragon and take the dragon bride’s heart?”

“now that is an idiotic question…isn’t it obviously enough that is what I intend to do”

“What if I ask you not to do it? What if you let them go and pretend they never existed?”

His grandfather was quiet as he set his cup of coffee down “I won’t be able to do that”

“And why not?”

“It is in our blood to hunt them…”

“But it is our choice to go after them! Our blood does not define our action grandpa…the things we do are choices that we freely make….”

“enough…I will not discuss this…come and eat your breakfast”

“I will not” changmin spoke in a serious tone of voice “Although I don’t like that dragon very much I can’t kill him…jaejoong may be the dragon bride but he is my friend first…I will not betrayed him”

“and you are choosing to betrayed me?” his grandfather glared at him as he stiffens “I raised you…I shower you with love when your parents are too busy…I gave you whatever you want and help fulfill all your goals and dreams…and yet at the end you will stand up against me?”

Changmin wouldn’t look at his grandfather’s fury eyes as he lower his gaze and struggled to speak

“I am your family…I am your grandfather…I am the head of the Shim household…through my blood and sweats I made this family strong and powerful…you should be thankful…”

“I am thankful…I love you grandpa…but I also love jaejoong….he is the only one who befriended me…who didn’t care for my status or that I came from a rich family…he didn’t care about any of them…all he care about what that I was true to him…at the thought of…going after him for his heart isn’t right…it’s sickening…it’s not something people usually do…”

His grandfather slammed his hand upon the table very hard as the plates on the table shook causing changmin to close his mouth.

“enough!…if you do not want to eat then return to your room until I say so you are not allow to leave…”

“but…”

“GO!!” the grandfather shouted before he started to cough endlessly

Changmin noticed the color of his grandfather’s skin become pale with an expression of pain. This was unusual as he grew worried

“Grandpa…what’s wrong?!” changmin asked as he quickly rushed to his grandfather’s aid. The head butler came into the room with medication and a cup of water as he took care of his master. Changmin only stood there and watched with a worried expression. From the look of it his grandfather seems to be going through a lot of pain, even his breathing was not normal. After a few minutes his grandfather finally calmed but was exhausted as he return to his room with the aid of someone else.

Changmin was left in the dining room along with the head butler who started to clean the table.

“I have never seen grandfather like that before” spoke changmin with a bit of fear “What…is wrong with him?”

“He is getting old young master…he isn’t as healthy as he used to be…his health is declining rapidly…I fear that he might not have much time left…”

Changmin snapped his head toward the butler with a deadly glare “Don’t you ever say that again you hear me!”

“Y-yes sir…m-my apologizes!”

The butler quickly exits the room as changmin stood there before falling to sit at a chair behind him. He was torn before but he felt like he is even more torn now knowing that his grandfather is becoming ill.

“Your grandfather love you very much” came the familiar voice as changmin recognize it as the same man as last night “he spoke fondly of you and treasure you…don’t think that he is doing all of this because he wanted to…he is doing all of this for your sake…”

“How is hunting my best friend for my sake?” changmin asked

“he knew you will be alone when he is gone…he didn’t want you to go through not having anyone at your side….he only wanted to spend the rest of his life with you…to watch you grow more…to see your family and see your future come to life….he knew he didn’t have much time left in this world…it kills him to know that he won’t even be there to greet his first grandchild…you can’t think badly of an old man who only wishes to live longer in order to be with his grandchildren..”

Changmin became quiet unsure of what to say or what to think. He was determined to stand against his grandfather, he was ready to fight for jaejoong but now he isn’t sure what he should do. It’s like no matter which choice he makes, someone every important to him will disappear.

“It was either we take it or someone else will…”

Upon the mention of others changmin turn his gaze toward the other man “someone else? What do you mean?”

“It seems your grandfather has yet to tell you everything….” Spoke the other guy “as you may already know the shim family comes from a long line of dragon slayers…this house is the main house…you were born into the main family but there are sub families who also share the same bloodline…other branches to this household will also seek the heart…if others were to know that a dragon bride has appear after centuries of nothing…they too will mobilize and the fight will truly begin…if you truly love your friend then I suggest you take him first or he will be ripped apart by others”

Rather than returning to his room as he had stated, the grandfather made a detour down the hallway toward the forbidden wing. When he got to the entrance another individual wearing the same black cloak greeted him with a respectful bow.

