Everything was still as if what has taken place was just a dream that will quickly fade away. But no matter how many seconds…how many minute passed, this nightmare did not end. Even though there wasn’t any visible wound, jaejoong could feel a hand gripping onto his heart tightly sending his entire body into a wave of pain. Breathing became hard, even his vision was fading in and out as if he was going to collapse never opening his eyes again. He isn’t sure what exactly is going on from the beginning till now. He remember going to work like normal, enduring the torture of his job only to get kidnap, chained and forced to watch his friend get beaten up for his past action. He remembers fighting and wining getting ready to pull the trigger only to see a strange man appear from above. He was able to send 20 men flying into the air without as much as touch them and now this guy’s hand is inside him trying to rip out his lifeline.

“Jaejoong…JAEJOONG AH!!”

Upon his name he slightly turn his gaze toward changmin who is still tie up and looked horrify. Even though jaejoong’s vision isn’t that good he could make out the blood, the bruise and swelling upon changmin’s face. Everything that changmin suffered was supposed to be for him. He couldn’t help but chuckled as the guy before him wonder what could this beautiful man be laughing about in the middle of death.

“You are right changmin ah….” Jaejoong managed to speak “I should have stay out of trouble…now something really bad has happen…because of me you were force to endure the pain meant for me…because of my past sins I’m being punished right now…” he paused finding it hard to speak

“Jaejoong ah!...listen to me! Don’t you dare let him kill you!! You are stronger…you can win this?!” changmin shouted as he tried to break free

Jaejoong was gasping for air as he pant endlessly just trying to cling onto life “sorry changmin ah…I have caused you nothing but trouble….maybe in the next life I can make it up to you…” he smile slightly with a sadden smile as changmin’s eyes widen in shock as he desperately try to undo the ropes.

Jaejoong lifted his gaze to meet the other men in the eyes “I don’t know who you are….or what is it that you are after….rather you are human…an alien from space or some great being like you said…all I know is that there is no escape…no one can out run or escape death when it comes knocking not even me….if you desire what is inside me then take it…however…spare his life…he deserve to live…he has yet to commit a crime or any wrong doing…”

“jaejoong ah! What are you doing?!” changmin shouted

“I’m trying to save your …I’m going down a hero…” grin jaejoong

Changmin however didn’t see the fun in this.

“You care about him?” the other guy spoke calmly and well collected a bit suprised

Jaejoong remembered all the time he had spent with changmin. At first changmin was a like a pest that just won’t go away. He constantly forces himself into jaejoong’s personal life, constantly doing as he pleases. Jaejoong acted like he didn’t care…like changmin is annoying but in truth he is actually grateful for him. Other than Gummy, changmin was another kind soul who stood by him through it all. No matter what he do, how much he hurt him, changmin couldn’t go away or be disgusted.

“He…is a good friend…an important friend…” jaejoong smiled with a soften expression

The other guy didn’t say a word as he only gazed at jaejoong and then at changmin. He could tell they care about each other deeply far too deep that it made him jealous. Even though jaejoong have done so many wrong, maybe he still has some good left. Not a pure evil person can make someone else show such care; such affection and love like changmin have toward jaejoong. Without as much as a word he retreat his hand from jaejoong’s flesh allowing him to breathe once again but his body has become weak that he could barely keep his balance. The other guy quickly reached out and grab onto jaejoong holding him close to his own body.

“I have changed my mind…I won’t kill you just yet…” the other guy spoke

Jaejoong had wanted to fight back but he could barely left his hand as his vision started to become a blur. He lifted his gaze and notice the other guy’s eyes glowing a bright golden light reminding him once again of those large golden eyes from deep under water. He found it hard to even stay awake as he slowly closed his eyes and slipped into unconsciousness.

“JAEJOONG AH!!!” changmin shouted as he finally broke free of the rope. He ran toward them and pick up a broken wooden stick to try and save jaejoong. He swings the wooden stick but before he could even touch the other guy he felt his body froze in place. He couldn’t move his body nor could he utter a word, it’s as if a magical force as prevented him from moving forward. Changmin watched as the other guy pick jaejoong up into his arm in a bridal position before looking at him.

