“Good morning!” the five young adults said in unison as Mr. and Mrs. Jung entered the dining hall. 

Jessica, Tiffany, and Yoona immediately ran towards them to give them both a hug. Yuri and Taeyeon slowly came to approach them as well, but something caught their eyes. Two figures slowly entered the room right after the Jungs did. 

“Ah…You’ve grown so tall, little Yoong! I have been monitoring your drama series ever since you have starred in it…” Mrs. Jung mused as she gave Yoona a hug.

“Oh…I’m thankful for your support, auntie!” Yoona said with a smile as they broke the hug. 

Then, Mrs. Jung turned to Tiffany who opened her arms to hug her aunt. “Omo, Miyoungie! Welcome back! I haven’t seen you in a while…So how did your studies in the States go?” 

“I missed you, auntie! I had just finished my studies there and I’m going to be handling our family’s company soon. Jessi and I have talked about opening a new boutique together…” Tiffany smiled as she gave her aunt a peck on the cheek. 

In the meantime, Mr. Jung gave his eldest daughter a hug. “How is my princess, doing?” 

“I’m fine, dad…So far, your stocks have been soaring…How are Krystal and Yunho-oppa doing?” Jessica replied as she managed to smile at her father. 

“Your elder brother has been handling our business well in Paris, France and he has built his very own company there. Your younger sister is still studying in a boarding school in England and she says she misses you already…” Mr. Jung replied as he recalled his vacation with his wife in Europe. Jessica’s parents have toured the continent with a few stops to see their children who were living in the two mentioned countries. 

“Oh…It’s nice to hear that they’re adjusting well to the culture…And welcome home, appa!” Jessica gave her father a big hug which never escaped Taeyeon’s gaze. 

Then, the Jung heiress came to greet her mother who had a nice chat with her cousins. Jessica’s cousins gave the mother and daughter some space for awhile as they entertained their uncle. Yuri and Taeyeon seemed to be taken aback by the two people who had just entered the room after Jessica’s parents had arrived. 

Yuri came towards the two newcomers and gave them a low bow before greeting them while Taeyeon remained rooted to the floor, unmoved. 

“A pleasant morning to you, uncle and auntie. We didn’t expect to see you together with Mr. and Mrs. Jung….” Yuri said. 

“Ah, you have grown well, Yuri! It’s so nice to see you after so many months!” Mr. and Mrs. Kim smiled at the polite boy before turning their attention towards the Jung family and their famous relatives. Yuri gave them another bow in return.

“Oh, so Actress Im lives with your Jessica?” Mrs. Kim was delighted when she came towards them. The Jung mother and daughter pair turned their attention to her as she came to them. 

“Ah yes, Yoona lives with our Jessica.” Mrs. Jung replied with a smile before turning to her daughter. “Jessica, I want you to meet Mr. and Mrs. Kim. I’m sure you have known them through business transactions between our families…” 

Jessica bowed before the Kims and greeted them. “I’m enchanted to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Kim. And I am honored to welcome you to my home….” 

Taeyeon’s parents were impressed by the girl before them. “Oh darling, you’re so sweet. I am glad to finally meet you! And call me umma from now on… ” Mrs. Kim smiled as she proceeded to shower a confused Jessica in a tight embrace. Mr. Kim simply gave the girl a smile before turning to his best friend who happened to be Jessica’s father. 

“Your daughter sure is pretty…” Mr. Kim said to his buddy before turning his sights to a familiar figure who wasn’t interacting with anyone and was standing uncomfortably in the room. 

“Wait…I didn’t know Taeyeon and Jessica were friends…” Mr. Kim pointed out when he saw Taeyeon standing and watching everyone interact. 

Mr. Jung followed his friend’s gaze. “Oh…So, this is your boy?” Mr. Jung mused as he and his best buddy approached the young man. 

Taeyeon bowed to the two respectable men approaching him. “Good morning, Mr. Jung…and…father…” 

“Ah yes…This is my Taeyeon…He’s our third child in the family…right after Tae Hee and Jaejoong…” Mr. Kim said as he recalled three of his children. 

“Oh…I met your second child on a business trip and he’s really smart but I think Taeyeon’s perfect since he’s around her age…” Mr. Jung mused as he patted the confused young man’s back.

“Oh…Taeng…Why didn’t you pick up your phone? Your father and I have been calling you…” Mrs. Kim mused as she went over to her son.

Taeyeon simply scratched the back of his neck before sheepishly answering, “Umma…I kind of left my phone in my car…I’m sorry…” 

“Oh…It’s all right dear…We had wanted to let you come with us here and meet the Jungs but since you’re already here…I’m just as happy to know that you and Jessica are together…” Mrs. Kim mused. 

“Yep…Taeyeon and Jessica looked perfect for each other!” Mr. Kim chided as he placed his hand on Taeyeon’s shoulder. 

The young Kim’s eyes widened when he heard his father’s statement. It was a good thing his cousin didn’t hear them as Yuri was busy talking to Mrs. Jung and the other girls. His parents’ statements made him all the more confused of the reason why they were together with the Jungs. 

But before Taeyeon could clarify anything, Mr. Jung cleared his throat gaining everyone’s attention. “Well, why don’t we continue our conversations over breakfast, shall we?” he announced.
