Spit it out
From the top to the bottomOne week had passed. The only person that still talked to me in school was Eunmi. I don't know what Jackson had told to everyone, but it seemed to have spread to everyone's ears. Everyone knew something about me that even I didn't know. And nobody wanted to tell me what that was.
“Are you sure?” I asked from Eunmi. She shook her head. Seemed like everyone else knew the secret but Eunmi and I.
“I'm telling the truth Miranda, Bambam wouldn't tell me.”
I sighed and continued writing my essay. I could see Jackson and JB sitting one desk away from us, talking about something. Their faces were serious, and I can swear I saw JB throwing short glances at me. They were obviously talking about me. I nudged Eunmi with my elbow and nodded towards the gossiping pair of guys. Eunmi shook her head. “You shouldn't care about them. Just ignore it.”
How could I possibly ignore someone gossiping about me. The truth was, that I really wanted to punch both of the guys in their faces. How could anyone be so mean? They could obviously see that I had noticed them talking about me, but they didn't care. Even JB turned his head away.
“How can I ignore it? It feels so bad...” I mumbled and swallowed. I thought Eunmi hadn't heard me, but she sighed and let her hand travel on my hand. She squeezed tight and smiled. “You still got me! They're just a bunch of jerks, they don't deserve your attention. Just remember, you're beautiful and young and talented, there's no need to feel bad right?”
I felt a smile spreading on my face. This girl knew how to brighten me up.
