Chapter 17

I had so much fun today. Once again I regret drifting apart from Sungyeol. We played with the kids from the playground, ate something, just walked around the city and eventually dared each other to do certain things. My phone buzzed. I looked at the display and saw a message from Sungyeol. It was a photo from him and a stranger. I smiled. I dared him to ask the next two women who pass the café we were sitting in if he could take a photo with them. He didn't look too euphoric but he did it anyway. The first one was an old woman in her 70s who mistook Sungyeol for a Kpop star because of his looks and was fond of the idea of taking a photo with him. He had a though time getting that halmoni to leave. It was hilarious. The next one he had to ask was a pretty girl our age. She thought he was hitting on her and started flirting like crazy. You should have seen his disgusted face! I couldn't help but laugh.

We started writing each other messages. Mostly about the highlights of today. One girl at the playground confessed to Sungyeol. Imagine it, it took him one day to have three women falling for him. How many people out there have fallen for him? I a little about his popularity and told him he had a way with girls. I think he was a little embarrassed by the topic because he changed the the topic as fast as he could. Believe me it wasn't a very smooth segue. I took a shower and afterwards we made our homework together. Well, more like we split the homework. We both did half and afterwards we sent a photo with the solutions. I should really do those things more often. A day like this had a serious impact on my mood. I was as happy as I haven't been in a while anymore. After finishing the homework we chit-chatted and teased each other a lot. After we hung up I laid down in my bed and thought about the day. It was awesome. Sungyeol was a cool person to be around. He could easily make one laugh. As I laid there waiting for sleep to come there were a few things I noticed. First of all it was a long time ago that Myungsoo and I had so much to laugh about. Second of all I didn't even think about Myungsoo once after he left and third of all when I think about him now I don't get this strange warm feeling inside me. Could it be possible for me to finally leave my first love behind? I don't know and I hate it if there are things I don't know. I took out my phone and stared at a picture of Myungsoo. There was not the unstoppable smile that always claimed my lips if I looked at his photo. I didn't feel the urge to giggle like a crazy fangirl. I felt a stronger bond than I felt when I had been with Sungyeol today but was that love? Yes, it was. But even though I love him I am not sure if I was IN LOVE with him. Maybe it was time for me to move on.
