SERIES 1: OTHER SIDE OF LOVE
Young saeng is resting after the classes, laying on his bed, listening to music with hi head phones on hi ear, since kyu jong, his best friend needed to research for something, he has nothing to do so he decided to just rest alone,,,
Hyun joong came but the boy didn’t notice him, maybe due to the volume on the ears, he supposed that the boy is sleeping so he didn’t even attempt to talk to him,,, he cleaned up and change,,,
Hyun joong then shut off the lights so not to disturb the sleeping boy, but young saeng suddenly stood up and search for his side table and switch on the lamp shade quickly,,hyun joong heard him and was shocked, he went to the boy who was then panting like he run a miles…
“Hey! Are you okay? Hyun joong asked, concerned,,
“I~~I~~~ young saeng look up to the other and didn’t continue,,he then shook his head..
“are you afraid or scared of the dark? Or can’t sleep without light?,,hyun joong asked him again after turning on the lights again,,
“Yes,,,young saeng admitted and laid back again, facing back the room mate,,,
“I’m sorry,,I’m really sorry, I didn’t know it,,I thought it was okay since last night you turned off the lights,,,hyun joong felt sorry as he apologize repeatedly,,,
“that’s why I my side lamp,,im sorry too I didn’t told you that,,,yong saeng apologize too and face the room mate..
“im sorry again,,now I know,,it won’t happen again,,hyun joong told apologetically until the end,,
“it’s okay,,,go to sleep now,,you can turn the lights off since I have lights on my bed,,young saeng said and face the wall…
“I’m sorry again,,,good night,,,hyun joong replied an gets back on his bed,,,
Young saeng slept well facing the wall while hyun joong fell doze after watching the boy sleeping while the back facing him…

Early in the morning the next day, young saeng woke up, he stretch out his limbs and exercise his neck,,this is the second morning already, and it was so strange that he able to sleep well with a stranger, he feels too comfortable with his room mate,,He gazed on the other bed and the bed was fixed so well, bed sheets perm well and pillows laid perfectly on the bed,,the room mate is not there anymore, he looked around and he didn’t found the room mate, maybe he’s gone to school earlier, he assumed,,,
He took his quick shower and put his uniform and left the room to go to his classroom,,,He saw his best friend while on his way, and both went to the classroom together,, As they arrived to their destination, he immediately saw the room mate already sitting on his chair while laughing out with the friends..
Young saeng breathed deeply, he gave a glare to hyun joong while he and kyu are heading to their seats, Hyun joong looked back to him. Both locked their eyes together without even a simple smile,,
“By the way, hyun joong, whose your room mate, you haven’t told us…do we know him? Jungmin interrupted hyun joong from his daydreaming or something because he found a prince passing in front of his eyes,,,
“yes,, you, well maybe everyone knew him just days ago? Hyun joong answered, not even breaking his gaze to the boy thought young saeng is already sitting comfortably on his seat,,
“Ahhh jinjja? Who? Who? Upper senior? Freshmen, sophomore? Tell us,,,hyung jun asked, excited like a kid,
“ahmm just the same as us,,,hyun joong finally awoken and ace the friends,,,
“really? Who? Come on,,don’t hang up,,just tell us,,jungmin shook the friend on the shoulder and pestered him,,
Hyun joong mouth pointed to the direction behind his friends and smiled, giggling a little…
“Kyu jong?,, hyung jun frowned,,,,yahhh,,it’s kyu jong only and he’s a fried of us,,aigoo,,I thought of something exciting,, it would be more exciting if your room mate is the boy beside him,,,he looks so interesting,,,he added,,
“that’s what I am trying to say,,that’s him,,,not kyu jong okay,,he’s really different,,I’m curious about him,,,hyun joong told…
“what? You mean,,the new student? Waahhh so lucky,,how could,,,,wait,,hey,,why there’s a lot of stars and fireworks on your eyes? Hmmmm,,,,jungmin teased, rubbing his chin…
“so how’s the first night and the second night. Yesterday, you are too busy that we didn’t had an interview to the head student, so now tell us everything now,,,hyung jun pestered,,,
“not bad, he’s sensitive,,he’s complicated to be with, not boring..hyun joong answered..