“Are they restrained?”

“Yes…the fire dragon is still out cold but he is alive…”

“And the other one?”

“He is awake and showing resistance however he is perfectly restrain from doing any harm”

The grandfather smiled before entering the room. Inside are 4 other individuals dressed in black cloak. To the right side of the room is a steel cage and inside is the pass out Yoochun. From the look of it, the cage is being protected by a special charm to prevent the dragon from escaping or using his power. In the middle of the room is Yunho who is on his knee. Both of his arms are chained apart of each other as a separate chain connects to the metal neck brace keeping him in place. Charms were also placed upon the chains preventing him from using his power. From the look of it he seems exhausted not having that much energy to put up a fight.

“After so many centuries…I finally get to lay my eyes upon a dragon…” spoke the grandfather as he moved closer to Yunho “never in my wildest dream that the legendary dragon of the blue will grace me with his appearance…”

“I didn’t grace you…” glare Yunho

“It doesn’t matter…what matters is that you are in my hand…rather you live or join your friend up there is up to me”

Yunho slightly look up and notice the head of the dragon plastered onto the wall like a decoration and this pisst him off. What is even more upsetting is that fact that Yunho recognize who that dragon is.

“What is it that you want from me human?”

“I don’t want anything from you” the grandfather spoke “in fact I should be thankful of you…I thought for sure I’ll just die away like my father and my grandfather and so on without having a chance to extend my life….but now…thanks to you…a dragon bride has been chosen….my chance to live forever came to me at the right moment…”

Yunho only glared at the grandfather with anger as he tried to move his hand but the chain wouldn’t snap. It tightly gripped around his hand holding him in place.

“If you as much as touch one hair on him, I will kill you!” glare Yunho

The grandfather wasn’t afraid “you are in no position to make threat dear dragon…your life is in my hand as well as your friend there and the bride you desperately want to protect…in fact I can just kill you right here right now if I wishes to and you won’t be able to do a thing….however you aren’t my target…you are however my bait….just stay here quietly and wait for your bride to come rescue you” he smiled before turning around

The grandfather exited the room as the door closed behind him. He turns to the man guarding the door with a serious look on his face.

“Don’t allow anyone inside…especially that idiot grandson of mine”

“Yes sir”

“How about Junsu? Any news about him?”

“Not yet, it seems like he didn’t leave Korea yet. He was not found at the airport nor was a ticket purchased by him…”

“That is not a good enough answer…find him and bring him to me” the grandfather glared with disappointment

“Very well…”

Hyun Joon the owner of the place Jaejoong and Yunho was staying at knocked upon the door. After a few attempts there was no answer. Just when he though the pair wasn’t home he turn around but then heard the door lock being unlock as it slowly opens.

“Yah jaejoong ah…you could have responded the first time I knock on the door…” he spoke but then paused because it wasn’t jaejoong who answered the door but it was a man he didn’t recognize.

“who…who are you?” Hyun joon asked

Junsu yawned remembering last night’s decision. He had wanted to go to some place quiet to hide and talk. He didn’t want to his grandfather to catch him but while he was thinking about a good place to hide jaejoong suggested this place. Junsu admit that this is a good hiding place however when they got here jaejoong show no sign of wanting to talk. He had made Junsu instruct the taxi driver to stop by the convenient store and bought some beer. He then started drinking with his mind elsewhere until he passed out.

“Do you have some business here?” Junsu asked

“huh?! This is my place…I own this building…where is jaejoong?” Hyun Joon asked

“He is sleeping…come back later”

With that being said Junsu slammed the door shut in Hyun Joon’s face. He turns to where jaejoong is sleeping on the ground before kicking him to wake him up. Jaejoong stir in his sleep before forcing his body to sit as he groaned from the morning light.

“We need to talk” said Junsu

“Can’t we do that later?” he spoke still half asleep

“Just so you know my patient isn’t as good as changmin…”

Jaejoong look at junsu before sighing “What do you want to know?”

“How are you involved with those two?”

Jaejoong yawn “what two?”