“You have watch over him…stood at his side…you have taken care of him well…for that I am thank ful…however…the place a this side does not belong to you…his heart…his body…his mind…his life…everything of him…is of mine…”

“h-how…i-is t-that p-p-possible?” changmin managed to utter those words from great difficulties

The other guy looks down upon the unconscious jaejoong in his arm “he is my bride…thus he belongs to me…no one else…” he spoke as if to make it clear that changmin's affection can only go as far as friendship

An image of a smiling jaejoong flashed before changmin’s eyes as he clinched his teeth. He attempted to move his body but like earlier it wouldn’t move. Everything was as still as a statue.

“Be grateful that you are his friend…thus I will spare your life…” the other guy spoke as he started to walk away.

“S-stop…” changmin tried to move but it was no use however he wasn’t just doing to stand here and watch jaejoong get taken away. Doing it behind his back is bearable but to do it right before his eyes is painful. It makes changmin feels weak and useless for not being able to protect him. Changmin struggled once more as he tried to move his hand and after some difficulties he managed to clinch his fist tightly as the force upon his body completely disappear. He looked at the guy in front of him as he dashed forward with determination and force. He didn’t care for the throbbing pain upon his body; he will do anything to protect jaejoong. He raised his arm and was going to punch the other guy who quickly jumped into the air before landing on his feet. This took the guy by surprise not knowing how a simple human like changmin could break through the bind that was placed upon his body. Not only that but something strange is happening. Earlier changmin looked weak but now, those brown eyes reflect a force of power that he has become familiar with in all the years of living in thos world.

“LET JAEJOONG GO!!” Changmin dashed toward him once again attempting to fight but he only dodged all of changmin’s attack while still holding onto jaejoong.

The other guy’s eyes glows a bright and powerful golden light and without even using his hand changmin felt a sudden force blasted against his body sending him flying as he slammed against the wall creating a little dent as he falls to the ground completely defeated. His body would no longer stand or move from all the injuries he had sustained.

“From this point on...it’s best you forget about him…you will never again cross path…” the guy spoke before he started to levitated into the air. He flies higher and higher through the roof and disappears from sight with jaejoong still in his arm. Changmin couldn’t do anything as he cursed feeling weak and powerless as he slammed his fist onto the ground as tears slide down his cheek.

Jaejoong was still unconscious as he dreamt that usual dream. He sees the usual raging sky and sea as the boat is struggling to stay afloat. A wave rising as high as the sky over shadowed him before forcing everything into its body sinking his little body deeper and deeper. It was hard to breath, hard to open his eyes and even harder to live. He felt himself dying, felt his heart coming slower…and slower before everything became quiet.

“Do you want to live?” a deep and powerful voice ringed through his ear “if so…become mine and I will grant you life…”

He was supposed to have died and yet he was able to open his eyes and see a large beast before him with two large golden eyes. It was scary and yet very beautiful.

Jaejoong finally open his eyes. He felt like de ja vu as he felt a throbbing upon his head. He slowly pulled himself into a sitting position trying to recall what exactly happen yesterday. It wasn’t until he notice a blanket covering his body did he started to look around. From the look of it, he was no longer in that run down warehouse but in a place that looked like a cave. Next to him are some burnt woods as an indication that a fire was previous lite. He quickly looks around and didn’t see anyone before standing up. He could see a light coming from the front as an indication that the entrance to the cave is that way. He took a few steps and reached the opening as he felt the bright morning light upon his body. It was warm and as welcoming. But when he looked down he became horrify. This isn’t just any normal cave; it is right in the middle of a god damn cliff with no way down. He could hear the loud splashing of waves deep down below as the breeze touched his face.

“Where…where the am I?!” he shouted

“You finally woke up…” came a voice from behind as jaejoong quickly turn around and spotted the guy from last night standing there. Jaejoong remember what happen and how this guy somehow sticks his hand inside him like magic. The anger in him took over as he felt disgusted. He dashed toward the other guy and tried to punch him. The guy only dodged it as jaejoong stumbled forward before regaining his composure and tried to kick him. The guy blocked jaejoong’s feet with his hand before jumping back to give space. Jaejoong wasn’t going to just stand still and do nothing as he dashed forward and swing his arm. However the other guy caught his hand before twisting it around behind jaejoong’s back slamming him against the wall without even holding back.

