There was that moment, that brief second of panic where I wanted to know just what I had been thinking. I glanced over and Tiffany and saw that her expression didn’t mirror mine. Quite the opposite in fact. Where I was scared, she looked strangely defiant.

                “What’s going on? Tiffany, how could you do this to me?” Jessica was rapidly paling and she was looking faint. I stepped forward to help her.

                Tiffany crossed her arms. “Funny how you only blame me. It takes two to tango you know.” I blushed a bit. I hadn’t expected her to be so brazen about our night before.

                Jessica turned to me. “Tell me she seduced you and not the other way around.”

                This was it. This was my moment. I could be a coward and lie and blame it on Tiffany, or I could be honest. I took a deep breath. “Actually, Jessica, we really need to talk.”

                “Now?” she screeched. “Why now? Why two days before our wedding? Are you both out of your minds?”      

                “Jessica, it’s my fault. I never should have proposed in the first place. I actually proposed to you to see Tiffany’s reaction.” Now that I was given free reign to be a douche, I found it surprisingly easy. The truth flowed out of me like water. “I’ve always liked Tiffany. I only ever went out with you in the beginning out of pity. But I grew to like you. Until I realized that I could be with the one I wanted to be with. I’m sorry Jessica.”

                “So this is all a matter of preference isn’t it?” Her tone was hurt and I glanced at Tiffany.

                “This entire time, you’ve only been a whiny brat. You always took him for granted and you never once deserved him. You didn’t see him for who he really was, just a handsome face and a full wallet. You never really got to know him. All the intimate details you know is because I told you. You never once thanked me for getting the two of you together. You slept with your cousin’s boyfriend for goodness’ sakes. Do you really want to about us?”

                I’ve been waiting a long time for this. This trump card that has been festering and burning a hole in my pockets. I hadn’t wanted to say anything before. Because I thought he deserved it. He deserved it for being such an idiot.

                I didn’t even bother looking to see his reaction. The only satisfaction for me was hers. She bit her lips and tears filled her eyes. Traitor, she has the gall to mouth. I smirked to myself and waited. Jaejoong’s arm slipped around my waist. Jessica saw this and gasped.

                “How could you? Jaejoong,” she wasn’t ashamed of what she has done. She still insisted on yelling at us, playing the victim, the damsel in distress.

                “Get out of here, Jessica. I’ll be the bad guy. I’ll tell them that we were never meant to be married. I’ll pay for all compensations. Just go and leave us alone. You can even keep the ring.” Jaejoong was adamant and he stayed protectively by my side. I stayed still until she left. When the last of her shadow disappeared down the hall, I crossed the room and closed the door.

                “Did we do the right thing?” Only one wave of regret came to me. I wasn’t used to playing the wicked witch. Normally, I stayed in the sidelines and let Jessica do her thing. This was an act of rebellion, and damn did it feel good. He hugged me.

                His lips swept over the top of my head. “Yes.” He tugged on my shirt and I giggled.

                “You just ended your engagement with your girlfriend of four years and you have no regrets?”

  Well this wasn't how I expected to end this. The entire story got away from me an it turned into this. It was supposed to be longer, more rated, but whatever.