“mwo? Complicated? Not boring? Oh my gosh,,you’ll having a hard time this time I’m sure,,,jungmin said shaking his head,,,
“I think no,,maybe in the future we will be comfortable to each other,,and it’s starting,,,,hyun joong said confidently, murmuring the last sentence while gazing again at the boy,,
“tsk tsk tsk,,,I smell something,,the two said in unison shaking their heads multiple times…
“what are you thinking….hyun joong asked staring at the two..
“are you interested in him? Yahhh I never saw you with those sparkling eyes towards jaejoong,,jaejoong no wonder like you so much but you never gave him even just a little bit of attention,,,hyung jun talked,,
“aeeeehhhhhh,,,dirty minds,,well it’s not like that,,I am just curious about him and regarding jae,,you know how I feel about him,,,so stop mentioning about him,,,hyun joong response,,,,
“arasseo! Arasseo! So can you introduce him to us? So we can be friends to him too? Jungmin said, winking his eye…
“eoooo we’re not that close yet,,,just don’t mind about him,,,hyun joong replied scratching his head..
“Are you afraid to him? Hyung jun teased and quickly run towards kyu jong,,,,
“Yahhhh!!!!! Hyun joong shouted but hyung jun didn’t listen…
“Hey! Hi kyu…hyung jun greeted and waved his hand in front of kyu…but young saeng doesn’t mind since he has his ear phones and eyes shut..
“Hi? Kyu greeted back,,,
“are you two know each other? You were always hang out together…hyung jun then asked,,,
“Ye~~yes? We were childhood friends,, we were just separated when we enter secondary school and I transferred to seoul…
“Hi! Hyung jun lifted away young saeng’s earphone from his ear and greeted but young saeng just put back his earphone without a response glaring at him and look at the window near him after,,,…
“Yahhh,,did he know how to talk?,,hyung jun whispered to kyu,,..
“he’s just shy I think since he is just new in here, but don’t worry he’s not a bad kid,, kyu defended his friend….hyung jun just nodded his head…
The teacher came and all settled their selves to their proper seats and the class started,,hyun joong was focusing to he classes while young saeng makes a once in a while glances to the head student,,,
After the class, al the students headed to the canteen, it’s time for lunch,,and hyung jun thought of inviting kyu to have lunch with them,,,
Kyu went to yong saeng to tell him about the invitation but obviously the boy refused to join,,,
“Young saeng!! They are not bad,,come on,,,they are inviting us,,,kyu said,,,
“it’s okay kyu, just join them, you can go with them,,,young saeng told,,
“ani,,you can join us too,,,hyung jun said,,,
“ I’m sorry I have something to do first and I’m not hungry yet,,,young aeng replied and immediately left the room,,,
“I’m sorry guys, maybe next time,I need to accompany him,,kyu apologize…
“okay,,be sure next time you’ll join us,,,hyung jun pouted, disappointed for failing on his first attempt to be friends with the new student,,,
“I told you just leave him alone,,maybe he’s not yet ready to be friends with you, he might be shy still,,,hyun joong tap hyung jun’s shoulder,,,,now you go first, I have something to get to the office,,I’ll just follow in the canteen…he added..
“arasseo,,,hyung jun let’s go,,,jungmin lock his arm on hyung jun’s arm and drag him out of the room,,,

At the canteen, young saeng and kyu ordered their foods, young saeng search for a place where there are few people around, He took the 2nd floor of the canteen following behind is kyu, Kyu just let him choose where he wants to sty since he knew how his friends parted himself from other people,,then finally after 3 minutes he found the location and immediately walk towards that table, it’ far from everyone..
“saengie,,,can I ask you something? Why you don’t like to join the rest? Kyu asked as soon as they find a table…
“it’s not that I don’t like,,I just don’t know them yet..and besides,,I’m not used to join people whom strangers to me,,young saeng answered.
“don’t tell me you cant forget what happen in your previous school..saengie,,just~~~ kyu mentioned…
“kyu,,pleasse just don’t bring that now,,,I will definitely forget everything about that in the future, young saeng response..