“You are quick to act…” he spoke

“When you feel like your life is in danger then of course it’s only natural to want to fight back”

The other guy released jaejoong before stepping back. Jaejoong felt his arm throbs as he no longer have the urge to fight  no longer sensing the dangerous vibe from this guy before him.

“how…did I get here?” he asked being very cautious of him.

“I brought you here…”

Jaejoong paused, no matter how you look at it, there was no way to get to this cave so how in the world did he bring him here?

“What…are you?” jaejoong asked

“I have already told you…I am a being greater then anything that had ever lived…I control the sea…”

“Yea I know…but what exactly are you? What do you want from me? I don’t ever remember crossing path with someone like you…”

“We have met once before…”

Jaejoong tilted his head to the side as he went through all the faces that he came across but did not recognize this man.

“When…when did we meet?”

“a very long time ago…” he spoke “probably when you were still a young boy…”

Immediately the image of the large beast with golden eyes flashed before him as he became nervous “what…are you planning to do with me?”

The other guy took one look at jaejoong and he couldn’t help but smirked “what happen to that feisty behavior from earlier?”

“As much as I like fighting…like to cause trouble…even I know when I’m up against an opponent I can’t win…especially when that opponent isn’t even human…”

The other guy didn’t say a word as he and jaejoong look at each other in silence.

“My Name is Jung Yunho…” he finally spoke

“And what do you want with me? You plan to kill me here? Why didn’t you kill me last night? From the look of it you could have rip out my heart in seconds…”

“That was the plan…after spending so many years feeling that heart of yours slowly become corrupt with darkness…I could no longer slept in peace…I came with the purpose of killing you…reclaiming the life I give you…however…in that heart there lies some hidden affection…some hidden goodness…So I spare your life for now…”

“Should I be thankful?...” jaejoong asked with a grin

“Be thankful to your friend…he showed me that a person who does nothing but harm others could still make another person care so much with love…”

At this moment jaejoong finally remember the shape changmin was in, all bruised up and bleeding.

“Changmin...” he quickly turn to the entrance of the cave and is once again forced to face the fact that he is in a place he could not escape like a cage. He looked down and sees the water below. He looked to the side and did not see a path or anything to hold onto.

“Take me back” jaejoong demanded

“I can’t do that…”

Jaejoong clinched his teeth in anger as he walked up to Yunho and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt “Take me back right now!!! Changmin is wounded badly because of me!!! I have to go and make sure he is okay!!”

Yunho was calm even though he is faced by more hostility from Jaejoong. He only yanked his shirt away from him and adjusts it.

“Going forward you are no longer allow to return…you will remain here with me…”

“Bull!!” Jaejoong snapped “I don’t know what you are up to or what you are after but you are not keeping me here!”

“Then…try to leave…I won’t stop you” Yunho spoke knowing very well that there is no way jaejoong could escape from this place unless he wants to die. He turns around and ventured further into the cave leaving jaejoong alone.

Jaejoong cursed before turning around and felt the strong wind blowing from below causing his hair to sway back and forth forcefully. He can’t help but wonder if changmin is okay.

Meanwhile changmin woke up in the hospital room completely bandage up. His hand placed in a cast for a broken bone as well as his right leg. The event that took place last night continues to replay over and over in his head constantly reminding him of his weakness. The image of Jaejoong being taken away right before his eyes made him feel so horrible about himself. He clinched his fist tightly in anger as he cursed for being so weak.

Suddenly the door to his room open as an older man possible in his late 30’s dressed in a suit came into the room pushing a wheel chair with an elderly man who looked to be in his early 80’s into the room. The younger man placed the elderly man next to changmin’s bed before bowing and excusing himself. He closed the door behind him giving them privacy.