“The guy who shoot fire and the other guy who shoots water…are they…really dragons?” Junsu asked

“If you want to know why don’t you ask changmin?”

“I want to ask you because from the look of it, you are directly involve with them more then Changmin is”

Once again jaejoong became quiet for a moment before speaking “and what if they are? will you even believe me?”

“I believe you…”

“Really now? You don’t look like the type to believe these things?”

“I saw enough to believe it....or more like I have heard enough stories during my childhood to put pieces together…but what I really want to know is how you are involved with them?”

Jaejoong became quiet, not wanting to answer that question. For one thing if changmin is a dragon slayer, then that only means Junsu is also one. If he were to expose the truth, Junsu will for sure come after him.

“Well?”

“That’s a secret” smile jaejoong as this only irritated Junsu

“A secret huh? Well that’s fine…I know plenty of way to make people spill their deepest darkest secret” smirk Junsu

“Why do you even care anyway?”

“because you are changmin’s friend…changmin is my little brother…and he seems to like you very much…I want to make sure he isn’t getting himself involve in dangerous situation…if what I experience the other day is your daily routine then I will forbid him from being near you…”

“Believe me this isn’t my daily routine…”

“Then what is your daily routine…”

“let’s see…alcohol….smoke…work…blood…fight…get arrested…get bail out…and more fighting…more bloodshed…run away from the police……”

Junsu only look at him in disbelief “my goodness you are a mix of everything bad aren’t you? Just what did your parent teach you?”

Jaejoong didn’t say anything as he lower his gaze. Base on the expression on his face, Junsu felt like he had stepped on a sensitive topic. This only reminded jaejoong of that day, that raining dark day when his parent was swallowed by the sea.

“That’s the thing…I didn’t have any…none to scold me…none to teach me…none to hold me and comfort me…I’m what society call an orphan” jaejoong smiled

“S-sorry…”

“No need to apologize…it’s not like you know anyway…”

Both Junsu and jaejoong became quiet and neither of them spoke a word. The atmosphere became awkward as junsu isn’t sure what to say.

“Look…I’ll be honest with you…the situation I am in now is dangerous…I’m not sure how dangerous it is going to get but if you want to keep changmin away then do it…I won’t hate you for it…in fact I will thank you for it…”

Junsu stood there and thought about the fight he saw between Yoochun and Yunho. From the look of it, it seems like Yunho was defending jaejoong. He also remembers seeing something glow upon jaejoong’s chest.

“For a long time now I have heard stories about dragons…as well as dragon bride…”

Upon this jaejoong stiffens

“to pass time I read about every book in my grandfather’s library…probably far more then what changmin had read…I recall reading something about dragon brides…the bearer of half a dragon’s heart…”

Jaejoong quickly stood up “w-will you look at the time…I need to get to work”

“it is said that a dragon chose their bride and offer half their heart as proof as well as a symbol…when the dragon needed more strength to fight or when the bride is in trouble, the symbol will glow…” junsu continue to speak out loud “that day…there was a light coming from your chest…you looked to be in pain and that water dragon was helping you….at the end he even took you with him after the fight ended…if I put everything I have seen and know…” junsu paused as he started to think

Jaejoong on the other hand didn’t want to hear it as he tried to make his escape but Junsu caught his arm with a serious look on his face “you…you are the dragon bride aren’t you?!”

Jaejoong was taken aback but he quickly deny it “Of course not…that’s impossible…I’m a guy”

“You can’t like to me…”said Junsu “My grandfather told me that my family are dragon slayers…our ancestors has hunt dragons and their bride for centuries…I’m half a slayer...but changmin is a full blood slayer…” spoke junsu when it finally clicks “that means…the one they will be hunting is you…changmin will end up hunting you whom he care a lot about?”

“I…don’t know what you are talking about” said jaejoong as he removes Junsu’s hand from his arm

“You know exactly what I am talking about!”

“Look…why does it matter to you anyway rather I am the bride or not? If am, are you going to kill me? Are you going to rip out my heart?”

This made Junsu angry as he grabbed Jaejoong by the collar of his shirt and slams him against the wall with an angry expression.

“I don’t give an about you being the bride! What I care about is my little brother who will have to go through hell because the person he adores will be the person he will have to kill if my grandfather forced him to! What I care about is him!”

