Woori sat up and found the two cousins chatting in Mandarin.

“How long was I out?”

“An hour or so.” Lay grinned at her; Kris placed a cup of coffee in front of her.

“Seeing you two gathered here, I sense….incoming danger.” She murmured as she sat up.

“Not really, but this,” Lay dropped and envelope on the table.

“It’s an opening.”

Woori made a face.

“Where?”

“I’ll~”

“Don’t pick me up, I’ll drive tonight.” She opened the envelope.

“I’ll be there then, can we get lunch now?”

Kris nodded and stood up.

“Those are….jeans?” Lay looked at her as she stood up, he knelt down and pressed his finger on the bare skin of her thigh.

Kris shook his head and went out of the room; Woori rolled her eyes at him.

“So when are you going to let me meet this girl?” Woori asked.

“Soon,”

“Kris doesn’t know, should~”

“It’s fine, even though you tell him, do you think he’ll react?”

Woori chuckled.

“He wont be of help anyway.”

“Aniya, I wont be around tomorrow, a few days left till all these festival shows start, I need to practice with Shinee again.”

Lay nodded and waited for the food.

“Right, Wu Yifan, I’m going to borrow your girlfriend this weekend.”

Kris looked up.

“Why?”

Woori chuckled.

“Just…like that..I can right?”

Kris rolled his eyes.

“I have to attend this?” The man looked up from the invitation.

“Yes, it was sent earlier by the Wus.”

“Wu Empire.” He nodded, remembering the faces he knew.

“It’s one of their newest expansions, sir. And, as you asked, I have not yet contacted the young miss.”

He smiled.

“Of course, I know where to see her. Is she doing well?”

“Yes, she’s always been well protected.”

“Of course.” He nodded and looked at the invitation again.

Woori nestled herself on the comforts of an empty table with a glass of Cristal on hand. She set the glass on the table.

She watched as Kris talked with some of the Wus’ partners, Yixing was chatting with one of the top managers of their company.

She smiled to herself.

Woori had just arrived home from class, she was mentally cursing for actually enrolling night periods. She slid through her home’s iron gates, then she felt someone push her in.

“Wh~”

She instantly recognized, her neighbor’s tall silhouette.

“Kris?”

Kris was panting heavily and they walked to the garden. Woori glanced at him.

“So….Sleepover?” She mused, Kris shook his head.

“You know, even though technically, your cousin is my best friend, that doesn’t give you the right to barge in my house.” Woori murmured, then she glanced at the two story house just beside her family’s home.

“Did you..escape home?”

Kris sat down, and looked at her.

“How long have we been friends?”

“About….six years? Well, I met you through Yixing when we were thirteen.”

Kris nodded.

“Kim Woori?”

“What?” She groaned before sitting beside him.

“Be my fake girlfriend.”

Woori shook her head, she had no idea why she said yes, but she did really want to help Kris that time, and it seemed to be the only way.

“Hi.” A masculine voice joined her thoughts; she looked up and saw a man sitting beside her.

Kris nodded politely at the elder man, then he glanced behind him. Woori was sitting down, obviously trying to entertain herself.

He smiled at her direction before turning to the person he was talking with.

“Do…I know you?” Woori asked.

“I know Kris, I’ve always seen you with him.” He smiled greasily. Woori nodded, not interested.

“Say, Woori-ssi, why don’t we step out and~”

Woori’s eyes landed on the entrance doors.

She blanched.

“If you’re asking her out, don’t.”