“You cause quite the commotion last night” the elderly man spoke softly and warmly

“Grandpa…what should I do…I failed myself…I failed jaejoong…I couldn’t protect him…” he spoke bitterly

His grandfather reached over and placed his wrinkle hand upon changmin’s hand before smiling “You did not fail….the fact that you tried to help him even though you could have died show strength and courage…”

“But I allow him to be taken away…”

“Only because you were in bad shape…you were already critically injured from head to toe…what an injured and bleeding man do…? You fought your best…you put up with your pain…with your injuries to save him…even if you failed you still show that you aren’t weak but is actually very strong…maybe not physically but mentally…”

Changmin didn’t say anything as his grandfather continued “Jaejoong will be alright…we have already sent out a search for him…in no time we will find him and bring him home…you just take care of yourself…if you continue to be negative…continue to willow in self-pity…you won’t be able to save anyone…if you truly want to protect him then get well…become stronger…”

Changmin remember what he saw how Yunho’s hand went into jaejoong…how he blew changmin away without even lifting his hand. No matter how he looks at it he isn’t up against a normal human being. No matter how strong he become, there is no way he could defeat someone like Yunho.

“Changmin ah…” his grandfather spoke “what exactly happen? It seems you aren’t telling the authorities everything…”

He didn’t respond knowing the fact that no one will believe him of what he experienced and saw. They will only think of him as losing his mind thus leading him to exclude the information of super natural power.

“No matter what you tell me I will believe you? I had never doubted you…I have raised you…watch you grow up to be an honest and fine man…I know you aren’t capable of lies…”

Changmin hesitated a bit before turning to his grandfather feeling like right now the only person who can truly help him find jaejoong is his grandfather.

“The guy who took jaejoong…he isn’t normal…”

“what do you mean?”

“Grandpa…he was able to use some kind of magic…he attacked jaejoong…his hand clearly went into jaejoong’s flash but there was no open wound, no blood…it’s as if he can magical reach his hand inside…and…when I tried to save jaejoong…he sent me flying without as much as touch me…”

His grandfather became more interested as his eyes grew a bit “and? What else?”

“His eyes…” changmin remember Yunho’s eyes “it…was glowing…”

His grandfather quickly grabbed him by the hand and held it tightly with interest. It’s as if the life in him came back “What color? What color was it glowing?!”

Changmin only looked at his grandfather a bit startled upon his sudden change of behavior “it…was gold…a beautiful golden color…”

“Gold?...gold…” he continue to repeat this word to himself in disbelief

Changmin was starting to get this feeling like maybe his grandfather knows something about Yunho.

“finally….after so many years…so many centuries…it appears…not just any…but a rare one…” he spoke no longer able to contain the excitement and the huge smile upon his face.

“Grandpa…do you perhaps know this person?” changmin asked

His grandfather smiled widely “oh…not only do I know him…I have been waiting for him…I thought for sure like my father and his father and his ancestors I will die never seeing one but now…now I have been given a chance…”

“A chance? Chance for what?”

His grandfather looked at changmin “Immortality…”

Yunho return to where the fireplace is only to see jaejoong sitting on the edge of the cave entrance looking out into the horizon deep in thoughts as the sunset glows reflected upon his pale skin.

“I thought for sure you will attempt to climb the rocks…”

“That was my plan…I was going to climb and risk my life but then I realize something terrifying…”

“And that is?”

Jaejoong didn’t say anything as he listens to the sound of water below. It reminded him from the dream he keeps on having. Rather it was one of his forgotten memory or just a simple nightmare; it has put fear into him. For as long as he could remember he had been afraid of the sea. Just the thought of falling down there and being swallowed by the large body of water terrify him. To make matter worst his cell phone has been smashed into bits probably by this guy before him.

“You…don’t need to know” said jaejoong

Suddenly his stomach started to growl for he had not eaten anything since last night. In fact he even missed dinner because of what happen. This morning until now he had yet to eat something.

“You wouldn’t happen to have any food up here do you?” jaejoong asked

Yunho only looked at jaejoong a bit before stepping forward “I forgot that human need to consume food to live…”

“And you don’t?”

“I can sleep for many centuries and will not be hungry…”

“Really now?...just what exactly are you? An alien from space? Someone from a different world? Don’t tell me you are planning to experiment with me?”

Yunho didn’t say anything as he walked toward the edge and smirked at jaejoong “I do plan to but not that kind of experiment you are thinking about…”

“huh?”

“Although it will hurt for your first time”

With that being said Yunho grew two large wings taking jaejoong by complete surprise. He flapped the wings before flying away leaving jaejoong in complete shock.