“Then the one you will have to stop is your grandfather” said jaejoong

Junsu became quiet because jaejoong does have a point. At the end it will be his crazy grandfather who will turn his grandson into a murderer, a betrayer of friendship. He let out a heavy sigh before letting jaejoong go. He can’t help but think how cruel fate is to bring these two together only to put them against each other in the future.

Gummy arrived at jaejoong’s apartment and knocked upon the door. She knocked a few times but didn’t receive any answer. She tried calling him again but was not able to connect to him. This reminded her of the few days where he completely disappear without a word. It made her feel uneasy wondering what kind of trouble he had gotten himself into. She took out her phone and tried to call him once more but didn’t receive a response. This was starting to get on her nerve being forced to worry about him. The fact that he never listens to her and always does what he wants scares her not knowing when she will received a phone call about his death. Gummy let out a heavy sigh before turning away from the door and begin to walk down the hallway.

“Just where did that guy go?” she wondered

Suddenly her phone started to ring, she quickly answer it without even looking at the caller ID “jaejoong ah!?”

“It’s me Mina…” came a female voice

Gummy sigh in disappointment

“You didn’t meet him?” the woman name Mina asked

“No…it looks like he isn’t home…”

“I really don’t get you Gummy…He is nothing but a trouble maker…a delinquent who doesn’t even deserve your care and yet you are worrying so much about him…isn’t it best to just forget about him? Someone like you should not associate with someone like him…it will ruin your reputation…”

“I know me and jaejoong are the opposite…he may like to make trouble and believe me he has caused me countless headache and frustration but…I don’t have anyone else…he is similar to me…not having a parent…not having anyone to call family…he is all I have…”

“But…he doesn’t even seem like he care about you…”

Gummy only smiled “That is where you are wrong…jaejoong may act that way but he really does care about me…you and everyone just haven’t been able to get to know him to see him for who he really is…when I am sad…angry….depress…he will be there to comfort me in his own special way…”

She continues to talk about jaejoong and the good thing he has done toward her.

“Gummy…from everything you had said to me, it sounded like you aren’t interested in him as a brother but as lover?”

Gummy immediately flushed red ‘T-that’s impossible! You…you are wrong!”

Mina chuckled “I can tell your face is red….you are attracted to him aren’t you? Be honest”

Gummy was quiet as she felt her cheek started to become hot “I’m…not going to tell you”

“eeehhhh…we have been friends for so long and you aren’t tell me the truth? Those kinds of hurt my feeling….but your taste in man is horrible”

At this point Gummy was starting to get annoy “look Mina…you are my best friend but if you continue to talk badly about him I will not hesitate to cut you off…”

Mina sigh “you say you aren’t attracted to him in that way and yet you are willing to screw over a friend for a guy….fine…I won’t say anymore…when are you coming in for your shift?”

Gummy turn to look at the door to jaejoong’s apartment “I’m coming right now…”

Changmin found himself locked in the bedroom as the place is heavily guarded. It wasn’t only this bedroom that is guarded but from the look of it, his grandfather seems to have more guards out and around than usual. It’s as if something big is going down and he wanted to make sure the entire place is well protected. He highly doubts that the increase in security is to make sure he doesn’t escape. With this injure leg of his; it only takes 1 or 2 guards to stop him. Changmin stood by the window and look outside. He could see guards walking back and forth making him more carious.

“Looks like you have yet to touch your lunch” came the familiar voice as changmin turn to face the young man wearing the black cloak that he spoke to earlier this morning

“I have been wondering this…just who exactly are you? You don’t seem like the normal guards my grandfather hires”

“That’s because I am not like them…”

“Then what are you?”

“I am merely a shadow…”

“What does that mean?”

“It means I am part of a group that does not exist who doesn’t have any written records of being born…we live in the shadows…we move in the shadows and only does task that is instructed by your grandfather…” the young man spoke “You may not remember but we have meet once when you were still a young child…running around the place…playing hide and seek throwing the entire house in a panic…”

Changmin started to think as he vividly remember doing that when he was younger. In fact now that he thinks about it, there was a day where he had wondered to the forbidden wing to hide but he end up getting lost. He was crying but there wasn’t anyone there. A minute later he heard a voice and spotted a young boy possible 15 year of age coming to his rescue and took him back to where he should be.