“heo young saeng! Kyu was ready to give a scolding time but he was cut on doing that,,,
“plese,,give me more time,,,and I don’t want to think about that today,,so stop mentioning it,,,don’t worry next time we will join them I’m sure,,I promise,,just eat,,,young saeng says with an assuring tone,,
Kyu stopped, he stare at his friend,,he felt pity about him,,young saeng is a cheerful kid back then but he change just because of that incident,,Kyu is not used to see a cold young saeng,,he used to see a cheerful friend..Kyu had finished his food nd he remembered he needs to go,,,
“eo mianhae,,I have to go,,I need a research,,I’ll go first,,,take care and call e immediately if there’s a problem, arassseo! kyu said and remind him,
“ahhmm okay,,it’s okay,,yucan go,,young saeng said..
Kyu rushed to go and young saeng was left alone again when suddenly someone sits on the table near where he was sitting, it’s jaejong, the person who had a big admiration towards hyun joong since first year,,,he is aIso in second year, the same as him but he belongs to another class,,,
“Young saeng ssi am I right? Jaejong questioned with an annoying smile..
Young saeng didn’t answer, he just gave a stare, a sharp stare to the maybe a bully, sitting on the other table, he then goes back to his plate ad continue to eat,,
“A transferee right? Jaejoong continues while his friends were murmuring about young saeng,,,you know what? I really don’t like you,,your stare,,are you always want to pick a fight?,,he added,,teasing him actually,,
Young saeng is still silent as if there is no one talking to him,,that’s why jaejoong felt annoyed for not getting any response from the new student,,,Young saeng stood up and lift his plate up and ready to leave the gang that makes it worst to jaejoong,,
“yahhh!!!! Jae shouted and grab the sandwich that was on his plate and threw it to young saeng..
Young just stare again and look at his uniform, he cleaned it and didn’t mind,,he ignored the gang and started to steps to leave but jae go pissed and went to the boy and then he pick the collar but saengie just didn’t move, he looked away,,students started to gather around and the whole second floor of the canteen is in the chaos,,

On the other hand, hyun joong just followed his friends to the canteen, as they were already eating in the first floor, they heard some scream and too much noises coming from the upper floor, some students passing by their table were then talking about a fight with a transferee student,,Hyun joong look up to to the second floor and run,,he decided to check it since there is only one transferee he knew and it is young saeng, his room mate,,,He then saw the right person he was thinking, it is his room mate,,,
When jaejoong is about to give a punch, he felt anxious and mad but he remain calm as he was known as the calmest person in the student council..he shove every students blocking his way calmly…”Jaejoong! He shouted…
“Hyu~~~hyun joong ah,,,,jae whispered getting startled..
“what do you think you are doing jae,,hyun joong asked,
“I~~~I….hyun joong I’m sorry,,please forgive me,,,jae can’t find a proper answer, he felt scared and he is now shaking,,he then unhold and release the boy from his grip…each of his friends were gone already…and he decided to leave without explanations..
“All of you, take my words,,,don’t you ever try to touch him again,,hurt him and you’ll see, I’ll be your best enemy,,understand?! Hyun joong told and shouted to everyone…
Jae was shocked,,he admired hyun joong from the very beginning but thi is the first time he saw him being angry defending and protecting someone,,,he then left the place,,students around scattered and went to their tables…
“are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere? Hyun joong asked worriedly,,,
“no.it’s okay,,im alright,,nothing’s really happened since you came before he do..