“no…no…no…I didn’t see it…I did not see wings grew out of his back…I did not see him flying away…I didn’t see anything…this is…this is…just a dream…yeah…a dream…” he spoke to himself completely trying to ignore what he just witness but as much as he wanted to make it seem like he didn’t see it, the fact that he knows this is real was freaking him out “did I…get kidnap by a monster? Am I his food?!” upon this thought his fear of the sea below him is nothing compare to the fact that he might become food. If this was the fact, he wasn’t going to stick around and get eaten. Jaejoong quickly stood up and started to look for way to escape. After going through all his option, he concluded that the only way out is to climb up. From the look of it this is on the side of a large and tall cliff. There has bound to be some flat land above. He removed his long sleeve shirt to reveal a greyish muscle shirt underneath. He tied it around his waist and turn to look up to determine how far he will have to climb. He could hear the sound of water splashing below as he told himself he can this do. No matter what he needs to escape, by now Gummy will be worried and he can’t sit still not knowing what has become of changmin. With determination jaejoong reached for the nearest rock that he can use to climb up.

In the meantime Gummy has arrived at Jaejoong’s apartment with a bag full of different dishes that she though he might like. After knocking on the door there was no response. She tried to peek through the window but didn’t see anyone inside. She took out her cell phone and called jaejoong but it didn’t go through either. For jaejoong to be so quiet since yesterday was strange. Usually he will contact her and bug her but she has not heard from him. Gummy thought that maybe what she had said to him earlier might have hurt him or something. She tried to call him a few more times but none of her calls went through. This only made her more worried. She decided to call up changmin the next closest first to jaejoong. But even reaching changmin was as hard.

“Are these two together? What in the world are they up to?” Gummy wondered.

She looks at her watch and notice time is already close to an appointment she have. She tried calling one more time but didn’t receive anything so she left a message.

“Neh Jaejoong ah! I hope you aren’t out causing trouble again? You better not be locks up somewhere! I don’t have any more money to bail you out you hear me?” she paused a bit as the anger disappear and is replaced by concern “I have been trying to call you so many time…I haven’t heard from you since yesterday morning…where exactly are you? What are you doing? Are you okay? please…if you get this message…please call me okay…let me know you are okay…I’m really worried….I even made your favorite dishes…I’ll leave them by the door so eat them properly…” she hangs up still very worried before hanging the bag of food upon the door knob.

She started to walk away but paused to glance back at the jaejoong’s apartment before turning around and leave.

After spending a good 30 minutes climbing jaejoong felt like it’s never ending. The flat land above seems further up then he expected it to be. He could feel the strong wind below threatening to pull him off the cliff as the sound of splashing water below made him nervous. None the less he continues on as he reached for the next rock. He lifted his right leg to step on one of the other rock before pulling himself up when suddenly the rock under his feet became loose as he slipped. Luckily Jaejoong was able to hold onto a rock to keep himself from falling to the water below. He felt his heart racing. In all the things he had done, he had never done anything this crazy and deadly. Jaejoong took a deep breath to try and calm himself as he managed to pull himself up onto another rock to keep his balance. He continued his way up the cliff.

When Yunho return with food he was surprise to see jaejoong gone. This made him angry as he tossed the rabbit onto the ground. He looked up and can sense the beautiful man above him possibly climbing the rock. Even though jaejoong is daring, he never expected a human to be brave enough to actually climb this dreadful cliff. As much as he hates jaejoong running away, he can’t help but praise him for his courage.

As jaejoong climbed he felt a sudden strong breeze of wind blasted at him from below nearly causing him to slip once again. Luckily he managed to keep himself close to the cliff to prevent any falling. After the wind die down, he started to climb once again. At this point he isn’t even sure how long he has been climbing which seem endless. No matter how far he went up, he won’t reach the top. Right now he could feel his body become weak as he no longer have any more strength to climb however he kept pushing himself. After some struggle jaejoong finally reached the top with much difficulty. He thought for sure he would never reach the top and ends up falling. The first thing he did was lie on his back panting and trying to catch his breath as he tries to calm his body. Once he confirmed that he has rested enough he stood up but widen his eyes in complete shock. This cliff was on its own like a small little island that barely have any room to move around nor it was not attached to any other land. The nearest land is possible 100 feet away.