“I still don’t understand why my grandfather will have your guys…these guards he have now is already strong and trust worthy…”

“You see young master…they are hires to protect and guard this place…we on the other hand handles something very different…”

“And that is?”

“Assisting in the dragon hunt…”

Changmin’s eyes widen in shock as he became speechless

“Those people have no clue that dragon exist nor are they aware of your family’s true background…we on the other hand has been part of the shim’s shadows for many centuries…my family has worked for your family for as long as I can remember…with the passing of my father…I took his place and was entrusted to be your shadow…however I was to remain hidden…I am not to involve in your personal life other then make sure you don’t get into trouble...”

“Your name…what is your name?”

The young man smile before pulling down his hood and bow to Changmin “My name is Jung YongHwa…”

Changmin look at him and notice he has quiet the handsome look. He seems normal enough however the look in his eyes clearly paint a picture of someone who had gone through intense training. He wondered just how long has this man been watching him and yet he didn’t even notice.

“You say you were entrusted to be my shadow…does that mean you are to listen to my commands?”

“Yes…however I cannot help you escape from here…even though I am your shadow…your grandfather is the only one I cannot disobey or betray…”

Changmin look at outside and see more guards walking about “What is my grandfather planning?”

YongHwa seems hesitant but none the less he spoke “he is preparing…”

“Preparing? For what?”

“The arrival of the dragon bride…”

For the entire day jaejoong has yet to step out of the small room. He kept looking outside and pacing back and forth every now and then. From the look of it, it seems like he is waiting for someone but is disappointment more and more as every hour passed. Junsu is sitting on the ground by the small table eating some food that he had bought earlier from the nearby convenient store. For hours he had watched this beautiful man pace back and forth before looking out the window and touches his chest. To be honest this was starting to annoy Junsu as he couldn’t even enjoy his food. To think that the guy he saves and pick up will end up being a dragon bride. As much as he wanted to stay out of trouble, he ends up picking up the most troublesome thing on the street.

“The food is getting cold…come and eat”

“I don’t understand…” spoke jaejoong

“Don’t understand what?” Junsu asked as he ate his food

“Dragon and the dragon bride are connected right? The dragon is able to locate his bride so should the bride also be able to locate the dragon?”

“That is the truth…”

“Then why couldn’t I find him? I can’t even sense him…”

“Find who?”

“Santa Claus…I’m trying to find Santa Claus…” jaejoong rolled his eyes

Junsu finish eating his food before setting his chop sticks down and drink some water “If I remember correctly that should be the case…no matter where the dragon or the bride is, they should be able to sense each other and find each other base on the connection of sharing a heart….but it is said that if the dragon and his bride has yet to connect than that connection isn’t strong enough to go both ways…”

“Connect? What do you mean by that?”

Junsu made a circle with one hand and with the other hand he point out his index finger before sliding it into the whole with a grin “this kind of connection”

“What?! No!! That’s…that’s sick!” jaejoong shouted as his face flushed bright red

“Then you won’t be able to find your dragon…only he can find you…”

Jaejoong let out a frustrated shout

“Once the dragon and the bride are connected…the connection between them becomes stronger…you’ll be surprise of what you are able to do after doing that with your dragon…”

“Don’t…don’t even talk about it…just imagining it make me sick…there is no way and I mean no way in hell am I going to offer my just to have a stronger connection…I am not an outlet…”

“Then you mind as well just sit your down and wait for him to find you…”

Jaejoong clenched his teeth in frustration. As much as he wanted to wait, he only becomes more impatient by the hours. Even if he can’t sense Yunho and find him, by now Yunho should have been able to find him. What could be taking Yunho so long to return? Could it be that he is badly injured somewhere out there and is unable to move? Or worst could it be that he lost the fight and has died? Upon this thought jaejoong shook his head

“No…if he died…for sure I’ll know…” thought jaejoong as he touched his chest where the symbol lies. It’s hard to explain it but he gets this feeling inside which is assuring him that the dragon he is bond to is still breathing. But then there is this heavy feeling that has yet to disappear telling him that something has happen.

