I bit my lips and lift a frozen smile. I am so surprised, Jonghoon is here in front of us now. He is much taller than the last time I saw him. He is still wearing a back pack, seeming that he went up straight here to see Shin. He came late for today, it is already pass nine. 

I stepped forward. Shin’s eyes are stick into mine. Mine on hers.

I wonder if she already knew what happened to me today. I just wonder, because the way she looked into my eyes is something I saw before. I just don’t know what to call with those look. I’m sure she looked at me that way before. Maybe twice or thrice, very seldom.

“Shinhye, I missed you so much. I’m so sorry it took me so long, you are so cold. Literally. ” Jonghoon caressed her hair. Her smooth hair.

Shin blinked. She was the first who loosen Jonghoon’s hug.

“Yong..” She said.

Jonghoon glanced at me. He was surprised that I am in front of them. He rushed to me and punched my chest slightly. A friendly greet. “Yonghwa, it’s been a long time.” He laughed. “You became more handsome.”

I smiled at him. “You too, Jonghoon.”

He clings on Shin’s petite shoulder. “Did you take good care of your best friend while I’m gone?”

“O-of course, Jonghoon.” I’m completely out of this conversation. It seems a very long day for me. I want this day to end. I want to rest now. I’m happy that Jonghoon is back, of course Shin is way more happy. But for now, I want to rest my head and take a deep sleep. In that order, I can continue what I used to be tomorrow morning.

“Choi Jonghoon..” Shin suddenly said. “You are tired. I said you don’t have to bother going here.” She said, I don’t know if she’s angry or worried.

Jonghoon ruffled her hair. “But you are waiting.” He pouted. “You are waiting for me..”

“I am. But it got nothing to do with me. I can stand here as long as I want.” She said. “Go home now, you’re back. We can talk tomorrow morning.” She said coldly.

I don’t know if she meant those words. In front of Jonghoon and me. It seems she is not in her state. If I am Jonghoon I will be annoyed. I’ve got here and now she’s saying to go home. If I was Jonghoon, but I’m not.

“Okay, I’ll go home.” He kissed her cheek. “We have the time of our lives. I’ve waited for so many years, so a night won’t kill me.”

Jonghoon tapped my shoulder. “Let’s go.”

I nod and we start to walk away.

“Jung Yonghwa.” Shin coldly stated my name.