“You have got to be kidding me…” thought jaejoong feeling like his effort has been wasted

“Do you really think that I will bring you to a place where you can easily escape?” came Yunho’s voice as jaejoong lifted his gaze and sees him floating above him. His eyes were glowing a golden color sending a shiver down his spine. The expression on his face was of pure anger and coldness.

“if you want to kill me why don’t you just do it?! why are you keeping me alive?! Why are you stalling time?!” Jaejoong snapped

“If I wanted to I could kill you right here…right now…”

“Then what are you waiting for?”

“To see who you truly are…”

“What?”

“It seems you have forgotten our encounter…forgotten the agreement that was made long ago…”

Jaejoong didn’t say anything as he couldn’t remember or recall what Yunho is talking about.

“Long ago when you were still little you awoken me from my slumber…you were dying…drowning deep into the sea…your heart beat was fading and yet it was loud enough to stir me up…After so many centuries of sleeping, I opened my eyes to save you…”

As jaejoong listen to this the dream he kept having played in his head as the scene of a boat being swallowed by the sea and the big golden eyes flashed before his eyes.

“I saved your life…your heart was filled with warmth…kindess….sympathy…love…happiness…there wasn’t a ounce of hate…anger or disgust…the sound it makes was pure, innocent and soothing to my ear…it was as if you were calling me…asking for my help…”

“I did no such thing!”

Yunho descended from the sky and onto the ground as he walked toward jaejoong who continued to back away until there wasn’t any more room for him to take a step back. The edge of the cliff was already at the bottom of his feet.

“Then shall we refresh your memory of the deal that was made…” he grinned

Before jaejoong knew what he meant, Yunho had reached out and pushed him over the edge. Jaejoong watched Yunho in shock as he felt his body started to fall. He wasn’t even given enough time to react as he felt his body splashed into the water below as the sea once again swallowed him into its stomach. As he sink deeper and deeper, memory that he had forgotten became unlocked as it resurfaced. He remember going out to the sea with his family for a vacation. It was supposed to be full of fun and sun. Even the forecast stated it’s going to be sunny all day long. However half way into their vacation at sea, the weather quickly shifted. The sunny summer day turn into a rain storm making it hard for them to return. He remembers being scare as his mother cradled him softly whispering to him that everything will be alright. His father rushed into the room in a panic asking for the mother to help them as she left him behind. After waiting for a few minutes, he decided to find his parent. But the minute he made it to the deck, the large wave rise as high as it could as its shadow covered them. The next thing he knew he is sinking into the water unconscious. He thought he had died but instead he came face to face with a large beast with two golden eyes. It has two large wings, long sharp teeth and claws.

“Your heart is to my liking boy…it has been a long time since I last hear of such a pure heart…” the beast spoke “Do you want to live? if so…become mine and I will grant you life…”

“Are you a sea monster?” the little boy asked

The beast chuckled “I am far greater than a sea monster…”

Meanwhile Changmin was still at the hospital listening talking to his grandfather.

“What do you mean by immortality?” changmin asked his grandfather

“You have read the book I give you have you not?”

Changmin started to think “but…the book said that Immortality lies in the heart of the dragon bride…but grandpa…that is just a story….right?”

His grandfather smiled at him “that is not a story changmin ah…it’s is a true story…a myth that is true…”

“But…that…that doesn’t make sense…”

“Listen to me very closely changmin ah…the man you saw yesterday isn’t normal…he is of an ancient breed of creatures that once govern these lands….He is powerful, more powerful than his own breed…”

“You…are making him sound like something out of a fantasy movie…”

“Indeed because he is....a living legend...a creature that has disappear centuries ago...he is a dragon changmin ah….the first dragon to appear after so many centuries…”

Changmin on the other hand was still trying to register what he just heard. He had always believed that there really are dragons but to actually hear that they do in fact exist is shocking.

“The golden color of his eyes meant that he isn’t just a normal dragon…a rare one…one who bears the blood line of royalty…if he has appeared and has taken your friend jaejoong…that only mean one thing…”

Changmin paused a bit before he figures out where his grandfather is going with this “jaejoong…he…is the dragon bride….”
