Tiffany found herself sitting alone at a local café not far from her family’s establishment. She was nursing a headache after a meeting called by her father. Her family’s company had voted for her to take up the chairperson seat and involve herself in her family’s business as the lone heiress. The revelation burdened her given that she did not want any part of her family’s business. The young surgeon was set on simply involving herself with the fashion industry and perhaps the entertainment field.

She mindlessly stirred her cup of warm latte as she stared out into the dimmed streets. People were still abuzz, hurrying to their respective bus stops to catch the last ride for the night. Others were running late for their graveyard shifts as they scurried about in hasty steps.

The café’s door chimes rattled, catching Tiffany’s attention. She wondered who could be joining in on the late night coffee run as she scanned the rest of her surroundings, noting the seniors and their cups of hot chocolate animatedly talking to each other and some students burning the midnight oil. She spotted the lone figure dressed in a dark jacket complemented with dark leggings and running shoes; a small black purse dangling from her tall form. The newcomer was female and oddly familiar to Tiffany.

The new customer made her order, paying for the bill before she turned to scan the café for any vacant seats. Oddly enough, Tiffany noticed that despite it being late, the café was still swarming with patrons and her table was the only one with a vacancy. The newbie seemed to have figured it out as the tall young woman padded towards Tiffany’s seat.

“Excuse me, oh,” a flash of recognition made Tiffany look up to meet her eyes, “it’s you from that sidewalk. I recognize you…” Tiffany flashed her practiced eye smile before offering the seat for the familiar stranger.

“My name’s Stephanie Hwang, but you can call me Tiffany.” Tiffany said as she held out a hand, which the newcomer took and shook.

“Nice to meet you, Tiffany. I’m Summer. Summer Choi.” The figure sitting across the table smiled. It took Tiffany a few seconds before realization had hit her. “Oh my, you’re a model! I saw you at the Paris fall/winter fashion week last year!” Summer chuckled at Tiffany’s outburst, earning curious looks from the other patrons.

“Please, don’t be overly excited. It was just a temporary thing.” Summer tried to calm the hyperventilating Hwang down. A waiter came up to them and served Summer her frappe, giving Tiffany the time to recompose herself.

“So, what brings you back here in Korea, Ms. Choi?”

“Call me, Summer.” Summer insisted as she took a sip of her frappe.

“Sorry, Summer.” Tiffany said sheepishly, her heart pounding from the excitement of meeting a supermodel.

Summer laughed some before she answered the Hwang’s question, “I kind of finished my contract in Paris and I decided that I would prefer working here. Paris was nice, but it wasn’t home.”

Tiffany gave her a look of empathy, “I guess that answers it. I used to live in the US, too. I’m a surgeon and I had worked there for some time, but I wasn’t really happy with my job because I had no family there. Now, I’m back here and planning on a business with my cousins.”

Summer took this as an opportunity to learn more about Tiffany, “Oh, so you have a business here?”

“Yes, my family owns Hwang Industries.” Tiffany smiled.

The Choi pretended to be surprised, “Wow, so you are a chaebol’s daughter! Aren’t you by chance, related to Jung Jessica?” Tiffany chuckled at Summer’s assumption, “She’s my cousin along with actress Im. If you’re familiar with Jung Krystal, then, you’d know that she’s also my youngest cousin.”

“I know actress Im. Jung Krystal is Jung Jessica’s youngest sibling, right? She’s the little genius who helped solve some of Europe’s economic crises with her thesis proposal. Jung Krystal was all over European news last year and I was lucky to meet her on one of her random vacations in Paris! Isn’t their eldest, Mr. Jung Yunho?”

Tiffany nodded, “The one and only.”

Sorry for the long wait. lol! Cheers to the Hectic Holidays and may you all enjoy this spontaneous update! P.S. Drive safe and responsibly, people. I've been through 3 car accidents and all three of them involved hitting my side of the vehicle. It was good that nobody got hurt.