Suddenly the room is filled with a soft ring tone. Both Junsu and jaejoong only look at each other waiting for the other person to answer their phone. Jaejoong knew it wasn’t him because his phone was crushed by Yunho and Junsu know it wasn’t him because while he was trying to escape he forgot it back at the hotel.

“Hello?” came a voice from the other side of the door

Jaejoong recognize the voice as he walked over and opened the door to reveal a startled Hyun Joon in the middle of a call

“What are you doing?” jaejoong asked

“S-sorry…I thought you might be hungry…” said Hyun Joon as he held up the bag of food not realizing that Junsu had already bought some.

“Hey…can I use your phone” came Junsu’s voice

“y-yea…sure…” Hyun Joon handed the phone to Junsu who took it and stepped away.

“Is he…your friend?” Hyun Joon asked

“Not really friend…more like the older brother of a friend of mine…”

“is he going to stay here too?”

“Who knows…”

Hyun Joon look around the room from the entrance way but did not see Yunho “where is the other guy?”

“Other guy?” jaejoong raised one of his eyebrows

“Yes…the tall cosplayer”

“Ah…him…well…he’s busy and isn’t home now…”

“I see…”

“WHAT!” Came Junsu’s loud voice taking both Jaejoong and Hyun Joon by surprise “Are you serious? Okay…yes…I’m with him…he is okay…”

“What is it?” jaejoong asked

Junsu look at Jaejoong with a serious expression but did not answer his question. Instead he continues to talk on the phone a bit before hanging up.

“Well?”

Junsu debated if he should even tell jaejoong “that was changmin…I wanted to know rather he was okay….as you stated before he is at home which is good…”

Jaejoong was also relieve to know that Changmin made it back but still feel guilty for leaving him behind.

“Jaejoong…no matter how long you wait…that person will not come to you”

“What so you mean?”

Junsu took a deep breathe “Changmin didn’t want me to tell you…in fact he forbid me to tell you because he will try to do something on his own but…this is something I don’t want to keep a secret…I know it’s going to be dangerous for changmin to handle it himself…”

“Stop beating around the bush”

“My grandfather…that crazy psycho man…he has capture Yunho and is currently holding him captive…it seems he wanted to use Yunho as bait to lure you to where he is…”

Jaejoong became quiet as he clenched his fist tightly because this explains why Yunho didn’t come back to him. It wasn’t that he got tire of jaejoong and give up but because he wasn’t able to. Just exactly how and when did that old man capture Yunho?

“What are you guys talking about? Did someone have kidnap or something?” Hyun Joon asked

Jaejoong only turn around and stepped outside before Junsu called after him “Where are you going?!”

“Where do you think?”

“This is my grandfather we are talking about jaejoong…you won’t be able to win against him…if you go to his place it will be going as he planned….”

“It doesn’t matter…if he wants me to go to him…then I’ll go to him…”

“You are risking your life…”

Jaejoong turn to look at junsu with a serious expression. The look in his eyes were of pure anger sending a chill down Junsu’s spine “I’m going to take back what is mine…he will regret the day he touched something that belongs to me!”

Junsu look at jaejoong’s expression and he couldn’t help but understand a little why changmin is attracted to him.

“There is a way you can get into the place but first you will need a distraction”

As the last of the sunlight disappear, the darkness once again filled the city. Everything was quiet as most people had turn in for the night. In front of changmin’s grandfather’s house are 3 guards as one of the yawned. Even now they are still unsure as to why the increase in security but it’s not like they can question it either. Just then they heard noises coming from the street in front of them. To their surprise a group of youngsters walked over and stopped just a few feet away. All of them were carrying weapons of all sorts with excited smiles on their face. The three guards became nervous as they look to the front where the beautiful leaders stood. He is by far the one that made them more nervous just looking into those dark eyes and that beautiful and yet powerful smile.

“I have come for my dragon…either you step aside and let us through or face my fury” spoke jaejoong full of anger.

Meanwhile changmin had stepped into his grandfather’s study room with his final decision.

“What is it that you want to talk about?” his grandfather asked

“I have done a lot of thinking and I have decided…I will take the lead and get for you the heart you desire” changmin spoke with a serious look on his face as his grandfather smiled