Hyun joong saw the stain on young saeng’s uniform due to the sandwich that jae threw to him,hyun joong tried to cleaned it with is handkerchief but young saeng hold his hand and refused to that,,,but they both notice their hands, saengie release it immediately an wiped his uniform on his own,,,Saengie is about to leave but was hold by hyun joong on the wrist…
“you can’t go to class with that stain on your uniform,since you haven’t got your other uniforms, you can borrow mine,,I can lend you one, hyun joong said dragging the boy to their room without waiting for the other’s opinion,,,
Young saeng had no choice but to accept the offer and besides, he hates being so messy especially when it comes to his clothes..he got change,,it fits him well…
“A while ago,,thank you,,saengie sid but in just low volume…and thank you for this,,,I owe you one,,he added,,
“you’re welcome,,anyway,,,you can pay back at me,,,hyun joong smirked,,,
“what? Saengie gulped…
“friendship,,let’s be friends from now on,,,hyun joong told,,,
“Fr~~~friends? You want to be friends with me? Saengie confirmed,,,
“yes,,,that’s all..look,,I’m not bad,,trust me..hyun joong said, eager to get a yes answer,,being friends with him is a better way to know him well,,he’s waiting for this chance, he wants to know him well…
“an I aske you first? why did you help me a while ago? And you look worried a lot,,,aren’t you afraid that some students will the you for that? Saengie asked,,,
“ahhh that thing,,because,,,because I am the student head and I am responsible to take good care of the peacefulness in this school and plus you are my room mate…. Hyun joong answered, of course that wasn’t all, there‘s something that he can‘t say it right away..,
“arasseo,,,young saeng murmured,,
“what do you mean? so are we friends now? Hyun joong questioned that again.
Young saeng blushed, his face is burning red,,he turned around,let’s go,, I’m sure class will start soon,,,he said and run away. Hyun joong smiled and run to catch his room mate. They both walked silently and entered the class room quietly,,,
Kyu rushed to young saeng while jungmin and hyung jun run to hyun joong,,,
“what happen? Jungmin and hyung jun told me,,are you alright? I told you to call me,,,kyu bombarded his best friend with questions,,
“I’m fine,,hyu~~hyun joong helped me out, young saeng said and smiled towards hyun joong…
“ahh,,,de,,I heard that,,,,kyu said feeling a little jealous seeing how saengie and hyun joong look at each other,,,
Nevertheless, jugmin and hyung jun felt suspicious when they aught their friend’s eyes sparkling non stop whie smiling back to young saeng,,
“Oh my gosh hyung jun,,what is happening here? Look at them,,,jungmin saying in a little confusion,,,
“well,,,something is not right? As what I know, this morning, they were still ignoring each other though they are sleeping in the same room and now,,,what the heck happen and they both exchanging their smiles..hyung jun added to the fire..
Jungmin and hyung jun look at each other and pushed their friends from his seat as hyun joong were nearly falls from his chair,,,
“Yahhh!!!! What are you doing? That hurts huh? Hyun joong yelled, he look at young saeng again after…
Young saeng were nearly laughed at the other party but he controlled himself,,hyun joong look at him again an smiled,,,he then smiled back,,both were exchanging their small smile,,,saengie blushed more and felt his cheeks again turning into red tomatoes..
The afternoon class once again started,,the chaos on the canteen had a good impact to them, hyun joong finally got the friendship he wanted from young seng, and young saeng had just started to be open to someone he assumed he can trust on,,He sure knows that it is too early to trust other people now due to his past but he felt that hyun joong is different, he is comfortable being with him,,there is this thing inside him that telling his heart and mind that this man is someone he can trust aside from his best friend,,,And one more thing is that hyun joong is his room mate so avoiding him won’t work because he can’t just avoid someone that he will be sharing room for the whole year,,,,
After the class,young saeng left the class room since kyu had left immediately for the library again..Hyun joong notice that his room mate was gone so he headed out first while the two went to the canteen to take their snacks,,
Hyun joong waste his remaining time walking outside, taking a fresh air and just decided to go to his favorite place in this school… the old small practice room with an old big piano on the side…this place was abandoned since they used the new music room located near the function hall,,,sice this practice room is al away to their classrooms, the school decided to close it, but for him, this is the best place he could have while staying in this school, far fro everyone else..This is where he spent most of his leisure time, while sometimes bringing his guitar with him,,,

Young saeng wlked alone heading to their dorm, passing by the oval, he trace all the students playing around, hoping that the person he wants to watch was there, but he’s not around,,,he sighed and continue to walk,,,As he was walking, something hard hit on his head and the last thing he saw is an image of a boy standing in front of him but it was blurred already and he cant able to recognize,,he pased out and lost his senses,,Someone just then carried him and took him in a dark room….
