Encounter
From the top to the bottom“Wake up neighbour, it's school time!”
I changed my position to laying on my stomach. The voice had sounded very real, but I knew it was just a dream. I knew it because that voice belonged to Jiho, and he couldn't possibly be in my room right now.
“This guy showed up to our door, so I let him in.”
I was still dreaming.
“He said you were supposed to leave ten minutes ago.”
“Mom I'm sleeping”, I whined and slightly opened my eyes. And after seeing what I saw, I jumped up like I had had an electric shock. My mouth dropped open and I tried to speak, but nothing came out. “Are you crazy?!” I snapped at mom and grabbed my blanket around me.
“Get ready, you're not skipping because of a hangover Miranda!” mom shouted while disappearing from the door. I could hear her heavy steps going down the stairs all the way to the kitchen. All that time I spent staring at Jiho. He seemed quite satisfied.
“What are you still doing here? Get out!” I yelled and threw my blanket on him. He violently threw the blanket on the floor.
“You better get your in the car in five or else I'll leave without you.” His content smile faded away and was replaced with a serious glare.
“Five?! I'll never make it!”
“Then you better start getting ready!”
-after five minutes-
I could hear Jiho honking his horn outside. I was almost ready, tying the lashes of my shoes, and he dared to honk at me.
“I'm coming you idiot!” I screamed and took a hold of the wall just to keep my balance. When I got everything done, I stepped outside and walked my way to Jiho's car. Grumpily he stepped on it and started driving fast towards our school.
“You shouldn't have waited for me idiot! I was trying to skip school!”
“I know”, Jiho said with a cool tone. “That's exactly why I wanted to wait. So that you couldn't skip.”
I cursed in in my mind but kept my head cool. It wouldn't help my headache if I started to fight with Jiho. All I wanted was him to be quiet and take me to school. In the end, the whole “getting drunk” thing had been his idea, so basically I could blame Jiho for causing me a hangover.
When we got to the school, Jiho didn't just disappear to his own circles like he always did, but instead he stayed next to me while we walked in the school lobby together.
“Ay don't you have your own friends to go to?” I asked with a bit sour tone. He rolled his eyes like I would have asked something obvious.
“Thought you wanted to skip?” he asked and sat next to a grand piano. It was black and beautiful, just like my granny's piano. I used to play it every day until she died in cancer three years ago. It was a tragic and sudden death, not even the doctors had noticed the cancer cells before it was too late. She died three months later after finding the cancer, in her own apartment. We were all there, sending her away with the angels. It's a moment I'll never forget.
“Miranda?”
I jumped back to reality with a shake of my head. And it felt terrible. “God you're so noisy! Would you please keep it down?”
Jiho snorted and stood up from the couch and walked out of the lounge. I sighed and followed him. “Jiho, quit it.” But he didn't stop. I gave up chasing him and sat next to the grand piano where Jiho had been sitting just earlier. And it didn't help the situation, that then people started flowing in the lobby. Someone sat next to me, and in front of me, hell someone even tried to sit on me! That's when I got enough and jumped up with a loud grunt.
“Miranda!” I couldn't even see the face of the person who suddenly tied his hands around me. It was who else than Bambam. “What happened to you last night? I was worried to sick! Why the hell would you disappear like that?”
I had to squeeze my eyes closed to calm
